As one creator to another, I still find it crazy how virtually all your videos are one-take, with no editing. Really highlights that teaching is a powerful skill haha
Just listened to this video while walking home at night from a party.....and the end crushed me....in a good way. I don't usually comment but I had to this time. Great video!
You were right skye I did cry a little when you opened the record and I wasn’t expecting to. I do have a similar item that I bought around when someone in my life passed away but I would never in a million years open it. It would hurt too much
Another theory about the “estate sale” title is that it’s an estate sale for all of his personas and it means he’s starting fresh in the next album with no fake persona covering his truth.
In the sorry not sorry video a shirtless Tyler kills off all his old personas.
Including CMIYGL Tyler who Is probably the one the estate sale is mostly for
Thank you so much for sharing the last part with us! It was really powerful to see, and I hope you are able to find some solace while you enjoy the record.
cried a little tear at the end of this video. I'm at a wondrous revelatory gradiuationary part of my young life and i have had a dead dad for a good four years now. I'm grateful for every opportunity i have to reflect on his great life. i was never that invested in music when he was around but he very much was. it was his lifelong dream to be a rockstar. he was a lifelong Beatles fanatic and I've only this month brought myself to listen to one of their albums. if not obvious by my commenting on this channel since his passing I've been so engrossed in music it has become as of 2022 my lifes whole big purpose. this is seconded by my miraculous singing voice which just appeared in my throat about the same month he passed. that he never heard me sing makes me miserable. i hope I've sung loud enough that he might've heard me. but i will get louder! i ought not to get into any familial longing tendencies that might draw me into videos of a wise man around the same age my dad would be talking about the things he loved. though to dissuade any theory crafting; professor skye is NOTHING like my dad! my dad would beat you in a fight. I think grief after a long time becomes a gift. this video provided me that brief beautiful glow. AVAA
I was gonna say this eventually because I know you read all your comments but thanks for just existing
and making these videos. I’ve watched a ton of them and have even went back, re-listening to them like a podcast or something, analyzing what you are saying, almost as if Mac Miller, Tyler the creator and or Earl sweatshirt are some sort of course. The ending of this video, as you said, got me emotional and I also wanted to say thank you for even including something that crazy into a video anyone and everyone can see.
Thanks for the kind words.
Shout out to Prof for knowing and loving Miriam Makeba's music. South Africa represent!
Love this, very emotional, i like that you decided to open the record, thats very powerful
Igor amazed me. There’s a thin lane of that funky soulful resurgence a la ‘Awaken My Love’, ‘Igor’, etc that just slaps to me. J Cole’s “For Your Eyez Only” applies somewhat as well, despite being hybrid rap/r&b.
Don’t forget Silk Sonic
Been on a huge Vince kick. That self titled joint is fantastic.
I didn’t enjoy this deluxe all too much but I knew there was still a reason to check out the review. Bless you for sharing so much of yourself Prof!
Life is for living. Thank you for sharing.
19:19 i always took that line “how you tell us that you real but you stay off the meds” meant sort of how are you calling yourself real when you are unable to handle reality sober. in that i guess “off the meds” sort of meaning closer to something like being “off your face” or “off the wall” rather than describing not taking prescriptions
You do a masterful job of breaking this down. Thank you for your candor and transparency.
you're my favorite professor mr skye, now CMIYGL have two new sences in my life
My heart goes out to you. Thank you for putting out these videos. Love your input/takes on various albums.
my condolences
Excited to watch this! But also I highly anticipate the bcnr live from Bush Hall video!

Another Great Video Professor! The end was super touching too. I hope you play that Vinyl a thousand times ✨
my excitment for this video basically majes me satisfied only with the idea of it. It's almost nostalgic, cuz' the first video of yours that I watched was the Tyler Baudeleire one.
28:00 you gotta check the sorry not sorry video, itll widen your view
Thank you Professor. Your videos mean so much to me.
Much love to you
just a beautiful video
would recommend listening to the Pharrell Gangsta Grillz project, by Tyler and Drama's admission this album was Tyler's take on it.
Fuck Man U weren’t lying about the tears
Very special
i think you would like avantdale bowling club
Bravo 👏 ❤
Excellent video as usual, but I’m so surprised that I don’t see anyone bringing up that the “WHAT A DAY” beat was first heard by the public in Royce Da 5’9”’s “Boblo Boat” ft. J.Cole
Urbaniak is credited in the album liner on Tidal.
❤❤❤
You should make a list of albums you should listen to before you die, RIP to your Pa.
You should go see the new Matt Damon Nike movie Air in theaters. It's thematically resonant and relevant to what you do here and some of these themes. Plus, its a good nostalgic middle aged gaunt through the 80's. I think Tyler name drops MJ on the album actually so that's neat, if common.
Edit: thanks for the Molière recommendation! I think i'll try to find some translations.
Please make a song about the rip! I would watch the shit out of that🙏
Would love to hear your thoughts on RAYE’s album My 21st Century Blues… lots to sink your teeth into! ❤
please review Black County, New Road's new album "live at bush hall"! I am sure you will enjoy it

You should collab/interview with @bob the poppop. He built his whole youtube channel as a rock guy’s journey through hip hop and i think you guys would have an interesting conversation.
Please review the new HMLTD album, Windmill adjacent band who just made a concept album about worms 🪱
