I live in Qatar and am heading to Sri Lanka in 2 weeks - I am staying in Dudley Resort too for 4 days. Booked to stay in the treehouse. Been to SL many times over the years - its only a 5 hour flight from here.

there are no power cuts now in Sri lanka
but you will need a QR code for fuel but if you have a travel agent in SL they will do the needful

No more power cuts. And the fuel allowance has been increased to 40litres per week, which is more than an average person needs. Also the fuel prices have come down quite a bit.

I think you shouldn't have given them the QR code to keep. Even a copy. Better to consult with your agent in the tourism ministry whom given you the paper work for fuel. I assume that QR code can be misused to fuel other vehicles and then that petrol shed can get away with it when it comes to inspection.

It's the fault of "Sri Lanka Tourism board". They should take necessary measures and make it easier for the tourists without any hassle!
