Fun fact: the music, graphics, sounds, and performances for Sonic 3D Blast for Sega Saturn are DIFFERENT from those in Sonic 3D Blast for Sega Genesis.
There is an updated version of Sonic 3D Blast/Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island for Steam PC, which is known as a director's cut version with better gameplay balance, a password save system and so much more.
@@joeykirkpatrick224 The director's cut version of Sonic 3D Blast is the Genesis/Mega Drive version, but the Saturn version needs the director's cut treatment as well.
@@TheRealDustinNunn to be honest the Saturn version changed literally almost about nothing the only difference is the special stage that’s all could be all just be the special stage graphics and another difference is the music but overall it’s just the same gameplay
@@idaholana That's the thing, as a kid I was interested in getting a Saturn for its version of Sonic 3D Blast. But after reading the magazine reviews, it turns out the core gameplay is the same, and the Genesis/MD version of the level themes are actually... more memorable? So I just went with the Genesis version and never got a Saturn. Then Nights couldn't compete with Mario 64 to me.
I actually have this on saturn but, dont have a cap card or anything plus the disc is kinda scratched so sometimes the music skips. so ive been trying to get it to work with emulation, and the game works but, I get the classic 'music doesnt play' issue that happens with a lot of Saturn roms. Even in the version I downloaded that's just a pure .iso with no mp3 files, like its 1 solid rom, it still wont play the music, which is frustrating and confusing.
I was trying to play this hidden gem of a game but I can't seem to find a solution for the same music issue you mentioned. Isn't there a way to fix it? I've been looking everywhere😅
@@greendragonfly4726 Theres really only 1 way to do it. Download a rom that includes the MP3 music files. Make a playlist, and manually play the music for each level. It sounds annoying but I did it with no problem. I just switched to the next song each time I finished a stage, and then clicked on the boss music for the boss lol. Better than nothing.
@@Moneytakerbaby Thanks for the advice! By the way I found this youtube channel that ran the game on an emulator with fully hearable music. I commented on the video to ask how it was possible, in case you wanted to know the answer too I'll leave you the following link: ruclips.net/video/QXfVXQaUT7Y/видео.html
If only more people played Sonic (and other platformers) like this... collecting all the rings.
That's what I call a longplay!
i try to do that sometimes but because i'm not skilled enough i keep getting damaged lol
That music for Gene Gadget Zone Act 1 is SUPER catchy in Sonic 3D Blast for Sega Saturn.
Thanks for uploading this longaplay of Sonic 3D Blast Saturn!
I can't be the only one disturbed by the complete lack of any sound on any of the menus
I am to lol
not really

But I think that it's the Genesis Version

Thanks for this,I like both versions of Sonic 3D Blast.
You weren't missing any rings, made my OCD proud! :)
Um ok 👌🏻
Curious question, @gold33728: What does that OCD stand for in that comment?
Now I know what OCD stands for. It stands for obsessive compulsive disorder.
真的是神人操作!完美無瑕的100%過關!
very well done!
เวอร์ชั่นของเครื่อง Sega ก็มันส์อีกแบบ
If only all songs looped better instead of just replaying
100% agreed on that one!
Do you have to take damage to save time? If yes, then why?
