If Parra had played like their second try, they could of been a chance. Barely saw Dylan Brown and Penrith shut down their offloads in the tackle in the first half. Masterclass from Panthers overall.

No team in the comp could have beaten Penrith last night, they were a Rugby League wrecking machine. Good on the Eels for standing up to it as well as they did and HAVING A GO right to the end.

They are not a match for the now maturing Panthers soul power on top of being their own worst enemy. The difference in the `culture` of both clubs is becoming more and more apparent.
Lacklustre grand final as a neutral but boy you have to give it to the Panthers. Champion season from a champion club with this being the perfect end for them. Congratulations Penrith and celebrate it hard but I’m sure there is more to come as this decade is definitely the Panthers era.

Yeah they really needed to keep the eels to zero to represent how dominant they were. Credit to the eels for the last 5 minutes to put 2 quick converted tries on to put a bit of dignity on the scoreboard

This GF was one-sided as if the losing team were not even there. Not great for the neutral spectator for the big occassion.
people were saying halfway through the year that they should just have the GF be held then between Panthers and Storm. If Storm didn't get all those injuries, i think it would have happened. once storm went down, there really wasnt any other team near panther's level.

There's no excuse. The Eels were outgunned by the better team. Cleary omg what a halfback! Already a legend. To be honest the Eels didn't deserve it. They were so inconsistent all season. The Panthers did.

This is a result of a well rested injury free team putting on a great performance to win.for Parramatta,they had to go the hard way to get to the grand final and in the end fatigue creeps in and you run out of steam.penrith were very well prepared and aimed to make it back to back.well done panthers,a very entertaining end for the 2022 season.for Kikau and Koroisau,all the best with your new clubs next season and thank you very very much for your great comradeship at Penrith,the team will surely miss your presence on the field next season.cheers panthers,a great team.

Panthers didn't take their foot of the Eels' necks. They are in a class of their own. The power, the speed, the breaking free of tackles, the aggressive and creative attack, the dominant defence. It was clinical. It's hard to find a flaw in the Panthers. They outclassed the Eels in every way. Outstanding win.

Congratulations Penrith, the better team won. From a long suffering Eels supporter, who is old enough to remember the last time the Eels won, and who had the misfortune of being there at this one to witness the bloodbath. I'll remember it like 2001.
Karma for cheating to get into the GF. The poor display from the Eels against the Cowboys was enough to convince me that Penrith were going to spank the Eels.

As a neutral, one of the worst GF’s I have ever watched, far too one-sided, Penrith way too dominant & in control from the get go, game was pretty much over by the 20 minute mark.
Parra did come strong in the end with two fancy tries, but in saying that by that point Penrith backed off & were already in party mode with 20 minutes to go, highlight of the game for me was the Dylan Edwards “Scott Sattler” 2.0
After viewing the Eels press conference you can see how shattered & heartbroken Gutherson was, don’t be surprised if they are back here again this time next year, there is fire in those sad eyes, this broken feeling gives players the motivation they need to get back here & win it.

Congratulations to the Panthers. Stats don't lie. The Eels defence was going to be a major problem. Panthers have the best defence, so the Eels have to play out of their skin to have a chance. On paper, the Eels have a more dominant forward pack but it didn't play out that way. Paulo n RCG were flat. Eels'Matterson n the bench players played better. The Eels line defence after the kicks at 15-20min marks looks terrible. Gutho in the defence line, on the short side, while Cleary getting the ball on the open side to kick for try with no fullback. Not the 1st time this happened, just another poor defence structure tactic by the Eels.

Disappointing loss for Parra. Was really hoping for a massive upset but Panthers had too much class. Well deserved Penrith.
Parra had the following problems: Defensively outclassed, Did not spread the ball around enough, Moses and brown did nothing! every time Moses or brown got the ball, didn't even take on the line just passed it off to their forwards, read mani at least tried to attack panthers line of defense. Gutherson couldn't do anything really because he had no attack from the halves. all we saw was Parra try to open up the defense in the middle which gave panthers time to set their defensive line incase eels decided to spread the ball wide. Defensively all Parra had to do was out muscle clearly and lui all night and Parra had a chance. Panthers knew they had Parra within the first 5 minutes of the match, hats off to them.
