Damn im not gonna lie, i got pretty excited when I noticed you were playing Fatty Bear. Im not ashamed to admit I'd be on the edge of my seat to watch Mike play through Pajama Sam or Spy Fox
Loved Return Fire! So your health is the small red dot on the radar. With each hit it gets larger and larger and once it’s the full sized of the radar screen you’re dead. Also, you can Inflate the tires on the jeep which allows it to go over water, albeit slowly. 2 player is where the game really shines where you’re trying to get each other’s flag. You can even take your own flag with the jeep and hide it somewhere other than where it spawns if you want.
They really should have added some enemies aside from rocket turrets in the single-player game. Gameplay-wise they did a good job and two player is the real game.
I think it was the same guy that ported it to SNES too, randy linden. he was a god programmer. he basically rewrote all of doom by himself to run on super fx chip too.
@@ChairmanMeow1 Damn.. I hate when people say that SNES and 3DO port are the worst, they forget that these were very underpowered systems for something like DOOM

I remember clearly the guy in the chat that wanted to talk about Clark Gable. I thought it would have been really funny if you replied, "Frankly my dear, I don't give a shit," or something like that. Weird that Clark Gable showed up in a 3DO game the very next day.

did you write the last avgn ep with James? it felt old school and was my fav ep in years. felt like you were back doing the damn thing the right way at avgn again.
I respect Burger Becky for having the courage to develop the 3DO port of DooM when there was nothing actually developed. Randy Scott lied to Rebeca, id Software, and The 3DO Company about how the game was being developed, and thank fuck he got his just desserts.
This 3do port done in 30days is actually good. They had same assets and original code. Then needed to figure out what instructions, memory, colors, etc can be used directly. That alone is like 2 weeks alone. Doom on a 386 was worse than the 3do version, actually. However, comparing the 3do version to a 386 justifies your point.
Mike, my favorite games for the 3DO were Need For Speed, Road Rash, Twisted (definitely recommend trying this), SlamNJam 95', Streetfighter II Turbo (still one of the best on any console), Battle Chess, Out of this World, Gex, and Myst. I'm normally not a fan of soccer or golf games, but FIFA and Pebble Beach were solid games if you do like. John Madden Football was solid, Jurassic Park Interactive was ok, and although frustrating most times light gun games Crime Patrol and Mad Dog McCree were fun.
Mike, you could also play "Way of the Warrior" just for the lava stage, when you knock the opponent into the lava their skeleton jumps out and does a 4th wall jump scare slide down the screen.
Mike, seriously, look up how the BFG works. I'm watching the second Resurrection 32x stream rn, and if you just knew how it worked, it would save you gallons of stomach acid. I'll try to explain it best I can, but long story short if you use it right you can guaranteed take out a Cyberdemon in 2 shots, or 80 cells worth of ammo. From the moment you hit the trigger of the BFG, whatever direction you're facing, we'll just say North, that's the direction of the hitscan cone of damage will go. The green ball of damage is actually pretty lame in terms of the damage it does, it's the unseen hitscan damage that can take down a Cyberdemon or Spiderdemon in 2 shots, otherwise you can empty 600 cells into them with the BFG and they'll still not go down. Example 1: There's a Cyberdemon in the room to the north, and there's a hallway that leads to it going east and west with a door he can't fit thru, okay. Hit trigger while facing north inside the hallway, but to the east or west, then once the weapon is about to actually fire, position yourself exactly to his south and as close as you can get to him as fast as possible. If done right, the ball of energy will simultaneously hit him and set off the hitscan damage on him. Do this once more successfully and he'll be dead. Example 2: Same deal with the CD and hallway. If you once again hit the trigger while facing north, but turn to face east, the ball of energy will eventually hit the wall. What you want to do here is again position yourself directly south of him and as close as you can get. Once the green shot hits the wall, it will detonate the hitscan damage in a cone directly to the north, the direction you were facing when you first fired, so even if you're facing a 180 away from him, to the south, the cone of hitscan damage will spread from your immediate position and facing north once the energy ball hits a target. Do it again, and he's friggin dead. Example 3: Let's say you're in a big arena with 20 pinky demons. Try to gather them to the north of the arena without getting trapped, then face north whilst trying to get to the south of them, fire the BFG facing north, and once the energy ball leaves the gun keep facing north and try to be south of them enough to where they're all within your screen's view. The cone of hitscan damage will randomly select whatever enemy targets are on the screen and do massive damage to most if not all of them, potentially taking them all out. idk how much hitscan damage there is, or what the pinky's health is, so I haven't done the math, but hopefully the explanation of how this insane weapon works has made some kind of sense to you. I know this is kinda confusing, but blame the devs on this explanation, because that's exactly how it works. It's completely unintuitive, no one would've ever guessed that that's how it works, but people have made diagrams and videos on how to make the BFG a truly Big Fraggin Gun. I hope you try testing this out on PC Doom offscreen, just put on god mode in the Tower of Babel and test it out a bit on the CD there. Anyways, love the streams, man, they're always a blast, and help me get thru the jeedee day.

For playing Doom at home, the PC version is a perfect 10 and everything else is like a 4; but if you're on the road, the GBA one stays at 4 and everything else goes down to zero, so the GBA version is the best. There are better portable Doom games now, but that's because it's a 25 year old game, like imagine if someone told you that their favorite version of Space Invaders is the working Space Invaders game that somebody made inside of Minecraft, you would probably just laugh at them.
Isn't F.M. Towns "Marty" the name of the kid that sat Indian-style for too long and couldn't walk ever again, or am I confusing that with something else?
PC is the only good version of doom, but if i had to play on a console, the SNES or playstation 1 versions are somewhat playable... doom64 is an entirely different game though. back when doom first came out, PC's were an expense, especially one that could run doom, like 1000$... today, you can run the PC version of doom on a 12$ computer, there's really no reason to play it on console anymore.
This looks like the most amount of fun you can have while playing a 3DO
