    Tried the recipe out and it was delicious!! Not too sweet 😍They were so soft and didn't dry out the next day 😍 Thank you! This will officially be my go to recipe for scones @ home ❤️🙏🏾
    Side note :
    *Substituted the bicarbonate of soda with salt (half of the bicarbonate measurement) & it worked just fine.
    *halved the ingredients and it yielded 13 medium sized, thick scones.

    I just made these scones and for the first time since I started trying to make them using other recipes that it was a success. The scones came out so soft, fluffy and delicious. The only thing i'll change the next time I make them is to reduce the sugar as I don't really have a very sweet tooth. Otherwise the scones are super delicious and thank you so much for sharing the recipe and demonstration.

    ... I like soft moist scones. I've been practicing and hope to make perfect scones next time. My last attempt my scones were a bit dry, not as moist as I wanted ; 🙄 though my family thought they were amazing !

    • @LeendosKitchen
      @LeendosKitchen  3 года назад

      Between those options, Rama would be a better option for me as I grew up using it with my mom. I once tried Wooden Spoon and it definitely was not good FOR ME, others prefer it but I don’t. Currently my favourite margarine for baking is the “Clover Mama Bake”, it’s very good for me.

      For 15 cups make it about 3 and a half or 4 cups maas.

      There's no need for me to pour milk?

    • @LeendosKitchen
      @LeendosKitchen  2 года назад +1

      @@samukelisiweziyane4625 No not at all. We use Maas instead of milk because milk sometimes tends to make scones hard. Only if maybe you don't have Maas and you really need to make scones then you can use milk. And always try to buy the "Douglasdale" brand for Maas, they are so rich and really make the scones delicious.

    hi leendo, I was baking but then electricity went off, can I continue wen electricity is back?the ingredients won't get spoiled or something. will they still come out perfect ?😭😭#loadshedding

    • @LeendosKitchen
      @LeendosKitchen  4 года назад +1

      Hey Mo, yuuuuhh loadshedding though😩... Well no, the dough will be a bit offish hey, like the scones won't be as fresh as they could have been with fresh dough, but if you're concerned about it going to waste then you may try it and it can be a LITTLE better if you tightly (like super tight) close the container so that no air goes into it then resume baking once electricity is back.

    • @Mrs887
      @Mrs887 4 года назад +1

      Try use double action baking powder so if you freeze your dough it will not be spoilt.
