I have questions & concerns about loops and copyright: For example if I'll sell the same loop to 100 people and 5 of them will blow up (1m+ streams). Won't all these people (including me) get copyright claims / legal issues between each other due to the same loop being used in multiple songs? What if 1 of them will be signed to a big label afterwards? Do you have a work around or any tips on what producers should / could do? Also, what if artist want to buy exclusive rights for the loop so they can own the Copyright, but I already sold non-exclusives to 99 others and 5 blew up? If I'll post my loops on socials and they'll start getting used in full songs, how do I avoid getting copyright claims on my loop videos? You'll be literal life saver if you could answer these and tell some other useful info / tips regarding loops / drums and copyright / legal disputes that could help avoid stress / headaches & lose of money / projects for the producers. Bet many would appreciate such info, not only me 🙏
Hey bro, I try to give you the best information out of my expirience. 1. Sending out loops should always include some information about your terms related to placements beat selling & Co. Never sign a producer agreement if you sold leases that doesn't include that previous beat sales are not effected. At the end these are all legal questions that can be avoided by the right communictation and setup. 2. Same as in 1. Sell Exclusives including the phrase that previous lease sales are not effictive. 3. You will get Copyright claims, but once you will out the sheet on youtube, that you are the composer the copyright claim will withdrawn. Does that answer your questions?
