    Description
Note: The S5 has a slightly wider radiator which has created a bit of a clearance issue with the plate that is installed on the inner edge of the chassis between the radiator. Seems to be a bit of variance on the vehicles too. When fitting you can modify the plate to create a slimmer profile if required. Most have been fitted without any modification - there has been a few reports though.
Decent recovery points are a must, far to often people are using the factory TIE DOWN points as recovery points, using the factory tie down points it a huge risk and can potentially cause harm, even death when it breaks, sending the strap or winch cable flying.

Roadsafe 4WD have put together some Tow Point kits including points,
shackles and equalising bridle to encourage the use of Tow Points in pairs.
Roadsafe 4WD strongly recommend fitting Tow Points as a matched pair, bolted to the Chassis,
and used in conjunction with each other in all straight line pull recovery situations with use of an
Equalising Bridle. Warranty will not be considered if Tow Points are not used as recommended.
Most Roadsafe 4WD Tow Points have been designed for use with a 4.7t Bow Shackle.
When bolted to the chassis, the use of Roadsafe 4WD Tow Points, used in conjunction with an
Equalising Bridle attached with 4.7t Bow Shackles, creates a safer vehicle attachment system for
    recovery situations.
THIS VIDEO IS JUST A GUIDE, PLEASE DO YOUR OWN CHECKS AND RESEARCH BEFORE FITTING.
RECOVERY OF STUCK VEHICLES CAN BE DANGEROUS. ALWAYS INSPECT THE TOW POINTS AND SHACKLES BEFORE EACH USE. DO NOT USE IF THERE ARE VISIBLE SIGNS OF DAMAGE OR WEAR (INCLUDING CRACKING OR ELONGATION). DO NOT EXCEED THE WORKING LOAD LIMIT OF THE SHACKLE OR TOW POINTS. ALWAYS STAY A SAFE DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE RECOVERY AREA - AT LEAST 1.5 TIMES THE LENGTH OF THE RECOVERY STRAP. INCORRECT USE OF RECOVERY EQUIPMENT CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. ALWAYS ENSURE THAT ADEQUATE PREPARATION FOR THE RECOVERY, TO MINIMISE THE STRAIN ON EITHER VEHICLE, HAS BEEN UNDERTAKEN I.E., DIGGING ETC

Note for others doing this do not use the big spacer washer for the bolt that goes through tye factory tow point. There is a black washer for that, the silver big one is too big and doesnt fit properly. Otherwise great video.

Another informative video that is a great help. Recently got my Y62 and first upgrade is the Roadsafe Recovery Points that were just delivered. The accompanying instructions are poor so your video is just what I need. The instal is now scheduled for this weekend. Thanks for a great video.

@@AussieVanAdventures recovery point install completed. Got to say it took a bit longer than an hour due to tight space between radiator and rails on the series 5 (and being an accountant by trade :-) All done now though.

@@AussieVanAdventures mate just finished installing mine. The box had zero instructions and the little warning pamphlet had a QR code to download the instructions, but the web page wasn't working. Went off your video alone and it was a life saver!
The series 5 is a little tighter on one side to get that back plate in but managed! Just wish I had torque specs. Just went off general feel.
Thanks for the video man! Keep up the good content! 👍

I’m so glad it was a help! Thanks so much for for letting me know. (Kinda makes it worth all the effort with feedback like yours!) Really appreciate it!

100% yes thank you! I think because I was out of my normal ‘car working zone’ (aka in the caravan park) for this one.. it was overlooked, but really appreciate you pointing that out! Thanks for watching too! Really appreciate it.
