Hiring quotas, political appointments, jobs for buddies etc do not work. You would not let an unqualified person fly a plane, be in charge of a skyscraper being constructed, perform surgery on a patient etc, etc. Yet people are being appointed to positions of extreme power that can/will influence tens/hundreds of thousands - tens of millions of lives because they meet some immutable characteristic based upon skin color, sexuality, gender or whatever.
You need people in power that know what they are doing. In this instance, putting activists into the criminal justice system is only going to end not only with justice not being served but skyrocketing crime levels due to their prejudicial tunnel vision against the legal system, police force, prison or whatever.

This is what happens when the legal system is only about procedures instead of about justice. Plea deals should be few & far between. DA Pamela Price apparently has been bought & paid for to be willing to drop the sentence against him for his alleged crimes from 75 years to 15.
No, plea deals should NOT be few and far between, because technicalities exist, so a plea deal is often the only way a victim sees justice. But that's the key: they need to be just. This plea was so clearly unjust that it shocked the conscience of the court and the judge felt he could not accept it.
She appears to be what some call a Sorros DA. They are supported by groups that want to reform the system not by changing laws but by just not doing what the law says .

I believe that the affidavit to dismiss the judge from the case has to be approved by the Chair of the Judicial Council. She thinks another judge is going to disqualify this judge? For her?
