Race Against Time: Trapped Under a Boulder in the Enchantments

Chelan County Mountain Rescue, a 2023 SAR Award winner, was selected for their incredible skill while rescuing a hiker who became pinned beneath a refrigerator sized boulder in the Enchantments.
The Chelan County team, in a multi-agency collaboration, raced against time to free the hiker without causing further injury and rendezvous with heli-evac in high winds.

The SAR that work The Enchantments are top notch. Thankfully never had to use them, but they are the best. Seen them go out on a job/training mission when I was up at Colchuck. Hats off
