I loved them for a minute (especially unused, in stores), but we have hard water too, and when I saw a black kitchen faucet in regular use at a publishing house, which btw has professional cleaners come in every other day, the spell was broken. They looked rough. But then shiny ones show dried water droplets, so brushed chrome all the way ;)
Love the way Mark talked you out of turning your flat into the "Instagram look" with the dark taps and dark F&B sitting room, they are alreAdy out of date. I loved the aesthetic of your flat and I'm looking forward to seeing your house progress. Great vibe in the video!

Gardens and outdoor entertaining spaces are so amazing! The first thing my husband and I did to our house was invest in outdoor furniture, lights, bbq etc and it was the best decision. Hope you guys get to move into your house soon!

We are still in our 2 bed flat, we thought it would be a 3 year thing and we have got married and had our 2 boys and we are still here. Just about to buy our first house, everything is with the lawyer at the moment. We have had to budget for a new roof on the new place but can’t believe it is finally happening for us.

My partner and I sold our cottage last year that we had completely refurbished, to move into a bigger family home but literally it had not been touched since the 70s we have done everything from central heating, rewiring and taking to back to brick to build up again, we have almost finished building an extension and I am exactly the same as you Anna I want it to be the house everyone comes to the social place I cannot wait to actually be able to put up a Christmas tree this year! I wasn’t surprised when you guys said you were moving. I think a big difference between our parents/grandparents generations and us is people aren’t buying forever homes straight up. They are starting small and slowly building up to forever homes, rather than renting until they can afford that forever homes. Where as there is soooo many older individuals still living in the houses they bought in their 20s
Im getting really even more invested in all your recent videos as my husband and I are in the same phase as you guys are and we are waiting to exchange and to complete! We cant wait to move in and also start working on our new 'future' place. If I can just make a quick comment: it hurts when people use the words “start a family” to mean “having children”. For people who can’t or won’t have children, equating the two can make us feel like we aren’t a real family and that hurts. I understand it’s just a manner of speech and those habits are difficult to change, but if you could maybe phrase it differently in the future I would be massively grateful ❤️ But I understand if you can’t.
