Your measurement criteria are really well thought out. I’m impressed. And yes, hand lotion can absolutely ruin the ability to lay down ink on paper. I always use a piece of cardboard or some such item to keep my hand off the paper while I’m writing, and no longer have that problem.
Thank you! Yeah, I should have done a more intentional job of keeping the lotion off the page. Somehow I got more focused on making the lines (that are a little smudgy anyway 😂) and was not thinking about the eventual laying down of ink. Glad you like the criteria! Always interested in additional perspective, too, so any other feedback you’ve got, I’d love to hear it!
I have used my Iroshizuku murasaki-shikibu so much that I bought a second bottle as a backup… Pilot is prone to discontinuing beloved inks and I wanted to make sure I had enough of it. 😁 Thanks for sharing !
I know this ink definitely qualifies as beloved in the community! Since so many people love it I just figured I would, too. Then I didn’t love it … and now I kinda do … 😻It’s interesting to me how our perception of a pen or ink changes over time. Thanks for sharing your experience!
