    Did this video perhaps help you maybe learn a bit more about how "maybe" works in Japanese?

      @@Flamerate1 I hear the word "確かに" daily which the dictionary says means: "definitely; indeed; undoubtedly". It's a term of agreement at least.

    This vid helped clarify a lot, but I always thought 多分 was closer to "Probably" than "Maybe" since it's the highest likelihood that something will come to pass. "Maybe" and "Might" are closer to uncertainty or a true 50/50 chance.

    Love the fact that I wake up in the morning to a new video! I would subscribe to a daily "Japanese in 5" newsletter. Spending 5-10 minutes every morning on a new word keeps me motivated!

      As a second language, I have no sense of easy or difficult, but I've also always felt that learning Japanese has been easy.
      The system of particles are what interest me the most. A lot of Japanese feels so systematic.

    「多分」って言葉は,日本人の僕でもとても助かる言葉ですね!少しでも不安があったら,先頭に「多分」をつけると全否定や全肯定してないので,心配な時によく使います
    (Maybe)This word is really useful!! Because If you this word put to first sentence, become not perfect...sorry my English is soooooo bad.
    Ex)多分違う気がする
    “Maybe” it’s wrong.
    これは、よく使うので覚えて!

  • @asdfasd3000
    @asdfasd3000 4 года назад

    The difference between
    かもしれない and 可能性がある is that, when I use the former, is like if the possibility depends on me, while when I use the ladder the possibility depends on the case.
    Is it correct? Did I understand?

    Everyone learns as a kid that maybe is nearly a no, I think your sweet wife is directing it to the word possibly. Which is like a more positive maybe.

    I wonder if the ~かな ending for "I wonder" is a shorted form of KAmoshireNAi?

    • @RedstoneNinja99
      @RedstoneNinja99 5 лет назад

      Probably not as 「な」 is a sentence ending particle in and of itself, so I've always thought of 「かな」as being a combination of two particles mixing the meanings together similar to 「かよ」or「かね」
