It's good to do things you love! Is there someone you can pass your extensive flower knowledge on to? My health also took a turn & I am so tired of hospitals, doctors, tests, procedures & long blood draws, so I too have been immersing myself into my arts. I love Morning glories and was so pleased to see you do this. These canes are incredible! TY
You most likely made this video a while ago but I hope you will see this post. Your videos are unlike any others. I appreciate them - you - very much. If anyone comes close to your method of teaching I would say it was Samantha of Jessama Designs. She explains a lot. I need that as I am new to polymer clay. I was mostly a mother, hard worker, musician/singer, gardener reader, and knitting woman when things were different. I made paper beads during my last 5 bedridden years but now I have improved a bit and I hope to learn the craft, even art, of polymer clay. I was so aggravated last night when I viewed your video. My pasta machine cost maybe $25 from Amazon and now I learn it’s no good - plastic! Ah! Such is life. Not the biggest of deals - enough to aggravate me, though. Ha! I bought it many months ago. Each month from my SSDI stipend I promise myself one more thing to add to what I need/want to make jewelry and beautiful transparent vases. As creative and artistic as Samantha is, and I am a huge fan, she doesn't have your wealth of artistic knowledge. Yours simply goes so deep. How rich you are in knowledge, understanding, and ability, even though that ability has changed. Well done, you! My injuries have left me quite differently abled. So I truly appreciate that your life has changed so much as well. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden pictures. What a lovely, gracious, and gorgeous home! It was all very breathtaking. Yet we both do go on - but how I wish I knew of you at your zenith! You draw pictures, tell us the why’s and show us the how’s of creating. You are a true gift. It must cost you but you joyfully give yourself on Sundays to teach and interact with your followers. You are altogether lovely. Today is Easter. We mostly call it Resurrection Sunday. I am a Christian and a true believer in the KJV Bible. I hope you have trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. As lovely as all of these creations are without the Lord Jesus Christ all is vanity. I didn't write you to preach! I was moved in my heart by today's messages. I just wanted to add my thanks together with the many of others to you. I love your videos. My favorite remains the one with translucent and golds. It's beautiful. I especially looked up morning glories because I grow them, too. The roses and Rose of Sharon, Lilies of the Valley, the irises, and clematis are on their own - all perennials here in Illinois. I wish, like where you live, that morning glories would come back but, sadly, they do not. My seeds are almost ready. We wait for Mother's Day to plant up here. Being so near Chicago, well, it's folklore wisdom. I'll be ready. If one could see your art of yesteryears! Your art of today is just so wonderful. So, thank you so much and I wish you very, very well.
Thank you for your kind words, Perses! It is amazing, isn't it, how creating or nurturing helps us be able to go through the hardships in our life! I am glad that you enjoy my videos!
Oh my god I’m crying ;___; I found this tutorial just googling how to make fimo clay canes and I was not expecting this AT ALL it was so so beautiful Thank you so much for making this. Its a gorgeous video, and the editing is so calm and soothing. I’m really inspired by your story and I’m so glad you put this up on youtube ♥
I followed your tutorial exactly today and made my first Morning Glory canes. They are stunning. You're such a good teacher Kalayna and take the scary difficulty out of making beautiful polymer clay items. I reduced mine down to the size I'd use for large'ish beads and they still kept the detail! So thrilled with the results. I just finished baking and oh my gosh. I'm in love with these! I've decided to make a necklace, charm bracelet and earrings of.. Morning Glories! Thank you, so very much.
Day, your garden was so beautiful. I know how you feel to give it up, had to give mine up too. This tutorial reminded me of my grandmother. She was confined to a wheelchair but would use a little hoe to plant her seeds. When the morning glories bloomed we would use one to blow soap bubbles. Thanks for brightening that memory for me.
Well, the year when I felt I wasn't going to be able to do much anymore, that fall I moved most of the perennial plants from the backyard to the front yard. I still have a few things in the back yard but at least the front looks good. It was hard, that's for sure, to give it up. I love having my hands in the dirt, touching the roots of the plants, feeling them grow to beauty.
Love this video! Really helped me to understand the construction of canes better. Love your garden. Love your accent. Thanks for all your videos; I find them really helpful.
Well done dear, I liked the dark purple the most, I was upset 😢that I didn’t wake up for live video , but I’ve seen it just now, it’ 2:45 AM in Dubai but I could’t wait till morning. Thanks a lot for sharing ❤️
Beautiful old world morning glory flowers, you nailed it! Pansies? Violets? Nasturtiums? Would love to see those in polymer. Your garden is lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! Keep doing what you're doing and in time you will start seeing too! Well sometimes it gets to the extreme, as in you have moments that you look at everything in terms of "how would a cane of this look like?"
This morning glory is one of my favorite flowers. Thank You so much for sharing your story and your beautiful talent. I was also wondering where you got your computer program, and what the program is called. I thought that was so cool how you showed how you broke it down. And how you determined what part to use in making your cane. Thanks again for sharing your video. ❤️
I am sorry, no. I never sold seeds. I used to be part of a gardeners network of seed exchanges. That's how I got most of the seeds. The rest, I got them either from baker creek (rareseeds dot com) or even from etsy or eBay..
It's so much fun being part of the live viewing! Not only that you're a lot of fun to hang out with. These are so stunning! Can't wait for Sunday!
It is! I love this new premiere feature

Really love the blue one but they are all beautiful!!
Should have said both light bright and darker blue. But the last blue and white was great too!
Just beautiful! I'm always looking for ideas for my journals that are original. This will work! I'll send a pis. Thanks.

Thank you! Yes, we'll do more flowers, canes and sculpted
I mean a pic. So many varieties and colors that will work together.
Yes, you know I love photos!
Awesome garden!! I love these canes. It’s simply amazing how you “see” flowers and then make a cane to represent it. My mind must be mush lol.
