@@ElizaFroot Clara is Jessica's caregiver. She helps Jessica in her day to day activities and helps look after her when Claudia is working. Clara is the admin on the chats whenever they go live and such. She helps with filming and moderating of the channel here along with being a "Jane of all trades" for anything Jessica requires assistance with. Jessica has good days and bad days with her health...significant swings at times and bless her, Clara runs damage control and looks out for her. Claudia is Jessica's wife, Clara is the caregiver and one of Jessica's besties. They used to work together but then Jessica took her on as carer in addition. Anyway..they're a team of 3. Clara has a life and wife of her own but Jessica is her employer essentially (or the UK NHS is really). Clara does a lot of behind the scenes work on Jessica's channel but her and her wife also have a channel of their own. Hope that clarifies in case you are a newbie here. A small guess for the uneven baking is that that side of the oven is currently exposed to cool air, where as the other side still has a cupboard next to it, giving a slight difference in temperature. At least, that's my guess based on the video - just rotate the pan half way through by 180°

I'm 32 and I feel like an adult about 20% of the time. Like when I have to make really big business decisions or I meal prep like a boss. The rest of the time I 100% feel like I'm making it up. The big advantage of adulthood for me is that slowly but surely I've built a wardrobe I actually like with quality pieces without spending a fortune at once - it adds up over the years if your size stays consistent. Oh yea, I also bought a couch. Like not from a random person or out of a dumpster. That made me feel like an adult.

Bless your heart (yeah I'm from Tennessee in the Southern States), girl, you always ALWAYS know how to make the best of a messy situation no matter what it may be...even if you're talking through gritted teeth AND look adorable and put together whilst doing so. I know the stress of quarantine is getting to us all at this point but I cannot possibly imagine dealing with the added chaos of trying to manage life in a building site that you can't literally escape entirely. Hats off to you to holding it together lol. As for bananas...I'm same exact way...rarely ever eat them without cooking them in something from southern banana pudding to muffins to bread. Whatever works but I don't like them "just raw" for whatever reason. Makes no real sense but there it is nevertheless. I was surprised to see it was still cold there. England has had some quite strange weather recently according to my other UK based friends. Thanks for the vid doll, I was having Jessica withdrawals and needed your little mini dose of sunshine. Please give my love to Miss Claudia (in the South here, everyone married or not is Miss+ First Name unless you're basically 100) and the furbabies as well. I hope the building progresses soon so you can get back to some form of normal life...of any kind. Hang in there lovely ladies

My mom used to do her canning and cooking on the fire pit because we lived in a shed. The lights were powered by a generator, and the toilet was a large bucket with a toilet seat on it. Luckily I was much too little for the job of emptying that... we'd also wash our hands in a bowl of lukewarm water. And the bathtub was a large metal bucket, and the water was heated up in pots, either on the stove, the oil furnace, or even the fire pit. The furniture was used as walls... then they bought an old mobile home and I got my own room... I was so excited, the first night, to sleep in my own room on a mattress on the floor. And before al that we lived in a bus. But not the tiny home versions you see on youtube. It was literally just a bus with everything but the drivers seat torn out.

I really enjoy you creating baking videos. Fun fact, I found a hack thanks to my other half about peeling bananas. Instead of peeling from the stem of the banana, you peel it from the root end (bottom)...I put this in here because I am having issues with B12 deficiency short term memory issues). Keep being the diva that you are.😎😎😎

Jessica may be convinced we didn't learn anything, but I now know that banana muffins are made by first mixing the wet, and the dry ingredients separately. Also, that you can just put your bananas in the mixer instead of squishing them by hand.

Please do make that jacket. Your baking perseverance is most laudable! Also, I’m on my mid-30s and, this far, I’m finding that the idea of “becoming an adult” is a total myth.

Jessica baking on the floor really hurt my brain, bc as soon as she sat down her pose kept reminding me of the servant in every period film who has to scrub the floors 😂

I am amazed you could make those without measuring and in a building site. Your baking muscle memory is impressive.

So I cobbled together a tasty batch of tollhouse cookies in a friend’s parents’ caravan, though I only had a bowl, a spoon, and a pizza crisper pan thing. If I’d known I’d be baking, I would’ve brought supplies, but the sort of sprung it on me. Shockingly, they turned out AMAZING and did not seep down thru the holes in the pizza crisper thing.

Honestly I reached 30 and still felt like I was in my early 20s and believed I would always feel like I was pretending to be a 'real adult'. Then one day when I was 31 (I am now 32), I felt like an adult and that I wasn't pretending anymore (I honestly can't explain it better than that). It made me feel kinda relieved but otherwise has made absolutely no difference to how I live my life (although I don't second guess myself as much, but I think that comes more from practice).

This video is the relatable content I need right now. The message of this video has been my life for 3 years. Still not got a full kitchen but I at least have cupboards and running water now.

You've done it now, Jess. I keep rolling the idea of a 60+ year old perspective channel like you suggested, (and definitely not the stuffy sort) so it shall become. I just keep looking at you, and Stevie, and Jaime, and Shaaba, and all my favorite Tubers and I don't have the lights, I don't have the pretty behind me, editing frankly scares the hell out of me, and all the things I know in my head that it took you a while to accumulate and learn. And then I go on watching you all and not doing my own. I'll let you know when I am ready.

Our kitchen reno overlapped Easter one year... my whole "kitchen" consisted of a kettle, electric frying pan, toaster, and a microwave. Boiled eggs in an electric kettle actually worked surprisingly well!

I really would not have thought that it looks so chaotic at your home, but the main thing in the video is to make the best of it and think positively and wonderful muffins.
    😉
For next time it would be an idea to mix things on the terrace when the weather is good and not on the floor with so little space.
