It makes me smile to see your pets each morning!! They are so cute!!
Fresh peas! Nothing like it!! 🫛 So healthy and delicious! Well done on such an amazing crop! Yummy risotto, thanks for the recipe!
Looks like you have some more successful crops coming soon. Glad to hear the rabbits are keeping away. If you dig in weeds, I’d worry they might be carrying seeds which would contribute to the cycle. So my thought would be the veggie scraps are great for soil improvement, but not the grasses/weeds.
Love your outfit if the day, very comfy and breathable.
What a great collection of skincare minis from your advent calendar! 👍🏼

Hi Deborah, watching you shelling the peas brought back childhood memories ❤ I used to help my darling nan do this when I was a kid 😊
    Your risotto looks delicious!
Sorry, I don’t have any advice about your garden lol gardening isn’t really my thing 😆

Hi darling Deborah. Watching you peel those peas took me back to my childhood. Mum would ask us to shell the peas but we ate more than we should have. I absolutely love them. We just planted peas and catnip which I'm sure Ra will love. I can't give much advice on gardening because I'm hopeless at it. See you tomorrow lovely Deborah 😍 😘❤❤ xx

LOL you can tell I'm a frozen peas gal 😆 I butchered those peels 😖
I've planted catnip too but my cats have completely ignored it 😆😆
Take care lovely good night 😚😚

Hi Deborah. I just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying all of your videos, particularly your blogmas ones ☺️. Thank you for taking the time to do them for us as it's so refreshing to see an Australian based video that makes it so relatable especially as a more mature woman who loves fashion and shopping.
Also you had asked if anyone had any ideas for you for future video content so if you dont mind I have a few I'd like to suggest.
After seeing you make your Napoli sauce I was wondering if you could do some more recipe and cooking videos please. I'm always on the hunt for these types of easy, healthy, tasty ideas to cook at home, especially ones I can then pop in the freezer to have on hand.
Also could you do one that takes us through your kitchen and show us all the things you find really useful to have in regards to preparing your meals. Pots and pans, utensils and gadgets that really do make your cooking life easier. Kmart or not I'd like to see them and know where to purchase them from.
And last but not least, what else have you bought for your home that you find indespencible? Gadgets, bathroom items etc that would help people in their own home.
Oh and perhaps a shop your closet type of video where you show us how you make the most out of all your fashion finds.
    Anyways, have a lovely Christmas.
    Regards, Janine

Hi Janine! ☺️ Thank you so much for your lovely message-I’m thrilled you’re enjoying the Blogmas videos and finding them relatable. It means a lot to hear that!
Great suggestions for future content! I love the idea of diving deeper into cooking videos, especially those easy, healthy recipes that are perfect for freezing. I’ll definitely plan more of those. A kitchen tour showcasing my essential pots, pans, and gadgets sounds like a fun video too-I can show you what tools make my cooking life easier.
Exploring indispensable home and bathroom items is a wonderful idea, and a 'shop your closet' video could be really fun to help maximize our fashion finds!
Thanks for all the fantastic ideas, and have a lovely Christmas too!
      Warm regards, Deborah

Thank you so much Polly, it really was 😋 The garden does take a fair bit of work though. I was watering the trees today as it got so hot here in Melbourne and I noticed so many weeds that needed to be pulled out, it's a never ending task 😆

Crikey that would have been very hot and dry, I went to Adelaide one summer and I found the heat so dry there unlike the heat in Melbourne which is quite humid at times.

Hi Jillian, thank you for your kind words! Fresh produce does make a difference, doesn't it? I feel very fortunate to have access to such fresh ingredients. Perhaps there might be local farmers' markets or community gardens near you where you could find similarly fresh food. It's amazing how much fresher and more flavorful these options are compared to what's available in many stores. Here's to healthier and tastier meals for all of us! 😚😚

    Dear Deborah,
Just wanted to say how much I’m enjoying your Christmas vlogs - they are absolutely delightful! What a wonderful idea to create an Advent series. Kudos to you for such a thoughtful and creative approach.
It’s so generous of you to ask for viewer suggestions, so I thought I’d share a few ideas. Of course, no pressure at all - just some thoughts that might be of interest. Looking forward to all your upcoming videos and can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned!
First off, congratulations on celebrating 33 years - you and Kevin make such a fantastic couple! Really looking forward to hearing more about your preparations for your Europe trip. It sounds like it’s going to be an amazing adventure.
I’ve really enjoyed your vlogs that showcase life in Melbourne. Your shopping tips, store recommendations, and cooking videos are such a great source of inspiration. If I may suggest, it would be wonderful to hear more about your housekeeping routine - perhaps something around how you maintain a sparkling home on a weekly, quarterly, or yearly basis. I’m sure many viewers (myself included!) would love to learn more.
I’m also considering bringing a pet into my home soon, and have loved seeing how much you adore your pets. If it’s not too much trouble, could you perhaps share a bit more about your daily care routine for your pets? Things like their schedule, how you manage costs, and any other advice you’d be willing to share would be so helpful.
Lastly, if it’s something you’d be willing to explore, I’d love to hear your thoughts on furniture and interior decorating. You’ve created such a warm, welcoming space, and I think your recommendations on home furnishings and brands would be invaluable for anyone looking to make their own home feel as lovely as yours.
Thanks so much for considering these ideas, and again, I really appreciate the time and energy you put into your videos. Keep up the wonderful work, and can’t wait to see what’s coming next!

Celebrating 33 years with Kevin has been wonderful, and I'm excited to share more about our Europe trip preparations soon. Great idea about including more on my housekeeping routines and pet care-I'll definitely consider these for future videos. I do have some cleaning videos already on my channel here's a recent one for you to enjoy - ruclips.net/video/HvF4FLxfSRc/видео.html
Also, I appreciate your interest in hearing about furniture and interior decorating. I’ll try to incorporate some tips and recommendations in an upcoming vlog. Thanks again for your support and for being such an engaged part of our community! 😚😚

Put clothes pegs on your netting . All sorts of seeds can blow in your veggie garden , you will get all sorts of things growing in your compost. Worst things are pumpkin seeds and potatoes. I put them in my organic bin . 🐨💗

Ahh, thanks Karen. Is that plant with the big leaves a potato plant? I was also thinking it may have been eggplant cause I planted those seeds too. I'm thinking it'll be fun to just water everything and see what grows, though anything underground would obviously be a mystery 😅

  • @debbiecagliarini4421
    @debbiecagliarini4421 Месяц назад +1

The first one you didn't know was potato, the rest were tomatoes and next to the tomatoes was a zuccini. Can I suggest you do a little bit or research on compost as there are things that need to be added to make it effective. I am worried just digging the scraps in you are going to end up with rats and mice.

    • @Deborahafter50
      @Deborahafter50  Месяц назад +2

Hi @debbiecagliarini4421, thank you for your thoughtful suggestion and for pointing out the plants! I appreciate your concern about composting correctly. To clarify, I am only adding eggshells and not including any meat or dairy scraps in the soil to avoid attracting any unwanted visitors like rats or mice. I'm always open to learning more and improving, so I'll definitely keep researching effective composting methods. Thanks again for your input! 😊😚😚
