This is the board that I use in my relatively new AM5 system, which is technically still a work in progress until Gen5 M.2 drives enter the market. The system has a 7900x with MX-6 thermal paste applied to it, cooled by a Noctua NH-U12S that I modified with two NF-F12 iPPC 3000 PWM exhaust fans to ramp up the heat ventilation. The anti-vibration mounting pads muffle a lot of the noise, but it can get somewhat noticeable when running hardware benchmarks like Cinebench. As for the GPU, the board is equipped with a 7900xt supported by an anti-sag bracket. Since the case has plenty of room for cable management, the intake fans are able to assist in the GPU’s cooling mechanism by sustaining steady air currents that curve over and under the GPU - transferring the heat directly to the exhaust current. So far, with ASUS’s new BIOS updates, the system is running smoothly.
The one part I wanted to see you didn't show 😢. I just bought this motherboard, and its a power connection I see (#5 on 1-2 of the manual) that I don't seem to have a cable for. Left side is a 4 pin and right is an 8 pin. The only cable that my pwr supply has is the 8pin /PSU. In the board manual, it says to use 8 pin or connect both 8 pin and 4 pin (as if it's optional). Apparently it's not optional because my system didn't boot. It powered on but didn't go to post.
Hello, I've recently built a similar system with the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X with a X670E-PLUS TUF GAMING mobo. But I am now running with an issue in regards to not being able to get into BIOS, like at all. Have you had a similar issue?
Try to enter BIOS after POST / Clear CMOS. To enter BIOS Setup at startup, press or during the Power-On Self Test (POST). If you do not press or , POST continues with its routines. Entering BIOS Setup after POST To enter BIOS Setup after POST: • Press ++ simultaneously. • Press the reset button on the system chassis. • Press the power button to turn the system off then back on. Do this option only if you failed to enter BIOS Setup using the first two options. After doing either of the three options, press key to enter BIOS. • Ensure that a USB mouse is connected to your motherboard if you want to use the mouse to control the BIOS setup program. • If the system becomes unstable after changing any BIOS setting, load the default settings to ensure system compatibility and stability. Select the Load Optimized Defaults item under the Exit menu or press hotkey . • If the system fails to boot after changing any BIOS setting, try to clear the CMOS and reset the motherboard to the default value. • The BIOS setup program does not support Bluetooth devices.
Could you fit 4 ram modules in there too? With a similar setup (just a Lian Li Galahad AIO) I can‘t fit 4 but only 2, so I wondered if it was possible with the Kraken?
I cannot get windows to read any networks on this board. I am stuck on installation. How the hell do you install windows on this board. Anyone please help. I am desperate and sinking into serious depression
You may need to install network drivers on a usb (Using another computer). If windows installation is forcing you to find a network before completing install try looking up 'windows 11 install network bypass'. There are some youtube videos showing how to resolve this issue. Once in windows you can install the network drivers using the usb.
Having issues with this MOBO and my new 7950x + 3090 Ti build. Can Get over 200 FPS in Assetto Corsa w maxed settings at 1440p but every other game I play runs at 20FPS regardless of settings. Spider-Man Remastered, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Hitman 2, to name a few others i’ve benched. Also cannot OC my mem at all. No DOCP, or changing in small increments one at a time. Is CL36 DDR5 required for AM5? Bc I’m losing my marbles. My only thought it could be is the memory being 6400 mhz of CL32 vs CL36. Upgraded to this rig from a 2070S and 3950x W CL3600 that’s runs all those games but assetto better than the 3090 Ti. Cinebench also ranks my CPU AS #1 for multi and single core and no issues w FPS GPU wise during benchmarks like heaven and 3DMark; Its just terrible during gaming. Sorry for the long comment but I really hope you can help.
Normally If you have problem with DOCP, problems may come from CPU, Mobo or RAM. From my guess you likely to use 4 stick Ram or you use the 1st batch of AM5 when it launch. (Only ASUS Mobo didn't have problem with RAM). But your problem might not come from memory
@@DaBoxStore Couldn’t enable DOCP or Gen 5 for my PCIE slot without updating the BIOS; & my GPU somehow wasn’t plugged in all the way. Which is where the 20FPS in everything came from🤦♂️. Thank you though.
@@cloudy5365This MOBO is fine. Just don’t overclock the ram over 6000. I’m an idiot… 3090 Ti wasn’t plugged in all the way. Thinking it’s because its a founders edition. I plugged it all the way in and everything works fine now.

I bought this motherboard, and I have to say the RGB looks ugly, and washed out. Dark blue shouldnt look like sky blue. The only real problem I have with this motherboard. Everything else is fine. You just expect better RGB for the price tag.
Great build & gripping soundtrack. Mesmerizing!

Any issues with the gpu being mounted higher than the intake on the rad?
We found no issue.
I dont know nothing about computers but I'm planing to build my own soon and my only question is, is that meme really there or is that editing
Really there
Do u use the nzxt cam Software for the aio and do u have any problems ??

Whats the differenc between G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB and NEO RGB ?
did you have any issues with the ram? and which speed/timings was the ram stable?

I recommend you try to rotate your outlet port, if possible. I can't remember as well do we have interfere issue or not. Sorry
Hi, do you need to update bios before the first boot? Or just turn it on and see if it works?
BIOS updates are a necessity. AM5 is a 'relatively' new platform and updates can fix bugs related to hardware or add compatibility for new devices.
