    Bro that’s not a truck anymore that’s an RV with a big trunk.

    My dad was a lifetime trucker in the uk. He was long distance so drove uk to Istanbul etc very regularly (hard core). All he had in the form of accommodation was a bunk bed - no shower, toilet, water, job, fridge or air con. Wish my recently departed dad had something like this. Especially when broke down in the Saudi desert for two weeks and had to wait for assistance (no ac).

      Incidentally the part never arrived because whilst on the road the company he was driving fir went bust and they didn’t even contact him, just left him there. So when the next convoy came past he abandoned the rig and the load right there and flew home. That Ford transcontinental and load might even still be there lol.

    The term "Chicken Lights" and "Chicken-Hauler" comes from the 60's and 70's when live chickens were regularly hauled OTR. The amount of lights on that the Chicken trucks had on them was an instrument in keeping the Chickens on-board calm at night. The vast number of lights would illuminate the rig to where looking from the inside-out like that of daylight.

    • @MFT069

      There is many of reasons for "chicken" lights Your is just one of many that can not be confirmed. Most of all since i've hauled chickens and trust me lights don't help keep them calm. Unless you run a red light which they can't see . But then you have all the car lights on the road... no Chickens day or night when the truck is moving normally will lay down and go for a ride. and even back in the 60's and 70's they was never hauled more than a days drive. Be it to replace egg layers or birds heading to be cut up for dinner.

      I owned a cleaning business before this so I keep it clean. Plus cats spend more than half of their awake time grooming themselves. I know some cat people can let their place get really stinky but the litter gets scooped AS SOON as they are out of the litter and put in a bag and that bag in a zip lock bag into the trash if we can't take it outside right away to help. The fur is a hassle but I try my best to keep on top of it. But yes he does love me 😂

    Little late on this, but that waste cassette if no one told you can be dumped in a regular truck stop or other rest area toilet. Any emergency solids can be flushed through it too.. if you haven't learned that trick already, also cleaning and flushing it helps to cut the smell down to zero because if you haven't noticed it builds up even if it's just urine.

    I have a question about your HVAC. Do you have the Park Smart system? Is your HVAC located on the back of the Bolt Sleeper? How is it serviced? My wife and I are trying to build an Expeditor Truck from a 2025 Cascadia 72" Sleeper and we are wondering how the HVAC is serviced when the van body butts right up to the truck.

    I know this is none of my business but I'm asking anyway. How can a 20 foot box earn you a living with more or less the same expenses as pulling semi trailers? Half (or less) the cargo does pay for a truck like that? Good for you!

    • @errorsofmodernism9715

      Son, do you think customers might pay a little more for shipping high value products in this dedicated manner?

    • @TruckandTravel
      @TruckandTravel  4 года назад +3

      Customers pay for exclusive use of the truck. They pay extra for us to take better care of items then most carriers. Its not how much we can haul its how well we will take care of it.
