This was awesome! I think chordal playing is a bit underrated by the beginners. I mean, once you get past the "cowboy chords" there are pretty interesting things to discover. I recently picked up my guitar (which I ignored since I was 22 - eons ago) and I find chords and rhythm playing most fascinating.

Great video, one of my favorite descending linear progressions is Cream's White Room. Eric Clapton said he wrote it after hearing the song "Summer in the City". Interesting stuff!
My teacher was adamant about teaching chords with various root locations just like you demonstrated. Also all the corresponding arpeggios with various roots. Triads are also great bridges to navigate the fretboard.🍺’ski another great lesson. 🤘
I would definitely like more and more... please teach some nice rhythm ideas to go with the chord progressions... and definitely want to learn incorporating scales, arpeggios and riffs...on top of it.🎸🎸👏👏👌
Thanks! That's my pick collection and I bought the frame at Target (or Wal-Mart) - I can't honestly remember, but it was only $9-10 and it made more sense to me to frame them together than keeping them in a jar. Plus it looks pretty good on the wall! : )
I think you have found another thing to feature in Cord play would like to get into modal cord progressions I have a good idea how they work with the cords based on the notes in a particular modes scale now as far as Cord Play how about some Magna Carta Cartel don't know if you are familiar with them but check it out as always thanks much David 🤘

If you want an escape look at old pop songs from the 20s and 30s. The turnarounds were different. Hey as long as you can sing it it’s good

I still think the quality of the music in the 60-70s in a lot of cases better than music is now..It was alot more pure..
