    It's definitely not a stepper motor. It's a permant magnet core ac induction motor.

    I'm just going to disagree with you about the pump's direction of rotation. Note that there is no starting coil to define a single direction of rotation! This pump can rotate in random directions - clockwise or counterclockwise! See: the highest pressure will always be at the pump's water inlet (machine tank full). The water outlet is free! The water will never return to the machine's tank. The impulse "fins" are flat. Independent of the direction of rotation! Brazil/SP . Thanks
