So let's not get the facts twisted. It didn't all began when "PRIMETIME!!!, took over "JSU" football program, and also neither when Doug Williams took over "GSU'S" program. Still they aren't the true pioneers of HBCU football coaching. They would be the first to tell us this. ☑️ So let's not pretend that Coach Prime was the first retired NFL player to ever coach at an HBCU football program. Deion used "Jackson State University" for a stepping stone to help land a much better paying coaching gig, and then left. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! ☑️ I'm pretty sure because of Michael Vick's controversial criminal past, his coaching ceiling has been reached with the opportunity to coach the Norfolk State University "Spartans" football program. If it doesn't work out for Vick in Norfolk, I hope his time there will help lead him to a coaching position, or front office opportunity in the NFL. It's very hard to keep a good person down. They are not the only black men those players listen to. Rather than prop up athletes, focus on recommending black fathers. This will make the most difference to young black boys to create men.
