    I finished installing these on my 2007 Mustang GT/CS yesterday. The install was easy but Pedders should've included the top mounts for the rear shocks shown at 10:05. There are some people such as myself that have aftermarket shocks/struts before switching over to coilovers like these. I had Tokico D-Specs and their rear shocks have larger upper mounting nuts which doesn't fit Pedders' rear shocks. Luckily, I found some nuts lying around in the garage that fit perfectly otherwise I would've had to postpone the completion of the install. Shame on Pedders for not mentioning this. By the way, out of the box, these coilovers will give you a heavily raked look. I planned accordingly from watching this video and reading Robert's comment at the bottom. I dialed the front up 1/2" and the rears down 1/2" before installing them.

    Superb video gentleman. Think I'm going to be picking these up for my 06 next spring!

      Glad I kept my word, just picked them up think I'm going to wait until NEXT spring again though before installation since it's already fall now.

    You didn't talk about what the drop was at Pedders recommended setting. Also you didn't mention the 'range of lower' you get with this kit. Also you didn't mention the pan hard bar and needing an adjustable one if dropping more than an inch. It seems their recommended setting lowered the front a great deal at their setting but kept the back too high. Then you lowered the rear to it's lowest and it seemed to level the car. Doesn't make sense since the front can be lowered even more but the back can't.

      yeah man i'm completely with you on this. I'm currently frustrated as hell trying to figure all this shit out. Did you end up buying these coilovers? if so, what do you think about em?

      Might be hitting bump stops in back. I wanna know how low I can go. It can tuck in the rear it seems.

      @@goffdroid From the factory setting on the rear after installation , The Jounce stop is about an inch from the frame.
      I’m getting clunking sounds. Going back over all of it to make sure everything is tight, and the metal on metal is lithium greased (since I didn’t do that the first time.)

    So if I lower it all the way and make it firm I still don't need the caster camber plates?
    Does it have its own strut mount?
    And does it come with warranty?
    Thank you

    Didn’t mention how to adjust the rear shock. Not the coil seat but the shock itself.

      DJ RICKY G I found a good video put out by LMR that shows the guy loosening the locking collar on the rear shock, grabbing the shock with both hands and spinning the threaded body clockwise. Just search for LMR Coilovers The video isn’t for Pedders brand but same basic idea.

    So to lower the rear, all I do is compress the spring? I dont have to touch the shocker do I?

      I THINK YOU HAVE TO ALSO ADJUST HEIGHT OF SHOCK WOULD BE NICE IF INSTRUCTIONS WERE MORE CLEAR ON HOW MUCH!

    • @renuco612
      @renuco612 4 года назад +1

      You will need to unbolt shock and take tension off the spring. Adjust the spring to the desired ride height, then jack up the spring to put pre-load on it. Then you will have to adjust the shock to line up with the bolt holes on the bottom of the shock. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

    What's the point of the locking collar on the rear strut? Mine came loose as I didn't know I had to tighten it and made a loud thud over every bump

    Its not a real Shelby! why would you put the Shelby badges on a mustang GT Love the kit, hate "Poser cars"

    • @robertswift6101
      @robertswift6101 2 года назад +5

      huge difference in price between badges and a real shelby is the reason i went that route and all the extra money i saved was used in upgrades and still have money leftover
