    Your lesson is very simple in approach which is helping tons of adult beginners who do not have somebody to take give them attention. Some of the people who do not study music while in school or university or as a kid. Now as an adult, they are willing to play music or learn the music and no body wants to teach them. Your lesson is help because some of adult in our old are thought it's over since we could not study music but any of such people who come across your lesson will really hooked up. Very simple to understand for ones a beginner. I understand enclosure before now but now that watched this lesson I now know when to use it and how. Great number of beginners would really appreciate project. Thank you so much. From Nigeria

    Hello from Thailand. Not sure if you ever made a vdo teaching a technique quite like enclosure one , no idea how it is called, but it is about starting halftone below or above a selected note in the song to make the note sounds more musical.
    If never did, please 🙏

      This would be called an approach note or grace note, so far I haven’t made a video on that 🎷🎷🤝🤝😎😎

    Lynden if I understand this lesson correctly, you can use this enclosure technique to target a particular note as well ? So it’s a lead in to perhaps a long held note etc .
    Thanks

    I usually think of A minor as same notes as C Major starting on different root. Maybe need to think Dorian more often.

      @andyhuckleberrywilliamsoni3873 5 месяцев назад +2

      I came to the same conclusion after Jamie Aebersold's first volume uses only the Dorian scale in the first lesson to teach how to improvise

      The Dorian is definitely one to keep in mind 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷

      It’s a good one to learn as it comes up in 2 5 1’s such a lot 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷

    Would you mind clearifying the difference between the A minor as the 2nd mode of G Major and A minor as the relative of the C Major.
    When do you use one over the other?
    Why did you use the G Major rather than the C Major?
    Thank you

    • @lyndenblades
      @lyndenblades  5 месяцев назад

      There’s just one note difference between the two scales and both will usually fit the same situation, although if one sounds better then use that. The only note that changes is the 6th which isn’t a chord tone. The enclosure would work with either scale though. Does this help? 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷

      Thank you for your explanation 👍
      Actually, the A minor as the relative of C Major or the A minor as the 2nd degree of G Major have the same chord notes: A C E G ?
