I remember first discovering weird Al back in like 1993 when i was about 9 years old, i thought it was the greatest music of all time. And here i am now, 37 years old and i STILL listen to Weird Al....LMAO. And you know, i never realized how much i actually MISS the whole VHS tracking static at the bottom of the screen..lol.
Man, I have the same experience at the same point in life. One of my sisters had just gotten The Food Album that summer when it came out and I fell in love. I bought a few cassettes myself and then got Off The Deep End for my 9th birthday that September, and Alapalooza the next month when it came out. 37 and it still doesn't get old.
Thank you for commenting. I have a ton of old VHS tapes that I still have yet to sort through and upload. I'm going to try to upload more "content" to this channel soon. It's a thankless job but my joy comes from reading comments like yours.
Oh, for the Love Of His Weirdness, his movie is a Parody. I don't know if you're just trolling, but He Is Alive. How could Nena Yankovic even be alive today if had died back then?
@epicmaddie When I was 13 I skipped a day of school so that I could record this. I got this clip where I get all of my clips, my old VHS collection. :)
USAHEARTBEAT was it off antenna originally? I remember cable systems usually didn't have very crisp video quality until they went digital, and good antennas with a strong signal usually gave the best picture. Even the big C-band satellite dishes weren't all that great.
Thanks for posting. He's so cute here. Believe it or not, I still have some of my old VHS tapes and a working VCR player. How I remember those days. :)
Thank you for your kind comment! And for taking time out to watch it! The old VHS tapes that I had been keeping in the basement held up. It was time for a digital transfer. Glad you enjoyed it. Makes the work involved worth it hearing comments like yours. :) xoxoxo
Witherwings7 why is that astounding? There are lots of TV performances from the late '60's in color and even clearer than this (and without the tracking errors at the bottom of the screen). Mid-'80's isn't THAT long ago.
Thanks for taking time out to comment! It can be a bit time consuming transfering these and uploading but it makes it all worth while when I get comments like yous! :) ❤
Have al and Howard stern ever been in the same room? He's like Howard's much much much better looking brother. And wonderful weird Al is not remotely attractive.
He copied me on this one cause I did a Madonna parody in 1985, and Scottie Bros. wanted to give me a 50,000 contract to finish a parody album. I told them my Madonna parody was fine with a single and would sell, and that it was timely. An album would have taken awhile. So, they warned Al that there was competition. That he better jump on the Madonna bandwagon. So, he did “Like a Surgeon”. My neighbor was friends with Al. She was going to introduce me. That would have been hilarious! But I think I was pissed at the time cause he secretly released his song with Scottie Bros. at the time I was negotiating with Scottie Bros. It was too bad there wasn’t other small record companies who did parodies at the time. Scottie would have had competition. I didn’t want to be a female Al Yankovich, otherwise I would have done the album. I just wanted to be a one hit wonder with the Madonna parody in a way. I would have done more afterwards, but I wanted that single out fast. Scottie Bros. pulled a fast one. They were stupid cause I can do parodies fast. My Dad used to write for Don Rickles, so I grew up thinking demented, ha!!!!! Surrounded by it. 🤣🤣 One day I’ll meet Al and smack him a few times! I meet everyone eventually. 🤣🤣 I should contact Al and collaborate on a current parody. He hasn’t come up with anything funny in awhile. What r u up to Al?? U need a shot in the arm?? I’ll give it to ya!! 🤣🤣 The world needs us now!!

He has the potential to be arguably the best accordion player of all time in a very specific genre of music
I think this might be the last interview he had before he died.
weird al is still alive
@@claireandpapa9798 he blew his brains out in the 80s. Sorry that you had to find out this way

@@claireandpapa9798We know. The 1985 death of Weird Al came from a fake biopic movie starring Daniel Radcliffe.
@@rebeccaj.2606 Obviously. He came back as a zombie.
Interviewer is David Hartman, the original host of Good Morning America.
He was pretty nice! A lot of interviewers are kinda disrespectful of musicians, but Hartman was a pleasure to listen to.
Wow, I hadn't seen this interview before. Adorable!
i love him 😍❤💘

worth it - thanks for skipping school!

My same thought
"Kinda" is an understatement :)

not even a minute into the interview and you can already hear laughing
This is great! What a gem...the clarity is astounding. Thank you for uploading this! :)

You are very welcome. I'm really glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for more vintage VHS uploads.
The show he's talking about at 3:52 is up on RUclips, if you're curious.
His last interview 😢

You bet, thanks for watching! :)
First viewer EVER! Oh and where did you get this clip?
Serbian genes. We are especially good in parodies and literal translate of songs.
What is the name of the interviewer?
(Thanks for sharing, by the way.)

Ha ha. A lot of women would disagree with you.
Btw, Stern did do an interview with Al. You can find it on RUclips.
I think he’s very attractive. ❤

I think it’s funny how much his voice has changed. Even his voice has gotten weirder.
