Where is the best place to buy a 59K? Website or face to face? And what is the price point I should be looking for with a 2022 or 2023? Is there a big diff between 2022 and 2023?
@@chrishamilton1189 there are two chassis for 2023. The easiest way to tell them apart is the newer 2023s have a different wheel with some black on it as I recall where the older chassis has an all silver wheel. I was shopping a few months ago and the newer chassis wasn’t discounted as much as the older chassis. Considering how hard it is to get service I’d try and find a dealer that is within a reasonable distance of where you live. Seems like the dealers on the west coast were discounting more than dealers in the southeast. The dealers pay nearly the same for the units it’s just a matter of being patient and making a local dealer be competitive with offers you solicit online. Good luck. I love our 2020.5 59K.
@@chrishamilton1189just make sure it's the new generation of travato on the 9 speed ram promaster chassis with electronic steering. They are on pare with their competitors now.
a note on generators, we live in hot humid south and generator is a must for us. If it has the new Onan 2800 inverter generator, it is very quiet, low vibration and fuel injected. I’ve had one for 3 years and love❤❤❤ it
The Winni Travado with the generator is the most practical setup. If you cook a lot go with induction, otherwise the induction cooktop makes for one less fuel/power source to deal with. We added a fold-up table beside the sink. The wardrobe in the back is the best!
Vancaskeys, have you ever looked at the RoadTreks!! We have a 2023 RoadTrek Play and its the best layout with rear twin beds that can be a king, side bath, 6 cubic foot fridge, nice kitchen, 400AH AGM batteries, under hood generator, 3000 watt inverter standard. There are other models like the Zion, Chase, etc. I think you will love the quality (made in Canada), 20 feet length, has a maserator standard on all models, and very stealth, no hookups or RV indicators present, all hidden. Check them out!
We have decided on the Travato with the 59K floor plan. We rented a 2023 for 5 days and it was outstanding. New chassis has lots of safety features and new headlights 28:13 . No FireFly or BMPro is actually a big plus. There is also MORE storage under one of the beds. We too are empty nesters.
I would definitely go with the Winnebago Travato! I would do the lithium package with the induction stove top! Induction heats up so incredibly fast, and no poisonous gases inside your RV. Plus induction is super controllable! Yes I was a gas stove top only for the longest time but I’ve had induction now for almost a year and I would never go back to gas again! The induction goes into the pan versus heating up your van like Gas does.
For those of you who are looking at the $100k+ price tags on these RV’s and feeling discouraged - this is not the only pathway to a class B van. My wife and I own a 25 year old ’98 Roadtrek 170P. We purchased it 2 years ago with 90k on the odometer for about $10k and have put about $5k in repairs to the chassis and upgrades to the camper side. We love it. These newer Class B’s are beautiful, but please just know that you don’t need new and shiny to get out and explore the world in a van. There are actually some advantages to older vans too. Ours has an old school propane fridge with zero electronics to break and uses no battery - we can run it for weeks on a single fill of our onboard propane tank - you can’t even buy a fully manual propane RV fridge nowadays. Also, even if you have the budget for a new van I would strongly consider buying one that is a few years old - why? Just like a new car, once you drive it off the lot it depreciates in value massively. Plus, buying a van that is a few years old it’s likely that the kinks/issues that are common to many new RV’s have been already been fixed by the previous owners.
I've always liked the twin bed/rear bath layout. It allows one person to snooze in later, while allowing the other to move about. When the table is in place, the beds form the sitting bench. The beds due double duty. Also, visually, the living area seems much more open, without counters on both sides narrowing the space. You do sacrifice a little bit of of kitchen counter, however.
Honestly, we move about fine with one resting even with the larger bed made. If you want to go back to the bath, yes that's an issue but otherwise we cope well with it. We normally make up the bed for the day while traveling, it's easy enough to do. My wife is small and we still couldn't rest comfortably in the twins. Hard for us to rest well thinking about rolling over too much and hitting the floor. That would hurt pretty bad no doubt, but we've heard of many using them as twins. The converted bed is nearly a King, hard to find in any rig but esp one this small.
We looked at just about every Ram Promaster B van before deciding on the 59k. It really is the perfect setup. Life is short. Do whatever you need to do to dump your current B and buy the 59k. You will NOT be disappointed.
I absolutely love my 2020 Travato 59K! Water hookup is outside and those two beds do have tilt up ends at the rear so you can have a place to lean your back and watch the TV that does swing out into the open space so you can watch it from outside as well. GO FOR IT! Keep on keepin' on!
We just bought a ethos Entegra coach 2023 20T! Love it and the openness of the rig. Price is within a great price range not to high not to low… just right. We are off on our 4+ month Summer VaCa and so far so happy🥰🥰🥰
You guys need to take a look at a Coachmen Nova. It's built on the Ram Promaster chassis so it meets your driveway length requirements and is offered in 3 different floorpans with the option of lithium or generator model. Of course price point varies between lithium and generator version but I think you would be quite pleased with the fit and finish of the Coachmen product.
I am currently a full timer in a truck camper and have become interested in Class B vans. I like to keep things simple and that Winnebago Adventurer seems decent. What I do like is a shower and ac and did not see that in the model shown.
Hi! My wife and I enjoy your videos.Sorry about all the problems you had with your B. We have a Travato 59K and it is even better than you think. A couple of things you might have missed. Starting with the 2022 model year the bed has a european style slat system that just pulls across the isle. 5 seconds! No silly legs and boards to make the bed. And it’s a King size bed! Only challenge is getting to the bathroom at night if you sleep with your head towards the back. But it’s easy once you get the hang of it; get up on your knees and turn around. You may have missed the enormous storage under the passenger bed. More hints: add a Lagun mount midway along the passenger bed. Now you have a table mid way on the “sofa” where you can sit opposite each other to eat, play cards etc. Note that the sofas are deep and dont especially lend themselves to seating without dangling legs. Our bedding is in bolster/covers we made and they make a good backrest. Might still need a foot rest but that’s easy. The T facebook group is nuts- they know more than Winnebago so support is just a question away. We would love to share more just reach out. One more thing it’s a commodity. once you know what you want shop nationwide. we ordered ours and got it at a great price-sounds like what you paid for your Thor.
It's the best seller for a reason. We have had a Travato 59KL for 3.5 years. Love not having to change over the beds to dinning like other B-vans. Great for getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and not disturb your spouse. We are often full time and making up larger bed for some snuggle time take 2 minutes. The Ram may be the least "sexy" of the B chassis, but it always gets the jog done. Something else you may not realize is there is a lot more storage than other Bs. For example, the Coachman may seem to have similar overhead compartments, but they are not as tall or deep. Insulation is good, and we often use the van in 20-dgree weather without the need to winterize. Insulation now is even improved over when we purchased our van. Available Lithium system is great, as we can run the A/C all night if needed - and my wife likes it really cool. Nice that the most recent edition has a new Ram dashboard ,which was way over due. We can both work if needed, with one computer setup at the passenger area and the other between the beds. I replaced our TV with a 27" monitor that is great for work as a second monitor and for streaming movies, when desired. Yes, bathroom size is great. We always shower in the Van.
I bought my Travato K back in 2018, I absolutely love it, has the 2800 W generator. I put 300 W of solar on the roof upgraded to a MPPT charge controller, put two 100 AH lithium batteries on it. The AC has some trouble keeping it cool inside here in Phoenix in the summer, but if I park in the shade, it helps a lot. I would not trade it for any other floor plan.
I love watching you guys! You both are so easygoing, give great honest reviews, and throw in the price as well! The Travato is my favorite van! I go and visit it at the RV dealership, hoping they will feel sorry for this single lady and hand one over!! Lol! Thanks guys!
Woof, that Winnebago Adventure Wagon is $130k with basically duffel bags hung up as storage compartments and a fold out sink you can get at Walmart? Sorry to whoever gets suckered into that.
I own a 2022 Coachmen Nova 20C and absolutely LOVE it! Have you checked out the Nova 20C, 20D or 20RB yet? The build quality is amazing and would buy another one all over again for sure! Thank you for sharing this extra fun video! I always look forward to another Wednesday with the Vancaskeys!
I agree....we are about to take delivery of our second Coachmen class B. 1st one was a Beyond C model...after 2 years of ownership we decided we absolutely love #vanlife but wanted the RB model so sold the C and getting Beyond RB very soon. The quality is night and day difference above all others we've seen.
The Travato you saw today is on the new advance chassis. That alone has added $8,000 to the price. It is beautiful and has many added features. Because you live in Arizona the white van would be much cooler than your Granite Gray. The new Travato has both the new quiet generator and the new quiet A/C. Travato comes in to styles, the twin bed / rear bath and the dinette model with a front dinette and corner bath and corner bed. For those who desire to spend a lot of time at a work station or dinette the “G” Travato is ideal. However the bed is small and your head is at the back door, so it is cold and noisy back there. With the rear bath “K” the ability to work or dine is there but on smaller tables. With the twin beds you have day loungers as well as night beds. You can choose the twin beds, or make up the near king size bed at night. You can sleep in all four directions in the Travato K with the width of the Ram Promaster. The passenger side bed is good size but the driver side is smaller. When made into the larger bed the driver side feels larger because your feet can go through the bathroom door and you could be fine on either side. The downside of the larger bed is that you sleep with your head forward mostly so that you have easy to access the bathroom. There is a cutout in the middle of the bed so you can get out of bed and into the bathroom at night. But in the morning turning to front is a bit of a gymnastics event.
Hey guys, love your videos! Although I’ve cooled off on the RV idea, it lurks in my head and I enjoy the info. The Winnebago’s floor plan is quite good, I like the center beds and rear bath. I’d encourage you to consider Embassy…the owners seem super happy, you don’t see them sold used (the owners hang on to them), and you can choose a RAM or Ford chassis (Bob I know you like the Benz but they’re way more $ to maintain and repair). The Travato will be a more affordable price point most likely. Enjoy the chase!!!
I love the 59g because of the fold up bed in the back, and the larger refrigerator-freezer. I think the new price is way up there like over 170k. My suggestion for you two folks being so tall is to sell your house, buy one with a longer driveway, then get a class A motorhome with more space. 😊
Even with higher prices now, you can get a G for a lot less than 170. Must have been the msrp sticker price. We got our 2022 KL new for 126K and picked up in Sept 21. Have seen some Ks and Gs for 120-125 lately. Regarding their height, I'm the same and there's no issue with this van. For our use, this is ideal and we can park it in our driveway and park in a normal parking spot while traveling. Filling the tank doesn't kill you either and the gas mileage is pretty nice. Just a personal preference for each owner for sure.
We've never owned an RV, but after looking at a bunch of them, we also liked the Travaro for similar reasons. The bathroom/shower was more useable, the center section was more open and airy, and the platform was likely the most fuel efficient.
Is there a reason why you don’t want a can to look like an RV? We went from a can to a truck camper and then to a Thor Gemini, you gave to see them. It truly is amazing.
The wife and I have been enjoying your videos, thanks for the entertaining and informative content. With you two being tall, you should really consider the Coachmen Beyond, 22RB (Rear Bath) It's on the Ford chassis with provides far superior performance, more headroom, a much more comfortable seating position, and the availability of AWD. The Coachmen quality is great and so is their customer service. Additionally, the stability of the dual rear wheels make a huge difference compared to the single rear wheels on the Promaster. We have a 2022 Beyond and love it. Once you test drive one, you'll be a believer. Will Williams
We got the coachmen cross trail 20xg. AWD. Class B+. the little extra room is game changer but still very petite. Came in at 120k. Much more affordable. Forrest river rep handling the few warranty issues has been great. We have 15k miles on it already and love it. Love the size. Can park regular spots.
Great info. We just bought our 2nd van - Coachmen Galleria Li3 4x4 - after owning an Era for only 6 months. We quickly learned that the Era wasn’t as well suited for year round use and boondocking and there were so many things we couldn’t have anticipated when we bought that. Watching you guys go through this makes me realize we aren’t alone in our journey of finding just the right fit. Good luck and thanks for posting!
Enjoy watching your adventures.. My wife and I were interested in the tellaro 20a and after research and some of your adventures" we ruled it out. We were at an rv show recently and really liked the travato 59k. Watching your video helped reinforce our decision to buy here at Rec Van in Fremont. Great deals for a 2023 chassis 131,000 out the door price for upgraded paint, no deviations and upgraded awning style windows!
The Travato is a great van!!! Another similar layout and good quality is the Coachman Beyond RB (Ford) or Nova RB (Ram) models (RB is the rear bath model).
@@Vancaskeys we really like the Travato too. But it doesn’t have the storage space for my husband’s music gear. He’s a full time musician and we use the van to travel to his shows. So we have a fixed bed for lots of garage storage.
nicely done and information appreciated. Have a 40’ 5th wheel and just got a Ram 2500 that has the floor, walls, bed in back with solar and vent installed. WE are taking it from there. new subscriber.
We always think the grass is greener on the other side. But ask yourself one question - do you really go off roading? have you follow the RUclips channel -One advanture at a time. This couple takes their Promaster everywhere. They should be promaster reps. My suggestion is to keep the one you currently have and put some miles on it. Also, you can have it modify for some off roading. Even the fancy vans get dirty. For me, I would stay with what I can afford and fix it up! Happy travels!
I love twin beds with bathroom in the back. It's so, so convenient. Winnebago makes a nice product. We have a Winnebago Class C, pre Covid build 2020. We bought it used, we've had to fix a few things here and there, like with everything. But if ours came in a twin bed model, I would have picked it in an instant!
I agree with you on the Travato. The only concern I would have would be the bed comfort because you can't just replace the cushions with a good mattress. On the topic of building a van, someone told me that yes you can customize it but if you ever needed to trade it in to a dealer, they would only give you the market value of the van itself without the customizations to a camper van. Something to consider since you guys seem to switch out/upgrade frequently. Thanks for all the reviews. We are looking for a Class B too and are on the fence about the model and cost. Happy travels.
While the beds in the Travato are definitely comfortable, there are many that add a quality topper. Because the beds don't double as the eating area they can just be left on all the time. We added a high density 3" Tempur-pedic topper to our Travato beds 3+ years ago. We rather sleep in the van than the guest room when visiting relatives.
The Trevato National Park series is a beaut vehicle. There are heaps of second hand ones on the market. They aren't built tough, but are extremely practical. Get a 3 inch lift, and all terrains and you're set!
We have the 2018 Travato 59k. We bought it sight unseen several years ago. It's a terrific travel van and so easy to drive. However, every RV comes with some problems and ours is a refrigerator that quits working when it's hot outside. That's a problem. My husband has "fixed" it over and over but it still happens randomly. Other than that, it's really a blessing for cross country traveling.
I love my Winnebago Solis 59 PX. We added 9000 watt hours of lithium to it and have a king bed in the back. I love the travatos and would get a G if they moved the bathroom to the side and had a giant bed in the back. I have had my Solis for two years without problems. I think the issues you have now are unlikely to happen with a Winnebago. Good luck on your decision.
You might want to check this guy. I saw some videos he did out of Jersey who builds Custom Vans. You take a cargo van you like and go over what you want /like to be in the van. Seems like it'd be cheaper than what these prices were, and you get your ideal van having it Custom made. Good luck
We actually have that same layout in the Jayco Swift we have the LI lithium package and we LOVE IT we Boondock and park anywhere we’ve been RVING for 30yrs and have had 9 different styles of RVs we downsized (not in price lol) to a B, the travato you saw has hookups/water fill inside not so convenient Jayco has them on the outside. We are headed to the Keyes again tomorrow for a week of adventures HAPPY TRAVELS!
My wife and I are travel nurses and we are downsizing from our LTV 24MB to better fit our work travel needs. We have looked at the Travato 59G, 59K and the Airstream Rangeline. Ya'll should go for it!
If you haven't bought yet, and are still looking at these, my wife and I would highly recommend the K. Even if you're talking about 2 smaller people, to climb out of the G bed is tough without completely disturbing your partner. There are aspects we liked about the G, the front eating area and the larger fridge, but the K bed making into what's almost a King was critical. We have so much room in the bed for a rig so small it's silly. Honestly on the fridge, the smaller one in the K is very deep and we really never have issues. The bath is the back is big for us too, I shower primarily outside with the privacy curtain hung between the doors. You may realize this already but the Ks seem to be in much higher demand. Means possibly harder to find but also would sell faster later, and higher too due to demand. They sell for the same price new essentially, but the K sells for higher on the used market we've noticed due to more Gs available. Good luck and thanks for saving lives and helping people.
I was there that Sunday. Was *this close* to upgrading to Entergra Ethos. Sadly I’m a bit upside down on my Scope 18M. Bob’s avoidance of the power beds always made me laugh - until I reclined 1 (won’t mention which brand) at that show & couldn’t get it back to sofa mode! 😂
Found it interesting you liked the Travato K so much, we have a 2022 but it's a KL so we have Lithium. If you can afford the L model, it's totally worth it in our opinion. We got ours in Sept 2021 and we have 22K miles now, with not many issues. The price on this non lithium at 127 is also interesting, we paid 125 for our Lithium so they've gone up quick for sure. We don't stay in one place very long usually, so we can take advantage of the fact ours charges while we drive. We haven't plugged in for shore power anywhere in over a year. My wife and I differ on the bed from her thoughts, we tried the twins one night and we both found it hard to rest well concerned about rolling over and falling on the floor. The VERY best aspect of the K model for us is the larger bed once you convert it, which is a quick easy process. It's larger than a queen for sure, not much smaller than a King. My wife is small and still felt the twin wasn't for her. One important note: Many owners seem to love the dual pane windows. Ours was to have them as well, but we would have incurred an unknown delay, even prior to big supply chain issues. We now love our sliders and very happy as numerous owners have had issues with dual pane. Windows falling out is the main culprit but other problems as well. Many owners have broken windows as they open their sliding door into an awning window that's open. They can also be scratched easily while cleaning. We also believe the insulation factor is over-rated as well, but we haven't done a scientific study. We just have learned to control temps somewhat with use of reflectix or other materials. She didn't mention it in the vid, but the bath in the back is great for another reason. Weather permitting, you can shower outside with a privacy curtain secured between the doors. I've showered outside nearly every time, maybe once inside. There's a quick connect hose in the back you can use to shower but I use the main shower head which reaches outside easily. Finally the 6 speed transmission, think it's 9 now which seems like overkill, is very helpful if you travel much in hilly areas. We've had ours at 12k ft elevation in CO and you'll get a brake warning light in no time without using the 6 or 9 speed. You just pull over and rest 10-15 mins to clear the light, but it helps to shift manually. It's been our experience it's been very rugged and a tough vehicle, we have put it through its paces already. The one problem with Travatos is how low the grey and black tank releases are in the back. You can easily bottom out and damage that area even with a normal curb so backing in spots isn't advised. Same for battery box in the back, you only have about 6-7 inches so you have to take great care. Thankfully a full year of research landed us our perfect rig on the first try, instead of 3rd as she mentioned. Good luck searching and travel safe
Saw a few descent models, but nothing I saw makes the wife and I regret the secession to go with the STO Beast… It fits our needs and the type of camping we currently do…. And we agree with you, EVERY RV, no matter the class will have issues to shake down/ work through. But there are some that have in our opinion way better quality and in our experience STO’s is top notch and their CS service even if its through their sub component companies is so good. We have been so blown away the service they provided us and response/ fix time we have experienced with our two issues thus far. And the STO Family/community is another HUGE selling point that made our decision super easy to hand over a bit more premium cost, and yes there are a few other makes that seem to have a good community but IMHO none are as good. Thanks for the video nice to see folks go to B only shows, well done and again thank you.
I bought a 2020 Ford Transit high roof in 2020. I built a bed frame for it, open cabinets, spice rack and a few other things. I would love to learn how to put an electric system in or have it put in. I’ve also got an Iceco cooler in and I love that. This van is AWD and has Egoboost. I should have gotten the heavy duty Transit because it would have given me about 22” more room.
I almost got the Travato K, however ended up building out an adventure van professionally. Super happy with it. Of course, I know what I would do different next time :) that's always the case. I think, now that you guys know what you want, that would be a fun process for you to go through, and you can ensure of the quality of the materials and get everything you want in it! So many great builders and options out there. I say order your cargo van now or at least start looking for one, it could take a while. For you, I vote for a high top extended Ford Transit 👍
I’ve always liked the 59K. It’s been my favorite layout for a long time. I would definitely buy Winnebago over Thor for sure. Seeing what you two have been through scares me. I realize that it’s all RVs but I like the fact that Winnebago builds a lot of their items in house. Love watching you guys. Great video, happy trails.
We’ve done the vans, mini motor home, the gas 36ft “A”motor home, the 42 ft diesel “A” and then the 38 ft fifth wheel (2) different ones pulled by a diesel crew cab truck. Now we think if your traveling A to B staying 2-5 days in each location the Diesel 42 or bigger is the way to travel. But, if you are going to stay a 2weeks to 3 months the fifth wheel is the most comfortable way to stay. But horsepower and space is the biggest factor for us. At 81/82 years old the motor home is what we would buy at this time in our life. I understand most good secure campgrounds are going to cost you around $80.00 + a night. And a decent motel will cost you $150.00 + now you do the math after pricing all the options.
Ah, I notice you didn't run into a Pleasure Way or a RoadTrek on your B search odyssey. I have a PW OnTour and love it. Yes, it costs more than Thor or Winnebago. With that said, I love your adventures and keep acquiring experience!
We have an Entegra Ethos 20T Li. We love having twin beds and back bath. Twin beds are so easy to put sheets on, lol. And we love how open the layout is. We also prefer black tank to casette tank. Travato has better windows and lagun table. As we often say, there’s always tradeoffs. Good luck with whatever you choose
@@Vancaskeys ours are two different lengths 80” and 74” so we use Twin XL and twin respectively. We also bought twin foam mattresses and cut them to size - we sleep so much better now.
Awesome choice, This one was also my favorite, love the single beds and bathroom in the back, An outdoor shower off the back where you can open the doors and a curtain goes around, would make it perfect! ❤❤❤❤
I love the open layout of the Travato 59K, but we decided we really wanted a pop top for this stage in our lives. We’re going with the Winnebago Solis PX. I’ve heard a few too many horror stories about the Thor vans. All RVs seem to have glitches, but it really sounds as if Winnebago’s quality is more reliable than Thor.
The 23 Winnebego Travato with the twin beds, bath in the back is what we would replace our 2022 Thor Tellaro for. We have the same layout but the Travato is better. We love the rear bath and separate beds. The quality is better than Thor. We added the drop downs above to our Thor. You can get the Travato with batteries instead of generator if you want. But I'm not sure if we would want the batteries again. Maybe the generator would be better at this point. We have a similar story to yours. Our van has 2 names. Split personality. Vandora ( as in Pandoras box) when she is being a Mr Lemon and Van Morrison when he is being awesome haha.
Well neighbors I am thinking you missed the B show at Cardinal stadium about 15 months ago. I went to it with the sole purpose of picking the best all wheel drive or 4x4 B Van (Sprinter) and came away with the same thought you did. Winnebago Travato all the way. My toughest decision is Lithium or no Lithium?? Great video and and thanks for sharing prices
Hu Neal! With the issues we are having with lithium we find ourselves wishing we had a generator at this point. But I don’t think our issues are common. Most people we talk with prefer lithium.
I had a Class C with a generator and it was just not for me. It was relatively quiet but it was in for repairs constantly. Lithium is a clear choice but still pricey
If you build yourself, plan for it to take at minimum 6 months to complete, if all parts are delivered on time. That is working on it full time, all day every day. Built mine (simple build) that is how long it took me.
Dazzle is the same as Thor Twist, there are different plan plans, I am tall so the Dazzle/Twist 2LB (two long beds) is nice for those that are tall. The Dazzle/Twist 2LB as a large rear bath. The Travato 59k shown is the Dazzle/Twist 2LB floor plan. The Dazzle/Twist 2LB cost less than the Travato 59k, the only dif I see is the table.
Travato 59k was my fav too until I found out that the water hookup is inside……so you have to have the back doors open to be connected to city water. 🤯 Small refer was a no go!
You have to understand WGO uses this to sell it as a 4 season rig which is what we liked. We're never in one place very long but even on a 2 or 3 week trip, we've never needed more water. We have a friend that has a huge RV and this was odd to him as well, but he sets up in one spot for a week or longer. Most Travato owners use theirs in a different manner and don't mind the water connection. I love ours has virtually nothing on the outside, we can park where they normally run off RVs, and we do often. Also there are plenty of Travato owners that have done a mod near the connections and drilled an opening to run a line under the van to use for water while doors are shut. We just don't have need or interest in doing that.
You really don't go into the power source you would want. for boondocking, lithium is the way to go. My 2020 Winnebago Boldt is similar to the Travato you looked at. I wouldn't stray away from Lithium. Truly love my Van.
Starter van? I remember when a starter house was like $25,000 and a great Van would have been like $12,000... ninety-five percent of the population couldn't afford to buy any of these vans. If you look at other vanlifers on RUclips, most all are traveling around in vans that are 15-20 years old.
Yup, I paid $1300 total for my van. These days that a monthly payment. And I only bought mine 5 yrs ago. It was a smoking good deal though I bought it at an auction. 😊
70’s pricing is irrelevant. That’s like your Granddad saying sodas were only 15 cent when he was a kid but he fails to mention that he only made $1 per hr working his summer job at the gas station.
If you haven’t checked out Pleasureway Ontour 2.0 or 2.2, you should. They make good quality RVs that you’d like. Thank you for your RUclips videos, they are fun to watch.
A generator would provide the power to run the AC. You can always add lithium later. I have a Thor & it too has been a lemon. After talking to many about their challenges with the popular brand manufacturers, I personally will be doing a custom. The finish price will be more but a customed quality build is IMO a better value. Just have to wait and save for it.
We rented both a tellero which broke down. Then we rented to continue our trip.a travato which turned out to be the best way for us to finish our trip. The tellero rated 1 the travato rated 10 🎉.
A channel that gives the prices and opinions on value this is what I've been looking for.
Awesome!!!! Welcome to our channel!
We love our Travato 59k. We did a ton of research before we got it and it’s turned out to be the right choice. Couldn’t be happier with it.
Love this!
Great points! Thanks!
If it was $127,000 and has the new headlights...that's a good price.
Awesome!
Never used an induction stove but sounds like it is a good option.
Agree!
It does look like such a great one! Glad you love it!
Quarter of a million dollars for a van that,s crazy
Too bad the price tag isn’t 59K……
@@roadstar92220 yea but you get what you pay for.
@@roadstar92220 Hah! RIGHT! We wish!
I absolutely love my 2020 Travato 59K! Water hookup is outside and those two beds do have tilt up ends at the rear so you can have a place to lean your back and watch the TV that does swing out into the open space so you can watch it from outside as well. GO FOR IT! Keep on keepin' on!
So awesome! Thanks for sharing!
We did tons of research and landed on the Travato 59K about 6 weeks ago. We absolutely love it..........
Good to know this! Thanks!
We just bought a ethos Entegra coach 2023 20T! Love it and the openness of the rig. Price is within a great price range not to high not to low… just right. We are off on our 4+ month Summer VaCa and so far so happy🥰🥰🥰
Congratulations!!! We are so happy for you!!!
Yes, I see your vision lol
My dream Class B is the 2019 or 20
Travato 59G..
One day I will be blessed to own one!🤞🏾
Yes!!!!
We will take a look at it! Wish they had one at that show. Thank you!
You guys have fast become one of my favorite channels to watch.
@@Vancaskeys I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my 2022 Coachmen Nova 20C with the white cabinets!
Coachmen Nova RB is the RV to consider!
@@Vancaskeys I don’t think LaMasa sells Coachman B vans.
Wow. Thank you for sharing all this great info!
My new favorite channel for class B rvs. Hope your channel totally takes off and you can get the RV if your dreams with the revenue.
Thanks so much! 🙏🙏
Love this!
I love watching you guys! You both are so easygoing, give great honest reviews, and throw in the price as well! The Travato is my favorite van! I go and visit it at the RV dealership, hoping they will feel sorry for this single lady and hand one over!! Lol! Thanks guys!
Love, love, love my Winnebago ♥️ And their customer service is excellent.
Yay! This is great news!
Coachmen Nova R/B is the RV to consider!
Wow. Thanks for sharing such great information! We appreciate it!
Hey Bob, next time you're heading back to Carlsbad, CA hit me up. I can bring you my Coachman Beyond 22c 2022 model and give you a tour/test drive.. 😜
Ok! Thanks!
Nope, @12:26....that's a 2022 chassis. They sell the old models as 2023's The 2023 Promaster has a different nose and nice upgrades.
Is there a reason why you don’t want a can to look like an RV? We went from a can to a truck camper and then to a Thor Gemini, you gave to see them. It truly is amazing.
We need to check it out!
We need to look at that one. It signs a amazing.
Sounds amazing!
Glad you ended up with the one you love! It's a journey for sure!
Thank you! Wow! Great deals!
The Travato is a great van!!! Another similar layout and good quality is the Coachman Beyond RB (Ford) or Nova RB (Ram) models (RB is the rear bath model).
We need to look at those!
This video confirms that we did the right thing by making a DIY van. We have the layout we want and my husband can still stand up inside lol
We have a Sprinter 3500 170 extended. We love it. We like have the duallys for more stability
So jealous. Sounds fantastic!
@@Vancaskeys we really like the Travato too. But it doesn’t have the storage space for my husband’s music gear. He’s a full time musician and we use the van to travel to his shows. So we have a fixed bed for lots of garage storage.
28:27 build your own! It really is quite the experience! We ❤ our van!
How much did it cost to build?
I have the pleasure way Plato ts we keep the couch down and bought a really comfortable mattress on top and keep it as a fixed bed
That’s awesome!
FYI if you put the beds together and sleep sideways it’s a king. We cut our topper and put the little center piece in under bed. It’s working awesome
Awesome!!!👏👏👏
nicely done and information appreciated. Have a 40’ 5th wheel and just got a Ram 2500 that has the floor, walls, bed in back with solar and vent installed. WE are taking it from there. new subscriber.
Very cool!
Very good points! Thanks!
Or maybe a B+? On the Mercedes chassis ..
Fun video. Also liked the last van. Also in AZ so enjoy your channel with the local trips (dreaded summers just around the corner!)
Thanks! Where in AZ do you live? We are dreading the summer this year because it’s hard on our Van.
We also have the Entegra Ethos 20t. It seems to be the very same layout as the travato that you are looking at. It is a Ram Promaster.
That seems like a great one!
After a couple years of research we purchased a 2023 Travato 59k. Has the new chassis and updated headlights and front cap.
Sounds awesome!
You can buy a battery faucet for the water tank from Dometic (Hydration Faucet). Seen it at the Hershey RV show. Nice!
THis is good to know! Thanks!
PS love your videos!
Fun!!! Happy travels to you guys!
My wife and I are travel nurses and we are downsizing from our LTV 24MB to better fit our work travel needs. We have looked at the Travato 59G, 59K and the Airstream Rangeline. Ya'll should go for it!
Omg! The airstream Rangeline is amazing too!
Great, Enjoyed your experience picking a choosing a new RV. Good comments and suggestions.
Thank you!
The Thor Dazzle is exactly what I am looking for. Thank you for making this video, really saved me time and research.
We have been looking at the Dazzle JB as a daily driver. We have a large family and it fit all our needs. Everyone's needs are different.
That’s awesome. As a daily driver I can see how it would be a great option.
😂😂😂
We own a 1998 Dodge Xplorer and love the layout. We have been looking for something similar to upgrade. Your video is very helpful.
You 2 are so cool!! And I love how her hair is always sooo beautiful!!!
Thank you so much!!
Be sure and look at the Bayside by Chinook. It has the rear bath on a Transit chassis.
Ok! Thanks!
Love my Travato!! 2017 and 103,000 miles. Good choice.
So great to hear!!
So awesome! We do love the Ford chassis!
Who was your pro builder?
I’ve always liked the 59K. It’s been my favorite layout for a long time. I would definitely buy Winnebago over Thor for sure. Seeing what you two have been through scares me. I realize that it’s all RVs but I like the fact that Winnebago builds a lot of their items in house. Love watching you guys. Great video, happy trails.
So true! Thank you!
Thank you thank you thank you!!! So appreciate your posts focusing on the real Van life
You are so welcome!
I love the same van with twin beds & bath in back of van .only on Ford chasis
Sweet!
One of the best reviews I've listened to. Thank you!
Thank you! We appreciate this!
Ah, I notice you didn't run into a Pleasure Way or a RoadTrek on your B search odyssey. I have a PW OnTour and love it. Yes, it costs more than Thor or Winnebago. With that said, I love your adventures and keep acquiring experience!
Thank you! YEah...they didn't seem to have those at this show.
Making the bed in our van can be quite the ordeal! Do regular twin sheets fit on your beds?
@@Vancaskeys ours are two different lengths 80” and 74” so we use Twin XL and twin respectively. We also bought twin foam mattresses and cut them to size - we sleep so much better now.
Thank You for the tour! I prefer a Winnebago Revel 4x4. V-6 diesel style!.
Good choice!
Having owned both a Winnebago Travato K and a Thor Tellaro L, I give the Travato 9*, the Tellaro 3*. Good luck in your search.
Thanks for this! We appreciate your opinion :)
Awesome choice, This one was also my favorite, love the single beds and bathroom in the back, An outdoor shower off the back where you can open the doors and a curtain goes around, would make it perfect! ❤❤❤❤
Right! We agree! ❤
Love what you have instead of coveting what you don’t. If you have a decent rig use it and love it.
Thumbs up to you two… wonderful video! Very helpful. You two area great! Thanks
Thanks so much!
Sounds perfect for what you’re needing 😃
I would buy the travato k. My first choice. You can get them in the $90k range, though.
👏👏👏
We have a 2019 Travato 59k. We haven’t had any problems and haven’t looked back.
Awesome!
Check out the Coachmen Nova 20RB! Similar to the Travato 59K but with some cool differences!
We totally will! Thanks!
That's why we haven't done it yet...time. We need more time 😂
Love the twin bed Rear bath! 127k isn't to bad
great Video !!
Thanks Doug!
That's a good point!
The 59g has a much larger fridge. And I like the fold down bed.
Love your chemistry. I'm liking the 59K too
Thanks!! It’s a great one!
Get a Pleasure Way Ascent, or a Plateau if you want more space. You won't regret it.
You guys are awesome. I really enjoy your channel because I can relate & your personalities are wonderful. Thanks
You really don't go into the power source you would want. for boondocking, lithium is the way to go. My 2020 Winnebago Boldt is similar to the Travato you looked at. I wouldn't stray away from Lithium. Truly love my Van.
We would love both options.
Starter van? I remember when a starter house was like $25,000 and a great Van would have been like $12,000... ninety-five percent of the population couldn't afford to buy any of these vans. If you look at other vanlifers on RUclips, most all are traveling around in vans that are 15-20 years old.
That’s true. Had we had the time we would have just built one out and an older van.
Yup, I paid $1300 total for my van. These days that a monthly payment.
And I only bought mine 5 yrs ago.
It was a smoking good deal though I bought it at an auction. 😊
@@MX-CO That's so amazing!!! Very happy for you!
70’s pricing is irrelevant. That’s like your Granddad saying sodas were only 15 cent when he was a kid but he fails to mention that he only made $1 per hr working his summer job at the gas station.
@@ChopperChad Sodas were a nickel.
Look at go small live large he’s an expert in travers and get the lithium batteries if you can afford it great show thank you
They are great!
If you haven’t checked out Pleasureway Ontour 2.0 or 2.2, you should. They make good quality RVs that you’d like. Thank you for your RUclips videos, they are fun to watch.
If you like the rear bath layout, you should look at some European vehicles, just for comparison.
Search Chausson 640.
I think it might surprise you.
We will look at one! Thanks for the suggestion!
Oh wow. This is good to know! Thanks!
Great video, love that your channel has grown so fast. You only live once go for it.
Thank you so much! ❤️
Great video! Thank You
