I don't think his International career is over. But if this isn't a wake up call for him to give 110% every time he steps on the pitch and show some fight, then I don't know what is. It will also highlight that all the criticism aimed at him (being lazy etc) is justified. The same goes with Sancho too.

Did you not watch Rashford this season? He was abysmal and his basic lack of effort was embarrassing. He’s 26 going on 27 early next season. He’s not some teenage phenom or young early 20’s something anymore. It is a very valid discussion if he does not wake up ASAP.
...he's going down the same route as Dele Alli. Nothing to do with age... in the WC, Dele scored v Sweden and played a crucial role v Croatia... he was then left out of subsequent squads for the Euro 2020 qualifiers and never recalled. He was 23 at the time.

How does Southgate say he's leaving Henderson off because of injury but keeps Luke Shaw? Still doesn't try to integrate Ben White and bring back Sancho?!?! What an odd way of managing a group of players. They are still stacked but there has to be a coach who could do more with this squad.

Rashford failed to win Euro21 by fluffing cup final pen. Some boys peak early & fade away (Rashford, Jeffers, Walcott, etc) others peak later (eg Palmer & Gordon & Saka who are all much stronger mentally than Marcus & will score AET pen shootouts).

People need to give Rashdford a break. Clearly he hasn't been happy this season and possibly due to personal and emotional issues.
When he was on fire last season, people were singing his praises. Now that he's under performing, why shouldn't they criticize him? You don't get 8 months off to deal with "personal and emotional issues" when you're earning 375,000 per week.
