This is my second CTR and my second AWE Touring exhaust. Fit and finish are excellent (installed in my driveway), tips are sick (black) and the sound is 100% on point with no drone. Heard some other systems at Tail of the Dragon and AWE takes the trophy imo.
I just got the touring version installed on my FL5 too. Absolutely love it. Gonna add a RV6 DP soon too and the PRL intake whenever that drops. Super excited to hear what it sounds like when its all said and done.
Nice video just what I was looking for. On the fence between both AWE/Miltek/Remark. How do you feel about the modular design vs a 1pc straight welded system? I feel like things will get loose after a while and cause unwanted noise.
Got a fk8 with awe track and catless downpipe. It’s loud but awe track with stock exhaust was not bad and it’s cheaper then touring. But wit my catless downpipe it really opened it up

This is my concern to. They are more expensive and honestly it doesnt contrast the diffuser. They should make a burnt tip as an option to just like milltek does
If you go to your individual mode you can set to different gauges and then on your scroll on the steering wheel you can also choose how much information is shown on gauges
I will try that for sure on my Integra Type S see if it works I do like those gauges and I haven’t yet seen no one use them . I was thinking it was something custom that you were able to upload or something thanks again
AWE is the only way to go! The whole valve idea was always a mystery to me. I get it, some buyers want it quieter, but there should have always been an option (outside of the fuse trick) to keep the valve open at all times.
Im pretty sure thats all a weird mix of decisions based on the fact that its globally sold in the same configuration and some countries have strict laws but they also obviously tried to give it some sportiness and born was something that makes nobody happy. I dont want to play with the fuses even though my feeling tells me it should create no issues. Will probably go with the awe.
If I remember correctly, it comes with a plug and then there’s a perfect spot on the frame that the wire is already coming from. In which you will use to secure the remaining wire with a ziptie.
hard to tell noise when the recording is all over the place staring around @7:00 it’s alternately muffled & bright depending on how ure moving gopro- vacuum it to windshield for a/b

I’ve heard people express the same concern but with the quality of AWE I don’t think I run into any issues. Only time will tell 😉

Did you noticed any throttle response improvements on the awe?
You feel it in the pedal in a good way but I was only stock for like 2 weeks haha so I don’t really remember the stock throttle feel.
Now that you have the black tips installed do they do anything for the car? From the videos they seem to get lost in the diffuser
In pictures yes I’d say it gets lost that’s why I didn’t get black wheels haha. But in person man they look so good.

No tune and no you don’t have to pull the fuse for either exhaust

I Agree, I think it would’ve been a lot better if it wasn’t an active valve and was just changed solely on mode and not throttle input

Would you get a code once you have the valve cord disconnected when you install the awe exhaust?
Nope! No codes and you can also pull the fuse if you don’t believe me haha.

AWE should change name to AME, Absolutely Mid Exhaust which better represents the sound of the product.
Eh I enjoyed mine and the quality was good on my system. It’s hard to make type r sound good tbh lol hence why I sold it

Idk awe welds look like they are done by a middle schooler, tips are nice but the rest of the exhaust is honesty just unacceptable
I’ve heard a lot of people say that idk if they stepped up their quality but on my exhaust it was decent. Now Milltek lol… those were awful.
