If I want to run hot water with the valve set to max temperature in the bath/shower faucet
The hot water runs cool (35*C) when faucet/tap is turned to MAXIMUM output (and max temp) in the BATH. If I want to run the hot water at the desired temperature of lets say 60*C, I must reduce the faucet valve to mid-range output, consequently weakening the stream.
I do not have this issue with the Kitchen and bathroom sinks. The can run very hot water with tap valves at max output…
Could it be that the pipes which supply the hot water to the bath are larger than those which supply hot water to the sinks?? Perhaps the boiler cannot keep up with heating the water when its running at a high output? Not sure this is the reason though. The apartment is relatively new, and so is the Vaillant boiler.. Also the boiler supplies hot water to the radiators with no issues…
The hot water supply temperature setting on the boiler is indeed set at 65*C….
Also, this isn’t a faucet cartridge issue, because the hot water in the bath-faucet still behaves like this, even if I shut down the main cold-water supply, i.e. so there is not cold water interference…
Can’t get my head around this, any suggestions how I can get the hot water to run at a decent outout?!
    THANKS

I have a boiler from 2005 and it stopped producing hot water, we had a friend who’s experienced with boilers and he used the black pressure valve under the boiler to restore hot water, he did this twice for my family and we had hot water for 2 months at each time he did the black valve,
then water was cold one day so we called out boiler man and he said new parts were needed on boiler and the work was done, boiler man restored our hot water after doing this, he mentioned that our boiler will fluctuate, we get hot water for showers for 2 minutes then it goes loop warmish, I thought boiler is still faulty but one of my family members said a few days after the boiler repair job that there showers are getting hotter and hotter, what is fluctuation and can anyone help me with this answer please ? Because new parts were added to my boiler will it fluctuate for good or will the boiler keep getting better and better and produce hot water constantly ? Is it a new parts in the boiler thing ? Any answers would be much appreciated 👍

Hi. My hot tap is fluctuating hot and cold. But if I reduce the rate of the tap it stays warm. What do you think is the issue? Thanks

    Cheaper just to replace it!

Peter sutton yes, especially when it’s been removed, but sometimes it’s good for installers to remove and clean cause then it tells them it’s the plate and nothing else ie NTCs etc

@@warriorsofwarmth one shot drain cleaner or spirits of salts. Once it's out quick and easy 5 mins clean. Sometimes I just run my adey rad agitator across and around then flush with water or fernox DS40 ✌. Nice to see you back ond posting again Jon, top man 👍.

My combi boiler gives hot water and then it goes cold(not always) ,but when it does i have to turn off the tap leave it for 2-3 seconds and open the tap again so i can get hot water , could the heat exchanger be the problem ?

Silviu Stoian could be diverter valve not working and the hot water is only from the heating side

Is this something an amature could try. Having changed an expansion vessel and radiators etc. I don't mind playing with water side but don't want to play with the gas side

Hi, my boiler which is over 15 years old ( Aplha 240x ) is cycling hot and cooler water over a period of about 30 seconds. Could this be the problem? Cheers
