I enjoyed the tour de Jim and Judy! Apartment on wheels complete with a tree even lol I watched the video yesterday and forgot to comment. Doh!! Hope you have a tubular day!
That's a nice truck. I have a love/hate relationship with the newest Cascadia. Love how it looks, but hate the dash layout and the lighting. Find my 2017 way more comfortable and easier to drive. I love that sleeper, I'd be in heaven
I don't think it affected the mileage that much. I tracked it for a good portion of the year. According to the gauge in the truck, we averaged 10.4 for most of last year. Actual mileage was less, as the gauge does not account for the reefer or our generator.
I’m interested in purchasing a similar setup as my first truck. Primary reason is because I need a bathroom for my wife/kids which will likely travel with me. Is this a good size for a beginner? I don’t want something too big because it’s my understanding that if the sleeper is too big, one will not be able to haul most loads. Would appreciate your advice. This will be part of my retirement plan
when you flush does it go into a separate tank? we’re owner ops looking into getting our first 100” sleeper and trying to understand how everything works and how to refill the water tank? 26:10
It goes into a removable “cassette.” You can remove the cassette through an outside access door, and take it to empty it. We usually empty our at a Flying J or anywhere that has a RV dump station. The cassette holds around 4 gallon or so. There is a water tank that you fill that is located in the same side panel as the cassette access. It holds around 3 gal. There is a spout that you pour water into. The cassettes just slides in. Good luck on the new truck!
Talk to one of the expediter carriers (FedEx Custom Critical, Panther, XPO, Try Hours, TriState or Landstar Express America) They should be able to walk you through the process and help you find a fleet owner. You will need at least a class B CDL and possibly a HazMat endorsement. Good luck!
I believe our tank is 60 gal. We have yet to use the shower. We've been out as long as 8 weeks without needing to refill the tank. We just us the water for cooking and cleaning up. So far good. We have friends who have a similar size tank and use the shower. They are usually able to take 2-3 showers before they need water.
@@ega0117 Love it so far. this 2020 truck is a completely different than our old 2015. Rides and drives much nicer. Really like the sleeper, but do miss the massive countertops we had in the old truck.
We just us our phones. All the videos prior to September 2020 were shot on an IPhone XS Max. Afterwards we switched to using the IPhone 11 Pro Max. For what we do, they work very well. We do use a small table top tripod. Thanks for watching!
@@odairtaveira5675 It is a 5 camera system from Dirselboss. (Dashcam, 2 side blind spot cameras, backup camera and one in the cargo box.) It records all the time. We still need to get a few bugs worked out of the system. Truthfully I could do without using the blind spot cameras, prefer to just use the mirrors. But it is nice to have that all recorded on camera. We love the truck :)
Great living quarters it's nice to see couples getting to enjoy the travel thank you for what you do we watch from Canada
Thanks for watching!

How much was your Mpg effected adding the extra sleeper?

Are you looking to buy a straight truck or tractor?
@@ItsAHighwayVlog a straight truck. I believe that’s what you also have correct? I will usually be on my own

what are good companies for owner operators with custom trucks?
looking to change company relatively soon
Landstar, FedEx Custom Critical.
One good looking truck.
Thank you, we really like it so far!
Looking good!
Thanks!
Hey Jim & Judy....what size or wattage is that inverter?? We really need to get one!
150 watts. Has three 110v outlets and 2 usb-b outlets. Works fine with our 3 chargers plugged in.
I'd like a 110 that would be nice. On a Coronado
My husband and I starting our company and I so want a truck with a sleeper like this when I’m on the truck driving with him. I need the bathroom
What kind of info are you looking for? Have either of you driven before?
OMG I feel like royalty because i eat like famous people! I use great value butter also!! Lol lol lol thanks for the tour!!!

Sweet, but could you keep the noise down over their I'm trying to sleep.

So your generator runs off your diesel?
Yes, it draws out of one of the tanks. Onan QD 7500. Very quite.
NICE. 👍😉

Nice that's my style but I'd have a 13 manual that's a nice one tho
Thank you. We enjoy our 12 speed automatic, Works perfectly for what we do in our straight truck. And it saves the knees, lol.
Why did you get rid of the bigger truck with sleeper?

What was the cost?
Not sure what the sleeper costs, entire truck is in the neighborhood of $290,000. (Including reefer box, liftgate and power landing gear.
Oh no ohio state no no the Georgia Dawgs only lol😂
