I had to show these to my husband! He gets ideas for me to use, but hasn't made any cards - yet! It's hard to impress a man, but he was awed. TY Jennifer. I'll be getting out my alcohol inks.
Hi Jennifer. It's Lisa, and I'm new in this neck of the crafting woods. :) Thank you for your instructive video. I don't at this time have any alcohol (liquid) inks, but I do have some alcohol markers. I am going to try your method with them, and see how it turns out! This is also the first year that, because of your teaching and encouragement, I made ALL of my Christmas cards! I had a blast, and am now preparing for birthdays and Valentine's Day. Ha Ha Ha Thank you again. I really appreciate you; especially your openness about your faith! *Hugs*
I love playing with alcohol inks on Yupo. I am glad you mentioned that you didn’t have to seal or fix it because I really wondered about that. I also love that technique of blowing on the ink. They were all gorgeous as usual. Thank you so much
Thank you Thank you Jennifer. I bought Alcohol Inks and I was at a loss as to what to do with them now I am about to have some Fun. I so like your videos and style of teaching
Wow, wow, wow! the backgrounds are beautiful and the cards are super stunning! The holy star and the hand written word dies (presumably Kristina’s handwriting) are gorgeous. Thanks for all the inspiration and instruction.
These cards are amazing Jennifer! I've loved alcohol inks since they first came out and it's good to be able to use a new technique with them. I can't wait to dig them out! thank you for sharing.
Absolutely love this technique. I didn’t know I could use alcohol on the alcohol ink for a beautiful look. The blending solution always just gave me dots and I didn’t think to move it around. I am so grateful for all the inspiration you have given me over the years.
Thanks so much for doing this video, Jennifer! I have never seen this technique before. Sometimes "old is new" is good adage to go back to! Absolutely beautiful cards!
Jennifer, you are inspiring. I love playing with alcohol ink, but wondered how to make great Christmas cards with the medium and you've given me so many ideas. I love the dye cut words. They are the perfect adornment while leaving the painting visible. Thank you.
So glad to see you use yupo. It’s an amazing product. I started watching you way back when you had a whole series on alcohol inks. It’s so forgiving and each creation is unique and stunning especially with the metallic mixatives.
Just a few days ago I was at a craft store and all the Tim Holtz/Ranger products were on sale. I have never used alcohol inks but I picked up several colors plus the gold and silver mixatives and a bottle of blender. I really didn't know what to do with them so your video is super serendipitous! Now I need to go get some yupo paper, if there's any left. After you come out with a video all the supplies are gone in a flash 😁
I make Christmas cards every year, each year doing something different with them. I used alcohol inks for the first time a few moths ago. I have since made several sheets of backgrounds using the inks. I would love to use them to make my Christmas cards this year. This video is timely, but it's still a bit early to think about Christmas. I will definitely keep this video in mind though when it comes to making my cards. Thank you.
This is so helpful to me and all of us. Just jam packed full of ideas...and techniques...and they are all so striking and just fantastic...................thank you Jennifer........................................pat
Hello Jennifer!! These backgrounds turned out beautiful and you turned them into such stunning cards!! I really love how the alcohol inks did when you blew air thru the straw...really made the colors blend so beautifully!! I would love to see more videos on using alcohol inks please!! This was an awesome video Jennifer...thank you for sharing!! Your a rock star Jennifer!! 🦋
Thank you Jennifer - an excellent video as usual. I do use alcohol inks but I haven’t used them on yupo paper which I must now investigate. I love how well the inks move. I would love to see more advanced videos when you have the tie. Xxx
I’ve watched so many you tube videos so Pinterest ideas and videos as a crafter of many years I must say I definitely feel your video is by far the best I’ve ever come across so to the point and so many ideas in on video in a short amount of time. I went ahead and ordered a whole set of alcohol inks from Tim Holtz Alcohol blending solution , and stamp pad, yupo paper , I mean a bunch of stuff. You have inspired me so much to try these I can’t wait I will be subscribing just adore you. Wow! I’ve got some great ideas 💡 now of my own can’t wait to see more of your videos. I found my go to girl.... stay bless....
I've always used glossy cardstock but recently bought Yupo paper to give it a try. I have a product called Luna Lights (about 17 yrs old) believe it was made by Stamp Oasis, no longer made, beautiful metallic ink products. I'm going to try mixing with alcohol inks since both products r used on glossy products. I would LOVE to see this product on the market again!!
I've always known how to do the swiping and pouncing with the alcohol inks, but never realized to drag a brush through or use a straw. Amazing! And yes, all about more techniques with alcohol ink. I have (and love) Yupo, but I was also gifted a ton of glossy cardstock and will take any excuse I can find to use it. And as always, these cards are absolutely stunning :)
Gorgeous backgrounds which make for some gorgeous cards!! I think you've got a fabulous idea to frame the rainbow one. It is so beautiful and is my favourite as well. Thanks for all the tips of alcohol inks!!
I absolutely love the holy stars and rejoice sentiment Thank you so much for requesting this as I can see many many cards in my future with these dies!!
Thanks for sharing your creativity with us... I was recently playing with my alcohol inks with my elderly Mom who has Parkinson's and this medium doesn't need steady hands so it was perfect for us. I've watched several videos about alcohol inks but hadn't seen or didn't remember the idea of using a brush to add the blending solution and move the inks around. A BIG thank you for that tip as I love the marbled look it achieves. Have a great day! 😃
Be still my heart... You're making me want to drop everything to pull out my neglected alcohol inks. They are all so stunning, but that blue and turquoise Oh Holy Night makes my heart sing. So pretty!
As always Jennifer, you stun us with your creativity and knowledge of the products you use, also encouraging us to "play" and have fun with everything. As another very wise lady says, "it's only paper", so if it goes wrong, it hasn't cost you a huge amount of money. Many thanks. LOVED this youtube. Bev.
I don't know what to say that hasn't been said...these background are amazing and I enjoyed watching you do them....such beautiful cards that you made with those alcohol inks....thank you Jennifer for everything you put out there so we can learn these technique...now I'm off to your site to see the close-up.....well done and tfs
Love the background stamp with the center that comes out. I think I remember seeing something similar from a Hero Arts stamp set. But I love how much more versatile the stamp becomes with the added option!
Thanks for showing us this passionate type of background. If you run out of air use a canned air computer cleaner. I have done this on tile blocks to use as coasters.
These are all so very beautiful Jennifer. I learned something like this years ago and it was very addictive. We called it marbling then and it IS fun. All of your backgrounds are gorgeous as are the completed cards. TFS!
Thanks for another amazing and inspiring video! It inspired me to postpone my cleaning so I can create cards. My creativity was shut down after my mom's passing and my cards have been, well...blah. I have never been disappointed with Alcohol Inks! Maybe I'll clean tomorrow. Maybe................................
I just bought a starter set of alcohol inks to use for nail art (making marble style accent nails) and I doubt I'll need more than a fraction of a drop for my tiny fingernails lol. So now I know what I'm doing with the rest of my inks! Wonderful tutorials and ideas; your channel is done so tastefully and the editing is great. I'm so glad I stumbled across your videos and now I'm a subscriber. 💗 Best wishes.
I really enjoyed watching you play with the alcohol and ink. As a matter of fact I was getting a little jealous that you were having all the fun and I wasn't getting to have any of it. Lol. The out come of the ink and alcohol reminds me of when I play with food coloring and men's shaving cream except your paper didn't come out wet and warped when you finished. Or smell good either I bet! Lol💙 I especially like the O Holy Night and the other beautiful ones with the cross. Those were definitely my favorites. They were beyond beautiful, simply out of this world gorgeous. Thank you for the great tutorial, Jennifer, I really enjoyed it.💟💟💟
Hi Jennifer ~ These cards are all stunning but I especially love the cards done with the 6x6 background stamp that Kristina so beautifully designed. The results are all gorgeous and when the weekend arrives I'm definitely going to dust off my alcohol inks and play a bit. Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a fabulous weekend. ~HUGS~ #kindnessmatters
You should have a LOVE button and not just a like.. These are fantastic and I think I know what this set of Christmas cards will be this years.. Thank you heaps for your hard work and inspiration x
I am watching your you tubes and am fascinating. Thank you for your creativity and sharing the beautiful cards. I am making tags and having so much fun. I will use the many techniques you have shared.
Love them. I have the alcohol inks you used, so now I can try them out as soon as I get my SSS order. I love the dies you used and can’t wait to use them.
Very nice! It's been a while since I've done alcohol inks but they are a lot of fun. I still have so many of the Tim Holtz inks and the metallics. Time to pull them out and revisit that technique. I have a few large leaf dies that I think would work well with this technique especially using some fall colors. It would be pretty on the vellum as well.
This technique is so cool, and it goes along with the marble trend that's been super popular lately. I love how the more you work with the ink, the more it looks like actual marble! I'm obsessed with it. I, too, would frame that beautiful rainbow piece :)
Lovely! I was just using alcohol inks yesterday and was contemplating whether or not to get more colors... this totally made up my mind! Love your videos Jen!
I love your videos soooo much. I have been watching yours and Kristina's nonstop these last few days. Seeing these videos has given me so much inspiration. I'm starting my own small business selling bookmarks and bookish art prints and I really love the way you get your backgrounds done with alternatives to watercolor because like you, it isn't my strong suit. Anyway, love your videos so much! Could you do a video showing how to get a galaxy looking background using different materials like the alcohol inks, watercolor, tombow dual brush pens, etc? I'd love to see that as well as your materials/supplies collection.
You are great, creative and so sweet. And never say thank you to us for watching a long video, I can watch you create 24-7. Thank you for sharing with us. Therese
Your videos always cost me so much money! Cannot wait to produce ink backgrounds plus get these dies and stamps. Your cards are sooo beautiful! I also love that you make so many "different" examples. ❤️
Jennifer that was a great tut. Love alcohol inks and have used them for a long time but I didn't even know about spreading them with a brush. Have you use canned air instead of just a straw? So much fun. I also am now aware that I really do need to purchase the actual blending solution as I've always used just straight alcohol but to see you do both in the same process made me really see the difference that the two do. So thank you very much!!
Definitely interested in more techniques. These cards are gorgeous and I have been wondering how to use Alcohol Inks. Also been waiting for that kind of adhesive sheets since Stick-It is not my friend.
Jennifer you are such a miracle worker. I call you the Scheherazade of Stamping because you just never run out of amazing ideas and always have a cool way of presenting new products. No exception here - they are all just gorgeous. Wish I was on your Christmas card list. =^..^=
Oh my gosh, Jennifer! Your early videos using alcohol inks are what got me started with card making! TY!
I had to show these to my husband! He gets ideas for me to use, but hasn't made any cards - yet! It's hard to impress a man, but he was awed. TY Jennifer. I'll be getting out my alcohol inks.

What a tremendous use for reinkers, etc. Gorgeous results - I can’t wait to give it a try. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Thanks so much for doing this video, Jennifer! I have never seen this technique before. Sometimes "old is new" is good adage to go back to! Absolutely beautiful cards!
Beautiful. The one you did and pounced on..looks like a hand coming out of the clouds!
Such a good way to use the alcohol ink... with a paintbrush 🖌️... amazing
My alcohol inks did not make the move with us last year. Now all of these beautiful backgrounds are appearing. Thank you for sharing.
Jennifer, you are inspiring. I love playing with alcohol ink, but wondered how to make great Christmas cards with the medium and you've given me so many ideas. I love the dye cut words. They are the perfect adornment while leaving the painting visible. Thank you.

Those Christmas stamps and dies are fabulous! And your backgrounds are stunning! I'll be referring to this video quite often.

As usual beautiful cards. Always appreciate how much you help us with our cards.
As always Jennifer, you stun us with your creativity and knowledge of the products you use, also encouraging us to "play" and have fun with everything. Great job, Jen. So creative. I didn't think you could heat-emboss Yupo paper. That makes me more interested in it.
This is fantastic! I love how easy it looks. And I love the effects that make a perfect background to look like the night sky. Awesome!
Love the background stamp with the center that comes out. I think I remember seeing something similar from a Hero Arts stamp set. But I love how much more versatile the stamp becomes with the added option!
I love the backgrounds and watching you - you make it look so easy. Thanks for showing us this addictive technique.
Thanks for showing us this passionate type of background. If you run out of air use a canned air computer cleaner. I have done this on tile blocks to use as coasters.
Dear Jennifer
Tks a bunch. I am going to try it with acrylic paints as I don't hv alcohol inks.tc stay safe
Fantastic demonstration! Thank you so much, Jennifer.
You are so welcome!
Love all of your examples. I have also had alcohol inks for years. I am definitely going to try this and please do another video using the felt pads.

Wow, you really did a bunch of cards. That's what I love about you, you go all out.

It's amazing! Most people don't speak of alcohol ics in such light. Nice job!

OMG I am enthralled with your designs. I must blow the dust off my inks and experiment with my Yupo.
KW background card is stunning.

Oh, these are so beautiful! I never did jump on the alcohol ink "bandwagon," but this sure has me tempted!
Your videos always cost me so much money! Cannot wait to produce ink backgrounds plus get these dies and stamps. Your cards are sooo beautiful! I also love that you make so many "different" examples. ❤️
Hey Jen, I want to see you try the alcohol ink and transfer foil technique. Love to see what you'd make of it.
Wow! So gorgeous! I'm gonna dig out my alcohol inks and have some fun! Thanks for the inspiration..

I learn more about alcohol inks, and didn't know about the paper. Thanks
These are GORGEOUS!!! Thanks for sharing this technique!
