Rip Rapping New Pond Inlet - Why Won’t the Straw Blower work?

  • This did not go as expected. But the end result was worth the work! Working with our awesome neighbor on our split pond build project and trying to get the dam secured before winter. Used Dirt Perfects tandem axle dump truck to haul in two loads of rip rap to repair an eroding drainage ditch. Then we borrowed his new to him straw blower to get all the seed and straw spread. Broke down on us at first, but we got it fixed and got the job done! hope you enjoy.

Looks good Mikey! For future reference the bale chopper is designed to take an entire bale at a time. If the knives inside are sharp, you dont even need to cut the twine on the bale, but if they get dull then the twine will jamb up the knives. More rpm's means great chopping power and better throwing distance. but I am sure you figured that part out.

oddly, I saw the video that YT broke before they broke it.

Not my field but i enjoyed watching and I'm wondering what the hay is for. Does it work like glass fibers in fiberglass?

It helps retain moisture for the grass seed and keep the birds from eating the seed

Man, that pond looks great 👍🏻 It's going to look really nice in spring when the trees come alive again. On my way to check out the Time Lapse Towboater channel!
