Please Read & invite Michael Lewis on your show or watch some of his interviews of what REALLY happened.
YOU KNOW FACTS, if your interested in them. Why firing 4000 employees is crazy. How what Trump did during the transisition led to the COVID MESS!
The Fifth Risk is a 2018 non-fiction book by Michael Lewis that examines the transition and political appointments of the Donald Trump presidency, especially with respect to three government agencies: the Department of Energy, the Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Commerce.[1][2][3][4][5] The book spent fourteen weeks on The New York Times non-fiction best-seller list.[6] A lengthy excerpt from the book was published twice by The Guardian, using a quote from a top adviser to Trump in the title.[7]

The average person doesn’t understand the impact here. Remember the Crowdstrike outage and how everyone was happy to get out of work? Imagine that’s the power to a children’s hospital. The water your family needs to survive. Our capability to respond to nuclear strikes. We live in a coddled bubble, that WILL burst. I pray we are strong like the generations before us, but this next war will be incomprehensibly fast and unbound in scope.

I like that Lex doesn't interrupt, let's the interviewee speak, extrapolate, and finish their thoughts. Having said that, Lex looks very uncomfortable to me during this time with Vivek, it's obvious to me Lex is not on board with many, or all of Vivek's propositions. BUT, is unable to refute the logic and efficiency and effectiveness of them...which makes Lex so uncomfortable. Bureaucracy is bloated and fat, needs to be cut. Obvious. Illegals immigrants broke the law, should be accountable, should be shipped back. The cost of doing so is same or less expensive then keeping them here to take advantage of the "free" stuff, so that's a wash argument.
At any rate, I don't know about the 75% cut needed argument, I can say I worked in the U.S. Navy for a time, and about 25% really did the work. But there is a good percentage out there that, if taken out, nobody would know any difference, and the savings to the American taxpayer and deficit reduction would be huge. And the people, lord forgive, that get cut, will have to find another job just like all of us out there in the work force. So are we going to do the hard and necessary or keep on doing the easy and popular?

10:45 thank you Vivek for referring to it as a republic. We are supposed to be a constitutional republic not a democracy. It’s so refreshing to hear someone refer to it as our Republic. Save our republic. Yes! 51% of us can’t vote away the other 49%’s right. We have a constitution and a bill of rights. We’ve drifted off course in many ways, but thanks to this essential foundational factor, there is hope to self correct. Our individual freedom of speech rights in particular make it possible for a wise brave loan voice to speak out and present evidence that can wake people up in time to change course, even when a large portion of us have fell for propaganda and want you to be silenced. This is a place where the better ideas can prevail, even when they go against the powerful status quo.

However, there needs to be a more rigorous prep in order to provide meaningful counterpoints and sufficiently challenging questions. Without this you enhance the echo chamber effect for those who agree and alienate those who disagree. Anyone in the middle gets a hohum ping pong match without much value added. Total miss, for me.

I love how lex has so many concerns about the deportation but none about allowing 25 million unvetted people to remain here which hurts AMERICAnS. Economically they are getting tax payer benefits instead of us. The rebuild of these hurricanes will be a small portion of money compared to what we spent on illegals and foreign wars. They are boosting supply and demand for social services such as housing food schooling. Takes away from Americans in need veterans in need. Anything you can name in this country it effects. No country could sustain 25 million extra people in a short span of time. It is too big of a supply and demand. If 1% of these 25 million people are criminals(which ofc there are many) our communities and national security is at a major risk. But our main priorities should still be them ? We cannot be the worlds santa claus.

If he runs in 2028 he has my vote and am curious what all gets accomplished in the coming 4 years when true innovators and people who allow regular people a voice and a microphone to ask and plead. Who are willing to speak to anyone. Exciting times. Not to mention seeing these wars started in the last few years with current weak leadership to come to an end. Kamala and Biden etc want even take an interview with people who don’t agree or let person after person or interview after interview have a mic to ask a question like trump and Vivek do daily. I’m fine with the first purpose Vivek lays out for the federal government - protecting the American people, for example, by ensuring that additions to that people are not done by illegal border crossings that are subsequently granted some type of legal status.
But as to the second purpose of government - protecting private property rights - I think that’s too narrow. Why wouldn’t the government be responsible at the least for enforcing and/or adjudicating the laws that students study in the first 1-2 years of law school: property, yes, but also contracts, torts, and criminal laws, along with attendant laws on legal procedure (civil procedure, criminal procedure and evidence)? Sure, much of this can be handled by state governments, but not all. It’s one country, and I don’t want to re-invent the wheel through years of re-harmonizing what is a securities fraud across all 50 states.

The problem is usually the instructions are vague and ambiguous. When the orders are clear, they are followed. If a direct order is disobeyed, the CEO could fire such a person, but what would most likely happen is that worker would be transferred and put in a position that is unbearable. The work would be so unbearable, the worker may very well quit.

I love Vivek and his vision for America, but on the fair share issue in NATO: US have a lot of base-infrastructure in foreign countries which YOU DO NOT PAY for. In Germany especially as you mention it, there are districts which are depicted aus US-soil, so no German law applies here. This is, sorry to say it, an outright invasion. If a foreign country, beside an embassy, would have military infrastructure in the US, how would you call it? You are also not paying us Germans for this invaded territory any reparations, we just have to tolerate that. So if we speak about a fair share: Here it is, you invaded us and now say we have to pay a fair share which will go predominantly to your base-infrastructure, to your defense companies, etc. So please define "fair share" to the German citizens again.
Just to be mentioned: The bad russians have no military base-infrastructure here, no military airports, no missile headquarters, no own hospitals, schools, etc. But the US have it right before our eyes!
