When Drown came along in my Spotify playlist, I was captivated by it. I had to practice and cover it. It is such a beautiful song that builds up quietly. The drums are subtle but very challenging if you listen to them carefully. Both in the quiet parts, with its accents and ghost notes, and in the louder parts, with its phat fills. Super fun to play! Hope you enjoy it too! 🤘
Hi @DerekZoo, thanks! I don't recall exactly which preset, didn't save that info (oops!). But I see that I started in the Main Room. I used Yamaha toms, Paiste 602 cymbals, C&C Kick and the Brady Jarrah snare. Then I've exported the final midi track to a wav and added a little extra EQ and compression on that wav track (in GarageBand, indicated with Hi-Fi Drums and Drum Mix). To me those last tweaks make a subtle difference, it blends in the mix a bit better. Hope that helps :-)
I Just got a Roland VAD507 with the TD27v2 and wanting to record as well. Your stuff has def helped with the process. Id be curious do know your camera tricks. Are you just creating a click at the beginning to sync everything to?
Hi, thanks a lot! Glad it is useful! Sounds like you have a great setup (too :), I’m curious how you like the VAD. To sync multiple cameras, there is a handy multi-cam feature in Davinci Resolve, the editing program I use. It can sync on sound (that would be the ticking sounds recorded by the cameras). Sometimes it doesn’t work for all cameras and I manually drag one track until it is in sync. So I look at what moment I hit a snare for example and when you hear it. You can drag per frame accuracy (nudging). It’s important to sync all tracks before you start to make cuts in the video track(s). Hope that helps!
@@theundercoverscene7247 Thanks.. yeah I use Final Cut Pro and there is the same thing there for syncing audio. I just wasn't sure if you were doing some sort of visual stick click in the beginning to line everything up
Magnifique

@@theundercoverscene7247 It definitely helps. I love the drum sound you get in your EZdrummer 3 covers. Thanks !
Could you do more slowdive please
It’s not on my list, to be honest. But I hope you enjoy the other songs/bands as well.
@@theundercoverscene7247 Could you do My Bloody Valentine ? and maybe an EZdrummer 3 preset ?
@@pocojoyo I'm not so familiar with that band (oh no, what did I just say?! ;-)

@@ChasingDreamsLivingLife typically that is not necessary, is my experience, but of course you can do that anyway :)
