Sometimes you can tell when opponents are going to score.. the defenders run away from the ball and let them run through. Players get slower.

The sad reality is the entire game is scripted.
The amount of times where my defenders will literally run out of position to give the opponent an easy chance at goal is insane to me.

When you keep winning, your defenders start losing close encounters, the ball pass through them easily, sluggish passes and every pass or encounter u make goes straight back to the opponent. Keepers can't catch or save easy goals and for some weird reason there are open gaps in between your defenders and the opponent just always go through easily. And to top it all, your defenders can never catch up with your opponent but for some weird reason, their defenders can catch up with your forwards.
Went 9-1 in Weekend league. Then lost 9 straight. My players stopped getting open, they stopped making simple passes. They’re all slow and sluggish. My defenders are non existent. Played my first fut qualifier. Won 2-0 and my keeper saved everything my opponent shot. Fifa summed up. 5 shots into the right, 5 saves.
It hurts my brain when I’m taking the ball with someone that has 90+ speed then Busquet with his -30 pace catches me from 10 yards behind
@@rasta6713 this has happened to me twice this year. This last weekend league I was 10-0 and suddenly I lost the other 10 games in a row. My defenders were giving out passes even though I was trying to pass the ball to completely someone else that was wide open.

Going from Career Mode to Ultimate Team you can feel an incredible difference in gameplay. It's actually so infuriating because the players become sluggish, AI are extremely difficult to get the ball off, if they want to score, they do! I literally seen a 35 yard freekick go in.. Alt F4'd

BRO. So I play on World Class and in career mode I win most of my matches if not all. In FUT there’s certain games where I’m shooting 20+ times at goal and seem to still somehow lose. One on one situations that I usually make all of a sudden my 94 rated Messi can’t fucking get the ball behind the net. It’s ridiculous. It’s frustrating….
@@killercroc9138 And the enemys keepers are fucking christ reincarnated somehow? Every shot I take with power and clear sight to the goal, the keeper just blocks it. I get 6 shots a match and only one of them score most of the time.
I don’t play FUT anymore for a long time because I hate it but, career is also scripted AF indeed. But the AI isn’t as intelligent as a good player

One time I played a guy and he was bad at the game so he paused the game (and he obviously passed on the controller to his brother or someone who was a god at the game) this guy tried sooo hard to score a goal and he never could. He was sooo good. He just couldn’t. That’s how messed up this game is.

U try to use ur full potential, or try to use ur player's full advantage, but the game's scripting ruins it all , hence helping the opponent win . Opponents even are able to score a hattrick at the last minute, while my goalkeeper behaves like a beginner learning to save a goal . And when one of the opponent's players find an open opportunity to score a goal , while my player just behind him ,
My player just can't stop or tackle him out , no matter if my players have 129 pac and the opponent has only 65 .
The algo kicks In hard after back to back defeats
The fun part about the game is, i get matched with someone that scores out of a ball that got rebounded 6 times in a row in his feet. he proceeds to pause 3 times in a row for max time in order to make me quit. i then stomp him 3-1 and in the last 10 minutes this guy scores 2 goals because defenders just stopped defending. really rewarding game.
I've been playing FIFA since 96 was released. Not so much since 2012, I have some friends who enjoy it and we have gaming nights sometimes. But ever since I figured out (roughly) how the game engine works I enjoy it less and less.
In short: scripting as most of you believe doesn't exist. It's the whole game engine that is rigged. There is no real physics in the game, what you see is just a puppet show to get the desired outcome.
To elaborate it further: every event, every touch of the ball, and every outcome in the game is determined before it plays out. Your input, your opponents input and other factors are measured and the game decides what the outcome will be. Players can only influence the chance of getting the desired action, it's never guaranteed no matter how good you are. There are thousands of events like this per game, and all of them are managed by an overarching gamelogic. This gamelogic shifts the balance (or momentum) from one side to the other, even to the extremes (to make goals happen) on a whim by adding modifiers to these separate calculations. This means that the game actively sabotages players most of the time to create "thrilling scenarios", where one player might go up front 2-0 just to suddenly lose all traction and finaly get defeated 2-3 by a 90th minute screamer.
What you see on the screen is the game engine stitching character movement and animations together to get to the end result. It roughly knows which animation to choose to get a touch on the ball and make it seem plausible, and also adjusts the animation if needed to (like the keeper's hands being pulled back to let the ball pass, or a striker's foot moving in an odd fashion). That's why the ball goes through a player's body, or the contrary (the keeper saves without a touch). If the game decided that someone must score a dramatic goal it will probably happen - if you are not trying to lose on purpose. This applies to all parts of the game, like tackles going back to an opponent to pile on the pressure, or one player hitting the bar two times just to concede right afterwards. The game also actively creates chances for your opponents if it has to.
These patterns are all there and if you play enough you'll see the signs clearly. The whole match engine was built on these principals though and it's a really-really well designed system which gets finetuned as time passes. This also means that players are scammed by EA Sports.
And why? Well, because of FUT, which is in principal designed to cause an addiction akin to gambling in a casino. EA Sports needs the game to be in total control, otherwise the result of games can get out of hand and cause good players (a small % of all players) to beat bad players (casuals) all the time. And if a player only loses they'll also lose interest. They need a win from time to time, don't they? "Hey, you! Did you lose 3 games in a row? Buy this card pack, MAYBE you'll be lucky and be able to beat the next opponent".
FIFA is a gambling game.
This is all true, but there are definitely script templates. Until recently I was playing F17 career on legendary, averaging 4-5 nil every game. It's obvious when you dominate possession and have 15 shots on goal a game, the cpu has no choice but to enact a template to attempt to balance the game because adjusting the sliders and %rng isn't working.
Two classic examples are the 20 pass pointless tiki-taka in an attempt to draw your players out of position by frustration, and the one where it's no touch pinball passing that is impossible to intercept ending with a ridiculous long range shot.. even if the team has no decent long shot players, it still rushes to have that shot.
this is just another way to describe scripting in long. 😂The point is the outcome is predetermined and controlled by EA
I only play offline and tho it’s not exactly as you described there are some things in common but happens like in some matches.
For example if I’ve won 3 matches in a row the fourth match suddenly feels like playing 2010 Spain, defending is almost impossible.
Also the ball sometimes just deviates its trajectory to end up being a goal or viceversa.
EA doesn’t want you to always win, cause winning all also makes you lose interest in the game.
Shifting gameplay from one side to the other is exactly what scripting is. Those modifiers are calculated based off of in-game events. Therefore the game is deciding not only what it wants to happen, but also what it does *not* want to happen.
That is what scripting is and it’s coded into the game.

The worst for me, is when your team feels heavy and it feels like you can't turn, move, pass, etc. It feels like a delay but it's not the connection (because I have the best internet fibre and it's not jittering or lagging) it's just extremely slow and lethargic gameplay - further the opposition is much, much faster, they closes you down, smother you, intercept EVERYTHING and you cant get out your half and you can't dribble, you can't pass it's horrendously bad, despite you having 'constant pressure" or "pressure on heavy touch" you just can't get near them and the gaps between your defenders and their attackers is huge. Its so obvious, that there's some type of AI interfering, some sort of algorithm happening, disadvantaging you. You can't play a game with the same team before, same line up same tactics, same instruction and it run smooth and play fine for it to be so obvious the next.
Yeah and fifa defenders will say its your connection or your ping or the servers or whatever ... But I mostly only play carreer and even there if you win like 5 or 6 games in a row this happens players feel stuck in the mud / cant turn / cant pass and will just leave their position no matter the instructions
I play offline and the most infuriating thing is when you are just about to shoot and score because the keeper is out of position, your player never shoots due to an input lag. When your opponent takes the ball away, then your player executes the shot but just kicks air.

I get what you mean. I rarely have lag issues etc but my players play like I’m on a laggy server when I’m not.
Its actually a disgusting game. It doesn't matter how good you play. The game mechanics will always adjust things to help your opponent

Not only that but those easy players who are helped after scoring a third goal they start greeding and juggling the ball in near their goalkeeper they push on all your buttons knowing that you have a better team and you play better , they make sure you’re perfectly frustrated like it’s their merit , while deep inside you know that if the game was fair you would win that player and with a large score as well !
Like for God sake how could Cristiano Ronaldo 86 with 77 speed and 74 physicality can take off in front Cannavaro with 91 speed and 94 physicality and Cannavaro couldn’t catch up ??? Like how could this happen ??? He run from the midfield to my keeper and he scored ??? Seriously ????

In a way, I have to thank FIFA for scripting. After enough of this absolute garbage, I stopped gaming and my life became significantly better thank God.

Haven't played rivals for the last two seasons so I ended up in division 7.After packing toty Benzema I decided to give it another go.I won every match easily but after 3 or 4 goals I would start hitting the post from easy situations 3 or 4 times a game,my 99 players getting outpaced by 70 pace defenders,and opponents actually scoring against me after multiple rebounds.Ginola would get 3+plus bounce backs per situation until reaching the box.Every iteration is designed to nullify the skill gap as much as possible and to get players to buy packs.
Dude I swear if I’m winning longer than 30 min in game time my defenders reactions and interceptions drop 50%

I had to delete this game from my ps5 yesterday. Although scripting has been obvious since i started playing. For some reason every time the new seasons reset I can’t win a single game and just face like crazy opponents thats get favored in every way.. this has been going on for at least the past three years and honestly yesterday it just felt so easy to delete the app even with untradeable wc owairan, cole, marchisio, also had zidane, jairzinho, maldinin and Lucio.. even that team didn’t help me keep the stupid game.
Not even a team full of TOTYs will help you win against an all Gold Team if EA wants you to lose.

the one where walker loses the ball is 99% scripted. Passes activate on the next touch in 23, so the commentators actually said it right after the input, not after the ball, making it even more suspicious and likely that it is scripted

Why don’t we all just sue? This is a scam. Even if I win a game, it really doesn’t feel like I deserve it. Cuz I know that my opponent is having a «scripted game».
A few years back there were some guys who took it to court. They were invited to EA Headquarters to see their Dev Team and they dropped the charges. Either they showed them that there is absolutely no way they can prove it exists in the game code and as such would be destined to lose a very expensive legal action or they paid them off for silence.
He says, after clicking ‘accept’ and ‘I agree’ to the terms and conditions.

I found a pattern where if I win 7-8 games in a row, I have a 100 percent chance of losing the next 3-4 games in a row and it just keeps repeating.

I recently been playing fifa 23 and I noticed that whenever I score the AI out of now scores back immediately. Also whenever the AI loses the ball because of their mistake even though I can recover the ball easily for some reason they end up taking the ball back again without any issues.
Just played Ultimate for the first time. I won like 10 games in a row, then it matched me with a guy who only had icons. I went 2:0 up and then I couldn't do anything anymore he just walked through my defence no matter what I was trying. That was 100% scripted. I lost 10:2.

I think you focus to much on bugs and glitches. The scripting is more obvious when fresh 99 sprint player lose runs vs exhausted 80 sprint players. When passes only drop 3 meters and shots have no power and accuracy, even on 99 players. Not talking about a small chance to miss. Players turn to bronze in certain games or often when you lead.
Yeah true, many will use the excuse of chemistry styles, player fitness and other things though because there are many variables affecting the speed
i really want ea and fifa to get ruined by their potential oppenents like konami or UEL. ea don't listen to players at all and this game is already broken.
Ever since i played FIFA 07, 08,09 i felt that there is some changing difficulty even when playing against AI, for example when the opposing team scores a goal it's much easier to score compared to when score is 0:0 or 1:1. Since Ultimate team was released in FIFA 10 or 11 iirc, it's obvious that EA would use same dynamic difficulty algorithm so even new players won't be very disappointed when playing against best players, if there were no such DDA scripting bad players would quit pretty quickly and stop bringing money to EA
Unfortunately these things happen in real life not always 100% perfect so it's more real....its down to you not being good enough at the game, cry less practice more

In my career mode, it was 100% confirmed for me, it was a cup match in the semi final and at the start you can just notice the chance of pace straight away, compared to playing them in a league game, at first during the game, it would play fine, letting me get ahead by 1/2 goals then all of a sudden you can notice the change in the AI, the keeper starts saving absolutely every shot and 1 on 1 situation, or my player hit the crossbar or post. Then even in penalties he saves every one. Also at the same time the AI get insane, being unstoppable when trying to defend against, every through ball or pass to shoot situation results in a goal for them. They can hit it straight at my keeper and he will somehow not save it.
To confirm this i sat for almost 2 hours rematch after rematch to try and get the win, and it was just impossible. The game did not want me to win simple as and its a joke. So obvious.
I'm going further, if you are not a pro player it is actually settled how many wwins you will get in fut champs
Every week im getting 59 points. Thats not random. Thats scripted. I can do whatever i want, i never reach the 60 points.

@@trashwhocares865 I wondered about that as well. I always capped at 9 wins, never beyond that. Went to Reddit and a majority of FUT users there reported about 9-11 wins. Last week I made it to 10 for the first time. It's sketchy. Someone posted on Reddit that the game makes sure that you will win a set amount of games.
@@hischransen8069 9-11 wins is 45-55% win rate. Thats literally the average wr of the player base in any game you play. You're simply average and not good enough to get more wins. I restarted fifa 2 months ago was doing 6-8 wins and now I do 12-15. Thats not luck thats just me improving and viewing how I can do better every game instead of blaming ea and their scripting. Even though I believe scripting is real you can still make a diff
That last one happened to me too. It said the same thing before I even made the pass. It’s all controlled by EA.
Also why does the game make you switch on to people you don't want to switch to when defending? And of course when all that is going on, the defender you don't want to be switched onto, gets blow by for a goal scoring situation for the opposing team. Happens every time
There is a new feature in FIFA 23 which is intended to solve this but it is difficult to get used to. Instead of switching with L1 or LT you use the right analogue stick

I play career mode mostly, just because i don't really enjoy online, and it is still there.
Win too much and your players get exceptionally worse. I play with custom players a lot (Just because), and even if they have like over 90+ speed, somehow a defender can outpace them.
Even non custom players like Mbappe is somehow able to be kept up with by a usually slow defender.
100% most evident when a bad player makes a mistake from a goal kick for example and the ball is taken away leading to a break away. The player will suddenly slow way down, trip, foul is called out of thin air or the ball will deflect magically to another player on the other team like a bullet!
I can make a short list of what happens at every game :
- Slow players
- Passes intercepted 60% of the time
- Can't keep the ball
- Defenders slowers than an striker with the ball
- Imaginary fools
- Winning 4-0 at 55' and losing 4-0 at 90'
- Defenders going away from striker
- Can't select the player i want and the others go away, so when i finally have the player i want, he's fifty miles away
- ....

I can confirm scripting defo happens. I played someone back to back on seasons first time ever thats happened. First game he was on verge of relegation , he needed a point to stay up, i went 1-0 up and that was basically the biggest mistake ever after that everything went his way. I could even get out of my own half. He went 3-1 up and i lost, second game i was in verge of relegation and surprise surprise i went 3-0 up in 20 mins and he quit
Scripting exists in rivals and Squad battles, squad battles on anything about professional is scripted to death with some extremely strange things going on to make the AI team score. Fraud of a game, it's an absolute disgrace
my defenders instruction is to stay back while attacking. this does not happen most of the time in tight games.they are all up in the attack.

while defending every sliding and normal tackle is an assist to my opponent. The game takes control of my player switching which leads to preventing me from taking control of my defenders and put them in a good defensive position so there are no openings. ea just doesn't allow me to switch my player not to mention they don't pass or sprint when i push the button. Thats my punishment for being good at defending in the game

I’ve seen several times that the ball deviates right before colliding with the gk, avoiding him and ending in the back of the net.
Or viceversa, a trajectory that would be clearly a goal just deviates or curves unnaturally to end up colliding with the gk’s hands
Yeah, no matter how far into the corner you aim your finesse shot, your attacker with 82+ finishing will somehow shoot directly AT the keeper OR the shot will barely miss and just barely shave the goalpost just to rub it in your face 😅

Seeing a 91-rated defender run in the opposite direction during an attack or seeing a player like Nuno Mendez getting outrun by a Nantes player with the ball on his feet isn’t what I paid for.

In squad battles if you put on semi pro and if you win the ball back faster than 5 seconds they will start playing like prime Ramos out of nowhere

Just beat the shit out of my chair !! Was winning 4-0 . Finally lost 5-4. Players don’t want to run , do not want to receive the ball , keeper wants to take his hands away from a routine save , referee won’t whistle for a pen . Absolute shit of a game this fc 24 .
Most of the times, I can tell I’m about to lose. My players become unresponsive and decide not to pass when I press pass or shoot when I press shoot. I have extremely fast internet over 1GB/s, my ping is 4-8 at maximum, and I have an Xbox series X with 3TB storage using only 13% hard drive space… brand new controllers and everything and it doesn’t matter. I notice that it happens more often when I’m playing against a Mexican player from Mexico even tho they’re technically not better than I am, my players just decide to not play and allow space between lines for absolutely no reason. Like their feet are stuck in mud and my controller has a heavy delay which isn’t even true. I can always tell when the opponent is about to score and then I lose 2-0 while they have 2 shots 2 goals, and I have 28 shots 2 goals and 5.5 XG but no goals. It’s absolutely insane how this is even allowed. Kills the game and I’ve been playing for 13 years.
most of these seem like mere bugs to me. The real scripting can‘t really be shown on video because you can only feel it.
It is when your team suddenly controls differently from match to match or even after halftime.
When you just played 5 matches flawlessly and then in the 6th your players control like tanks, are stuck in the mud, need 4 touches to control the ball, wiggle in all dorts of directions when you haven‘t even touched the stick and need ages to move up the putch or just refuse to make runs into the box for no reason
Fifa say no scripting, fine let's call it "using old crappy algorythms to overcome poorly coded game play" then.
Whatever 'it' is, is very real we all know it and ea know it.
- 99% of games there's a 90min winner scored against me, seems no way to overcome this.
And this is where 'it' is much more noticeable. Game just switches until they get the goal.
Sometimes happens for me but only like 10% of the time at best.
-Team and player stats mean very little anymore, constantly playing boring meta sweats using the same meta cards
-Pace slow down so an 80 rated pace can catch ya 92 pace striker with ease even with a 2m headstart.
-If ur beating the 'it' then even stranger stuff starts to happen, players teleporting, injuries in key moments of play, my 98 rated pele missing 6yrd open goal tap ins after hitting the post and cross bar 3 times.Not to mention the very dubious takles and ref leniency if ur meant to be loosing.
-I've played a whole WL and lost 0-20 I couldn't do anything. Finally checked the settings to see keeper change itself to manual. This was recent and after the supposed fix btw.
Also played a whole week last week getting bashed hard like properly. My players were shit, settings seemed OK. But it felt like it was all manual, deleted my settings profile, reset settings restarted console, changed settings and boom back in business. I do not trust the settings at all anymore and it plays on my mind in games now its happened so much. (Ps5)
Truth is, there's alot of very dodgy game play that happens and which is completely out of our control and I could moan for pages about it but simply put the game is shite, it's made shite by a shite company only interested in extortionate profits. Of which we keep feeding to them.
In all honesty, I think this game is scripted. One game my team is flawless, perfect, I can make my opponent rage quit, and the other match my CBs (gold Van Dijk and Rudiger) bump into each other, my high paced players become slower than lower paced ones and I cannot defend/attack at all. It's so annoying.
PS: I do not consider myself a good player. I'm currently a division 7 noob and I'm fully aware I still have a lot to improve. But the inconsistency is outrageous.
I feel the same, I used to be average at the game and only around fifa19 did I start getting good and making people rage quit over and over. One game my players feel smooth and they flow really well, then the next game I can’t control them and my fastest players are being caught by players with no speed even when I get a head start running😂

I probably won't get any reaction but this happened to me back to back fut champs , i was 3-10 with 7 games to go , my defenders were too slow , huge gaps for their through ball , they don't press , the passing so sluggish , i miss everything and they score literally every chance they get , it switched like crazy i won 6 straight games and most of em rage quits , my players became super fast and finally lost the last game and i was up 2-0 and lost in the final minute after missing and easy chance 1v1 , i swear on everything i love it happened to me exactly twice in 2 weeks , 3-10 to 9-10 then 9-11 to finish fut champs , it's absolutely insane

The physics are deterministic and the game knows where the ball is going to go before the actual pass is performed, and thus also that it's going to be intercepted. The only bug is firing the commentary early.
If I won on the 1st half the 2nd half becomes a nightmare specially on fut champions or rivals, the opponent finally decides he will get every pass on air, ground and will outrun all my defenders Im sure its the ai there is no way a guy suddenly changes his playstyle because he got owned

I stopped playing this game because it makes no sense. It's a multiplayer game that you can spend countless hours playing, yet you never seem to improve. The AI always determines whether you win or lose. I have never experienced anything like this in any other multiplayer game. There is absolutely no incentive to continue playing because you have no control over the outcome. It's the only multiplayer game where a professional player can lose to a beginner.

If you add to that that sometimes you realize that your players are slow and there are games where it is impossible to pass, and it shouldn't be like that, I don't play últimate team, but I do play seasons and try to put together any team with my players and formation and strategy, and the game sometimes you realize that there is a feeling of slowness in the field and giving a pass, defending or trying to make a play is impossible, if the teams are more or less equal in quality of players the difference It should be the player's strategy and way of playing and not that the game determines the match. This game is super toxic.
Times you play the game will help you. Open your ports on the router. Play games nothing more than 16ms ping. If youre playing fut on a friday everyone else is so play rivals and play Saturday or non peak times and you’ll get better connections. If your using a PC disable nahemic services. Play on a wired connection, with static ip. Solves a lot of the issues people have but the game still sucks at times. Some teams are double the speed i think they’re mobile player’s. Turn cross play off. Disable upnp on your router if you open ports and set static ip. Drop a reply if you want the port numbers! State what platform you’re on also.
When my players start running really slow, you can literally see their legs running the same speed, but stepping small steps, like they are running on the spot a bit.
It's pathetic and irritating. When your winning a game you are not supposed to win, the script algorithm kicks in. Yours players become sluggish and your opponents become Usain bolt. It's really a sight to behold
no denying it exists. especially if you play the game long enough in legendary to put 5 or 6 unanswered goals on an opponent. it will eventually seem like your defenders develop arthritis and they AI will run past them for quick goal, then they'll pass between your 2 defenders’ legs for a goal infront of keeper, then they'd score a header, then score on a cross, then the game will also give the AI a penalty despite your good defense. this happened to me a couple times, i'm saying try scoring 4-5 goals on legendary and the game will turn itself quickly in the second half around despite best efforts.
but i found it more effective to still be on attack instead of switching to defend as the AIs seem to be dumb on their defensive end when the game goes this. best thing to do is avoid parity by scoring as they score when you’re ahead.
everytime I go on a winstreak of any sort, I just stop playing for most if not the rest of the day. because I know if I would have kept playing, I would have lost in some odd way. 'sometimes the game wants you to win, sometimes they want you to lose.' thats a quote I made up for these problems..

Every game is the same that I play now. I get up a goal, and I can never score again, no matter what I do. And of course my opponent eventually ties up the score. And if I score again to get ahead, of course I can never score again. And you guessed it my opponent ties me up again. This happens every game now. No matter what I do I can never get a 2 goal lead. And one time I get up by 3 goals and magically my opponent comes back and score 4 unanswered goals. This crap is so scripted it's a complete joke

Every single one of the FIFA’s are scripted. I cruised through div 1 winning every game, then the next minute you can’t win a game. All of the same players playing the same formation become slow, every 2nd ball falls to the other team, you round the keeper and 10 defenders stop the ball going in, meanwhile they can shoot from anywhere it goes in, all their players are much faster, your defenders while anticipating a through ball, mysteriously push up the park even though theyre set to “stay back while attacking”.
The game is corrupt as fifa itself, the fact they ban anyone who accuses them of scripting says it all really. Horrid game.
I've been playing fifa from its first installment there's always been a form of scripting.
It just so happens that since ultimate team came into being and online gaming became so popular that scripting has simply ruined the game.
Sad thing is you don't win on this game without scripting having been in your favour.
You know scripting is happening because the feeling of the game changes, your players can't pass, shoot, dribble, tackle and more.
Also your apponents version of the same player becomes world beater, example Harry Kane for me was slow and cumbersome, his Harry kane became lighting fast with super human agility.
If its not scripting then it's awful coding and the whole coding team for fifa game need firing.

I remember playing 2013 Fifa and running into scripting. I was playing career mode so I just restarted the game and magically the feel of the game went back to normal and I won the game. The scripting only came after a string of wins. I got tired of resetting the game and just forfeited the game to have the gameplay go back to normal. Most of the time that trick worked immediately. Fifa 2019 is a much different beast and I just stopped playing Fifa and went over to PES and then eFootball to see a different but equally frustrating scripting. I haven't played either in a while now, even though I win over 90% of the time against the computer. Just was no fun anymore.
You’re not wrong about Harry Kane, my brother was playing as him in rivals but Kane was playing utter dogshit, was too slow and couldn’t pass.

Its a known fact that player who are frustrated spend more money to regain their advantage, so the game developers clearly use your history to determine when to drive you toward a losing streak. The script is less about certain players having an advantage vs another and more focused on - you won enough lately, so time to get you on a losing streak and see if they can generate more revenue from your frustration.
growing up I started playing since fifa 13-14 up to 23, I always thought it was just me who experienced this until I talked to other people who played it and they’ve experienced the same thing. Players running away from the ball when in front of goal, goalkeepers walking out of the way leading to a clear shot, 90+ pace players getting outpaced by significantly slower players, lower divion teams turning into tiki take Barcelona and not getting the ball, defenders in the dying moments of the game just wandering off out of the defensive shape, passing into spaces where you didn’t even aim or intend and more. It’s a shame because I genuinely had fun with the game over the years, but like you can most definitely tell when the game wants you to win and when the game wants you to lose.
My friend has been playing fifa for a long time and has deleted this game recently as he couldn’t handle the scripting and was raging too much that he almost broke his controller just cause of this game. FIFA is the only game I know where my friends have raged over and have actually broke their controllers compared to other games
One thing I noticed, is that when the opponent gets the ball in their own penalty area, they kick the ball long along the ground, so it goes off screen (slow camera on this game) and it always goes to their attacker, with your defenders chasing back.
BTW is there a way to get the midfield back, because they just stand there watching.

I play ultimate difficulty in career and i cant play without instructions what helps for me is i have full backs stay back and i always play with a cdm on stay back while attacking should give you enough time for everyone else to fall back and for camera i play co-op the ball never goes anywhere i cant see try it

I had a really bad game recently, every single tackle would end up with my CB on the ground and their Julian Alvarez would still hold the ball after every challenge, and a very blatant incident where instead of making a clearance under zero pressure on a loose ball my LCB actually moved backwards to allow the opposing striker to run onto the ball and get a tap in, I knew scripting was a thing but that game was a really bad example of it
Never felt that way in seasons mode, but in Ultimate Mode it's extreme. They want to sell their shit to us that way.

Yeah the scripting is absolute bonkers at times. Unexplainable how some people end up winning, but you can’t do much about it because of shit like this. When I see it going on in my matches, I’ll just turn off fifa and play something else for a few days before returning.

Recently in EA FC, I am having a weird situation, I am not able to score goals from shoots anymore and my GK stopped working. Only way to score is walking into the net by dribbling. Even if I am the only one having the ball, I lose like 0-2 0-3. But this wasn't happening before. It started to happen after I have relegated from Seasons League 1. I am not able to win anymore. Now I am realizing that, I was winning with a 4 star team againts 5 star teams at Seaons League 1, maybe those games were scripted too? So I didn't win actually, the scripted system let me win. It's so bad for a player like me. I won't install the game again because I cannot feel anything even if I win the game. It is like a shitty mobile game now. I have no effect on whats happening.
I despise when they take an extra huge touch when I'm literally just mashing the shoot button for an easy tap-in.
It’s not scripting, it’s called EOMM. There’s been a published journal on this and they specifically references FIFA as the game they were referring to when doing tests etc.

Heavy gameplay, Positioning, FORCED LAG. And you're probably like: "What?? Forced lag? What is that?- Well let me explain. Do you ever start lagging and get lag spikes while leading with like 3 goals, and then all of a sudden its 3-3? Or that your players go from 99 pace to 60 pace? Do you ever feel like a gold thiago silva has outrun your fastest player? Well, thats scripting for ya.
