Thank u ladies for this show but I think we need to have guys on this gender based violence
Ms Zaitun prophesied over Rachel...
Hy bumplove how do I get to your dm
I work for the UN and we are always exlporing platforms to create awareness on our programmes , most often we host workshops or print materials, I’ve realized playforms such as bumplove are a great modern way of creating awareness. This is a disruptive and innovative way of collaboration between traditional institutions with digital content. I enjoyed the episode provided by USAID the other day. My ladies, this is great work! Next host topics on malaria , malnutrition in children, gig economy, innovation etc , well done to the geustspeaker.
Bambi. Just tell UN to come and sponsor us for content breaking shows.. Suggest topics with your chest 😂
I am praying that this gets more likes
Eh I wish you knew how commandant is this show💪
we aren't the same since bumplove👌
@@janephernsozisambaga2753😂😂😂 I thought you were going to say, I'm praying for Pumla

Zaitun got vibes banangeee 😍😍😂😹 she’s a muganda version of Miria Matembe….. btw as we’re still in the activism please bring us Matembe
To me in simple terms i would say educate agirl child and empower her. It will reduce the GBV by atleast 50%. i believe
Thank you Bump love...please can you include topic on narcissism in marriages and relationships.
Thanks Bump Love Ladies for always making awareness over things we usually fear to air out
You making us strong and stronger teri kuddamu kunyigira mwana wa muntu munkukutu atleast Kati tulina awokutandikira
This episode reminded me of my beloved father..when handing us over at the introduction ceremonies he always says 'muwala wange mukuwadde mubulungi tokuba tobonyabonya,am not like other parents that burn daughters beds, ekitanda kye wano kisigala wo era wekiri'❤ thankyou ladies for such an informative episode
My father said the same ❤
Zaituni thanks for educating me. I had alot to learn, unlearn and relearn when it came to forms of violence.
Cheers to our smart bump love ladies.
This video has to be shared enough is enough
Naye Mannuela..naanti ekikulu we are still in work places 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂I love zaitun. When she said nali clear, I died 😂😂😂
Me too🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Unfortunately what you’re saying is right but society has been conditioned and formulated for and by men to lead. You only forgot that around the globe all National constitutions are laid by men. Laws are made by men and not women. Mostly Men propose and not women. Abakulu bebika basajja sibakazi. Children belong to men’s clan by default unless the mother is unsure of where they belong or who’s actually responsible for their children. Cooking, looking after children are basically related after all men don’t be pregnant. Name it. There’s a lot to think about and there’s a lot that’s impossible to change but can be amended to accommodate gender equality. As a woman who has lived both in and outside Uganda, I feel that ignorance, bullying, financial dependence, lack of training self esteem when children grow, culture and religion have and will continue to shape gender roles and or influence what women do and how we’re treated by society. Even women themselves believe men should be in power. Thank you so much for the talk and I hope my submission makes any sense.
I got 30 minutes to fear men😂😂 before I started watching this episode as a single 20fine year old, I'm here to appreciate bump love honestly I wouldn't be this informed if it weren't for this channel.
One can never overstate the influence of norms and culture on GBV. I used to work for a Norwegian crisis center which dealt witn cases of GBV, and almost 90% of the cases were from African and Arab immigrants! It was clear that cultural norms and religious beliefs had alot to do with it.
So, many thanks to the guest for clearly atticulating and bringing awareness around the correlation there. So grateful for you all hosts of Bump Love. You're doing an invaluable job.
Loved this episode..Zaituni was so interesting to listen to.. Indeed emotional abuse is so bad because it's harder to even realise it's happening
Wow Rachel..best summary writer👏👏👏
Awww thanks bump love, i love Zaitun she is so eloquent👌
zaitun i love you, come back again please, have learnt way soo much, kuddos
In my opinion as we strive on making this better, equal awareness should be emphasised on the boy child as well.Coz one shall not raise their girls well as manuela quoted and sends them out to men who are literally ignorant about the dynamics.
The roots have to be uprooted by providing necessary information to the male as well.
Hehehehe I love zaitun so much!!!
Yah. ...Zaituni we watching you.😂😂😂😂😂
Yippee didn't miss this one, this campaign should have more days.Y'all looking gorgeous
All I can say Bump love has taught me alot but among it has taught me to be an "INTENTIONAL MOM" my dear this may look small to others but ever since I choose to do better I see🤔🤔Thank u ladies
In my Opinion (I beg you not to come for me): Kneeling has a lot to do with undermining women and girls primarily.
Ladies leero muyitiridde today's topic was woooooow .Watching from Massachusetts, Boston. Thnx so much for the good ideas.
I love this conversation how I wish my country people in Kenya 🇰🇪 could listen to this
I'm 48 seconds in and I thought for a split second that Rosette was going to say 'Gender reaffirming therapist' 😅 I was prepared for this to be the most controversial Bump Love Episode ever🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
Lol😂
Great show, as always. How do we send a private note. Please share an email or your preferred way of us reaching you.
So bump love has graced us with another episode, thanks alot❤❤
Religion does not give men power. [Read James 1:27] Society does. The root cause is power and control, which is very present in every relationship. The very giving of gifts that seem so innocuous is an element of power and control. The root cause is that humans have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. God admonishes men to love and care for their wives as Christ loves the church. Christ does not abuse the church.
Thank you ladies for this one. Imagine being here feeling really smart and then we find out we have all abused and have been abused unknowingly and knowingly. I will never be quiet when it comes to violence, I will do my part and then the choice is yours. I am sorry to everyone who has had to endure violence. Power is good but its misuse is the issue.
It seems everyone has experienced gender based violence in one way or another so let's work together to fight this thanks to you ladies for always giving us an opportunity to learn 👏👏👏
My say on why most women go back even after being beaten i think it’s coz women our love is more of emotions. We’re meant to be taken care of, loved and pampered which at times land is in troubles. We get so much attached and forget ourselves that you feel you can’t live without that sheep buh hun i promise you, you can thrive without one mistreating you. Women let’s learn self love banange, moment you learn it eeeh that man won’t have all that much power over you coz he really knows you ain’t settling for no sense.
The MUA changed. Why?
Advice is a proposal, not an instruction. you decide what you do with it
I envy Zaitun's daughters inlaw. imagine having a mother inlaw that wise
I witnessed GBV at some point in my life, there's this statement men always use to make their wives leave work, " I am able to take care of you and the kinds, no need to stress. Just sit home and take care of the kids." Then poor woman stops working only for the man to start the violence in the name of you're because of my money 😢😢
Thank you so much bump love, this is educative
I request that next time you teach us about feminism in marriage
Thank you
I really enjoyed this lady, she was so articulate and informed. She gave me a paradigm shift. Great didactic episode Bump Love!
P.S I want to know what Pumla and Rachel were whispering about haha.
Hahahaha!
What a beautiful week, yaaaay🎉🎉 two episodes 😅thank you bump 💕💕
Thanks bump love the show was much more informative
I have a campaign that's coming up early next week
You dont know how you have equipped me thanks so much to zaitun i have learnt alot

Banange this week thnxs for surprising us again
I have never knelt for my father. I will never kneel for any man.
Me I will be here forever😅....thanks ladies😊😊hugs🫂🫂
You are the best ladies, thanks for such topics am sure many are learning, bigup all of you a special hello to KEMI ANGIE
Zaituni ali bulala😮😮😮there is power in every word that comes out of her mouth
Please Madam Zaitun is such a vibe!🤣🤣🤣🤣 Such a good episode. For sure enough is enough!
Racheal is hot today❤
What hurts me most is that even our so called sisters in law who are women attribute to our suffering by trying to poke their nose in our marriages by putting negativity in our husbands yet for them they are peaceful on their marriage. They don't know that is domestic violence.
Even thinking that you are paying to have someones daughter is violence.
OMG thanks Bump love for bringing the guests. I literally sat on yhe edge of my chair to listen to this informative conversation..Great job ladies🙏🏽
For sure gender based violence is a lot😢
Thank you Bump love for these two knowledgeable episodes in one week. May God Bless You ladies.🙏
Wabule most of us have faced or caused violence unknowingly. Thank you great ladies for educating us
Power dynamics also change depending in the situation. Some children have power over their elderly parents because they support them. Money can change that dynamic, unfortunately.
Reminds me of the story of Joseph and his brothers and shift in power dynamic. The only difference is that he did not misuse his power. He instead used it as a blessing. Lord, teach me to be like Joseph.
Power dynamics are never constant by the way, sometimes and some areas women have more power over men
@@swaimahcerlyx5076True, true.
I run Kaka Amua Initiative CBO in Busia County and would really wish to get in touch with Power To Youth . Our mandate is to Nurture Adolescent Boys and Young Men bridging gaps and disconnects created by absence of Positive Role Models .
This was such a meaningful engagement. Very simplified and insightful.
GBV has never been easy to unpack like Zaituni did.
Power!

Nabachwa thank you for representing. Am also of the same clan.
Great show as always.. but I request when you talk in vernacular please provide translated subtitles.... You are international you know
For sure. We always try to do better
Agree with Pumla about mental illness being used as an excuse...it even adds more stigma to people with mental health challenges...it's all about power dynamics
Wow thanks again for yet another informative and educative conversation about GBV. Thanks to the guests for sharing with us 🙏🙏
Hi bump lovers about emotional violence me I have a sister she has been married for over 20yrs but her husband can go to "olusirika" for a whole year without talking to her even when she finds him talking to the kids he keeps quite I see that it has affected her mentally and even her kids because now they are old they are seeing what their mother is going through and we have no way of helping her. So how should we do to help in this situation
😢
Banange. People.just need to be more mature. How do you not talk to someone you love?😊
This' mental torture..a whole year..she's traumatised and in deep deoression
I can't believe I have had to fight on my own, in my home/marriage, such that I break some of this misuse of power, power misuse hiden in the norms, pressure from society, in order to have some harmony in my marriage. Imagine if all of us got to do better😮😮the whole society will be clear❤
Had to come back and say thank you for another lovely and informative episode. Both guests are doing great and commendable work. I'm Bible-believer myself and appreciate the pragmatism in recognizing the power that men have been given by God, but also the responsibility they have to use it wisely and productively. Women have their own unique influence and power as well. But banange, Zaituni and her curveballs. 🤣
The combination of Pumla , Manuela and Zaitun 🔥🔥🔥🔥Ladies you make me happy
Thank you bump love for enlighting us this is a good source of information for us. There is also financial abuse which most women dont know they are facing. This narrative of power dynamics needs to change
I was today years old when i understood violence
Bump love....knows how to pock quest speakers.....loved Zaitun alot.....very eloquent yet extremely funny.....kept me glued.....
I have loved the power relationship to GBV
Thank you ladies for the episode. It has reminded me of some violence that's not sexually based but denial of girls education in the name of girls shouldn't go anywhere beyond a certain class or level of improvement. So sometimes that violence comes from relatives that sell them off for marriage including women. Then also don't we have room for improvement. For behavioral change for the men and for the women. Apart from leaving options, maybe we should have organisations talking to the men about how to treat mother's, women, children better. We do appreciate this effort put in to the advocacy in these 16 days. You outdid yourselves.
Gosh. She's brilliant 🎉🎉
Zaituni and Joyce thank you for educating me with all that knowledge, thank you bump love
I wish you guys had English Subtitles....woieee.....for your international audience.
Parental violence …💯💯💯
Banange you are leaving out hospitals those people abuse their power! And it's both from private and public ones!
One cannot Confide in them for anything, they're arrogant, rude and kwegamba you leave their places already broken. 🤦♀
Work Place MY God!!!!!
Today Rachael is extremely looking good

I worked with Zaituni at STF
Zaituni was an excellent choice of guest. Very eloquent& clearly unpacked Gender & the rootcauses of GBV (power& power norms)
Thanks for the shows. I suggest one day u also discuss about GBV against men. Especially married men because I think they also suffer in silence. Thanks
Waaaw, Zaituni is a whole vibe.
OMG, workplace workplace workplace, only God knows
Thank you bump love. This was an informative episode.l am watching from Zimbabwe and l have realised that our patriarchal society needs a shift to stop GBV.Lets change the narrative
An awareness session of GBV. Thank you for another educative session...
I hope Angie is okay. Miss seeing her again on set!
Hey Pumla, Im enjoying the new you..
The Bump Love ladies have done it again!, thank you ladies kudos to the guest speaker Zaitun for the insights and well elaborated ways of GBV. I hope our brothers from the west are listening in(not to point a finger) but these men have no regard for women at all but again like the ladies pointed out, information and teachings should be put out their even to the most remote areas of our countries and yes working with church leaders can be very effective. With love from kigali.
Bambi guy behind the camera. I just love the way am educated and informed now aboy GBV. I walk with my head high coz no one can step on me now. Thank you so much bump love🙏
*about*
knowledge on GBV was much needed, thank you so much for this educative show.
But there's nothing wrong with societies having norms that dictate their conduct. There's no race or society without norms.
We should uphold the good in culture and denigrate the bad, but not throw out everything or blanketly label society as bad!!!
Basically we should not throw away the baby with the birth water. Rather analyse the toxic power dynamics.
Eyes 👀 opened, people go through alot.I salute those who take care of people around them.be it a sister, brother, child, friends, relatives and any human being around you.lets stop GBV.🕺🕺🕺💃💃💃We all deserve to be happy.
Thank you Bump love
The guest has been the best ,,,, we love you Zaituni
