I love how when the priest comes to bully Jesus and the blind man, Jesus puts his hand on the blind man's head as if he is protecting his child. It makes you think of when Satan comes to bully us and mock us and give us doubt, our Lord is there with his hand on our head....protecting us.

Robert Powell played along side Jasper Carrot in The Detectives. One of the best comedies on UK TV. Jasper a comedian, was asked how he felt about working alongside such a great classical actor, I feel a bit guilty, He was Jesus Christ once but now I brought him down to my level.

I KNOW, they were disgusting. They were trying to publicly discredit Jesus and the blind man, whom everyone knew was blind. Jesus was so fierce and fearless confronting the high priest. Jesus just performed a miracle with the Holy Spirit right in the temple under their very noses and they were completely blind to it.
I used to watch this on vhs with my siblings in the 80's.This is one of my favorite parts in the movie. It always moves me to see how Jesus strokes the blind man's head ( 6:11). I thought it was interesting how the blind man said 'Leave my eyes alone. I don't want you to touch my eyes, you are hurting me'. It kind of sounded like he wanted to live in darkness (physical darkness is what I am referring to) because that is all he knew, but when he truly saw it was completely amazing and would never go back to his old life. It's kind of like that with sin. We want to stay in spiritual darkness because we are sinful and it's all we know, until we accept what Christ is trying to tell and show us. After that why would we want to go back to the awfulness and darkness of sin?

I have read that biblical scriptures,but i find it hard to believe that God would not forgive someone. What if they were not in their right mind when they spoke those worlds. Again i respect your opinion as well,but we need to look at the holy scriptures in a different light.
God in his word makes it clear. When someone commits an unforgivable sin they will not want to repent..no repentance=no forgiveness. Very simple.The Holy Spirit convicts our hearts of sin. But if someone rejects the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness. How can they? They don't even believe they are a sinner.

I'm glad that my eyes are finally opened after all these years (spiritually).. i'm also grateful that i was born healthy. people, including myself, take our healthy bodies for granted but they were given to us by God. Even if you are not healthy, i'm sure there's reasons for that as well. There's so much to be grateful for. I love it.

Little story about Robert Powell here. He is a family friend, my late nan was great friends with his wife Babs.. He was agnostic leading into Zefferelli offering him the part of Christ. He was never made Christian by the film but he did say that he felt a great presence in the making of the series.. Robert is a thoroughly lovely man.. My faith is strengthened in recent years... i hope that jesus knows my true heart xx

I'm glad that my eyes are finally opened after all these years (spiritually).. i'm also grateful that i was born healthy. people, including myself, take our healthy bodies for granted but they were given to us by God. Even if you are not healthy, i'm sure there's reasons for that as well. There's so much to be grateful for. I love it.

Little story about Robert Powell here. He is a family friend, my late nan was great friends with his wife Babs..
He was agnostic leading into Zefferelli offering him the part of Christ.
He was never made Christian by the film but he did say that he felt a great presence in the making of the series..
Robert is a thoroughly lovely man..
My faith is strengthened in recent years... i hope that jesus knows my true heart xx
