Yes it may be a 100 miles however the smaller fish reside in the tributaries with a very high likely hood that there will be a long term chronic exposure from the "tailings". There is a greater narrative here of what is of value. Like any deposit it will exhaust itself and like many post mining sites the resource is rendered valueless for years perhaps decades. This archaic approach is from a time when the population had considerably fewer people less dense and lesser rate of consumption. To my of thinking to consider such a thing as mining this region is so stupid, it defies logic.

Electric vehicles or much better for the environment than traditional gas. But they use 7 times more copper to make them. Where are we supposed to get the copper from?

Over 150 million has been spent on environmental studies at the Pebble Mine in Alaska which is 100 miles away from Bristol Bay. WAY more studies will happen during permitting and if it's so bad they won't get a permit. Free the Pebble Mine, the precious metals are MEANT to be mined. #PebbleMine #NAK #NorthernDynastyMinerals #Hag2:8

The problem with dipshits like you is how short sighted you seem to be. You never seem to care about the generations of people that will come after you, inheriting a ruined planet. Im sure youre on board with fracking as well, another great way to pollute our aquifers.

It's funny how they make all this sound like it's right next to bristol Bay it's like 90 km away. And all the waste tailings would just be sand. Oh no hope an earthquake doesn't happen. lol. This is like the poorest county in all of the US. This mine will bring tens of thousands of jobs averaging over $100,000 a year.

@@ix_stompdown_-xi8199 Agreed, but this is the economy we’ve created. Not just created, mankind built it from the ground up. Since governments and politicians around the world won’t sit down and seriously discuss transitioning to alternative economic builds, we won’t be able to have others mine our resources forever. I’ve yet to see politicians suggest alternative ways to distribute resources and energy that’ll work. Once America runs out of options for mineral and natural resources, they’ll turn to Alaska. It’s not a question of ethics, it’s a question of when.
Have you read the research papers for bristol bay? I used to be completely against pebble mine because I believed them saying it’ll kill our salmon and other natural resources. This was before I did any research

if you just look at NAK then you start wondering.... but look around the things that are affecting it. The price will go through the roof. Its something you will want to start putting in lots of money into it. What you don't see just from reading this stock is that: 1 they are actually building and developing the docks and doing permitting in the local AK government. If you are building roads, without a mine yet, you know something will be built there next. 2. Its so guaranteed, especially now. Yes it will be a several months to a year... but now at 93 cents per share it is so worth dropping even 1 thousand or so on it. It is going to shoot up to at least 30 dollars per share once the mining begins in a year or so. 3... its on the other side of a mountainous area that naturally protects the lakes and streams. The actual area is very barren and rocky and no rivers or lakes in this area. The nearest lake is 100 miles or more away called lake Illiamna. this lake feeds into Bristol bay... but it will be unaffected according to researchers. This stock is undervalued cause of democrat haters who want to destroy the Alaskan economy. These same people who are the haters and democrats are in California and Washington making money off of say no to pebble mine stickers. This kind of gross hatred by democrats and liberals steals from citizens in Alaska the ability to build schools because of the businesses and money that NAK will bring in. Currently milk in illiamna cost 11 dollars for a half gallon. With the mine it will bring prices down to at least 4 dollars and help the town grow. Help Alaska grow! Support NAK. So many people would benefit from this also.

If the mining industry is so sure about their impact being negligible let them put up a bond of tens of billions of dollars. Is there one watershed post industrial "anything" that has returned to its prior native state. I know of none. It is that primal state where natural resource health exist.

The video is one-sided for a reason - because it is all true. I was up near the mine site last summer. There is water everywhere in that region - above and underground, The waste will spread all over the area. At least Anglo American saw the light and quit. Northern Dynasty, it's your turn.

This is such a lie.... The actual area, looks like a rock field and there is a mountainous region dividing and protecting the Illimani lake and the water ways and major rivers. If this is all 100 miles south of where the mine would be, then logically it wouldn't even be affected by the mine. if you just look at NAK then you start wondering.... but look around the things that are affecting it. The price will go through the roof. Its something you will want to start putting in lots of money into it. What you don't see just from reading this stock is that: 1 they are actually building and developing the docks and doing permitting in the local AK government. The Exxon Valdez spill was a mistake yet it is 2019 and we still find oil polluting our shores . Mistakes can happen and some mistakes have huge consequences . If there was another tragedy like Exxon based on the pebble mine can you replace all of those natural resources and livelihood that you have destroyed ( probably not ) . Just food for thought

Let's face it. The world needs the copper for electric cars. We have to stop relying on fossil fuels and start thinking about the environment. Northern Dynasty has outlined their mining methods specifically for Pebble. 15% of the gold, that is the portion requiring extraction using cyanide, will remain unmined. Please read up on this.
