This is my fist FIFA game and I don't think I've experienced more toxicity in any other game, and I play League of Legends and CSGO. I decided to try division rivals to try and make it to div 9 for the objective and after going like 3-10 and facing so many sweats and toxic people, I vowed to never play any multiplayer content. Even the "friendly" tournament thing sucked almost as much. I still really enjoy SBCs and squad battles and building squads, but Jesus, I don't understand how or why people put themselves through the division grind.

You should try Clubs. It's more fun. Some of this toxicity still exists but it's not as bad

The pausing for me to quit annoys me the most. You do that to me, i'm staying and before the game ends i'm triple pausing. If i'm going to quit and can do it myself.
Yup that's infuriating. Especially after going 1-0 down 😂😂 . Can't decide what's worse. Pausing for me or quitting at 0-0 in Champs and not giving me the W.
I am actually rubber banding if somebody wants to force me to quit. Because if I keep playing, I am wasting my own time. I rather rubber band my controller and do something else and let him alone with wasting his time. He deserves it in this case.
quitting at a draw and not getting anything is the easiest thing for ea to fix
I think that the "not skipping the halftime cut scene" thing is a bug that no one noticed. I think that both the players have skipped but the game registers only one skipping. Nobody gave it a second thought because we are so prone to thinking the other player is just stalling.

I always try to play my best and if I score a goal I skip the celebration out of respect. But if you celebrate with Griddy, dance around, or abuse skills in the midfield for no reason... oh bro, get ready to not smell the ball for a while and a good round of toxicity...

Why passing around is toxic tho? It's almost impossible to find available player in this year's game so all you have to do is to pass until there would be available space for build up.
Here's what I discovered that made me decide to quit fifa for good: Most of the players I play fifa 23 ultimate against are mostly guys who play the same way as AI. - The most optimized possible like would an AI do - that is to say always in the same way (no surprises, no creativity in the game) and score the same goals repeatedly: no surprises either, no attempts from distance, they rotate the ball with quick passes until making the final pass in the big rectangle where it is already too late to recover the ball because in most cases, except with luck, the ball ends at the bottom of the net. At first I was angry after my defeats but then I understood one important thing: these guys I play against don't play football. They are robots. They are only interested in victory and all means are good to achieve it even if we no longer play football. All that counts is efficiency. By carefully observing the game of some, I ended up laughing because it was so blatant. These guys have no soul, their game can be as effective as they want, they can beat me up, I don't even have any rage left in me because the game they are offering is so laughable. And unfortunately there are a lot of players like that. It must be said that Fifa does not give other solutions, the game is like this. If you want to win, you have to play like that. Like a robot. I've tried all the styles and I'm an experienced player but nothing works ;-) So, the only matches that are still worth it are the ones we have when our friends come to the house , the old-fashioned way... there at least we are sure that there will be a spectacle and that the actions and goals will not all be the same. I also like effective football but not to the detriment of the beauty of the game and its spirit. Thank you goodbye.
Yes you are right but EA sadly make more money if their players care more about results and packs than actuall football and also there are a lot of kids playing this game and you can't really expect a kid to have a decent enough football IQ to play anything different than the easiest way. For players that started playing in the last couple of years this is completely normal but for someone like me that played Fifa since 2004 or so it becomes more and more boring and frustrating. I actually didn't have a real problem with that until this years game because it is the first year I feel that the meta completeley kills any football based way of playing and on top of that you don't need much skill to play the meta way so every game is the same and very rarely do I play someone with at least half a brain or someone that plays more for fun than anything else.
There are winners and losers. I play to win and so do they. Obviously you’re happy coming last 😂

Just turn off your message, turn off getting notifications in your privacy settings. Have it on strangers can’t message you. That’s how I’m doing it. These idiots can’t message me after game or in game. About quitting when tied, that can’t be fixed because the console is like a pc, you can literally go to the app, press start and go down to quit and it shuts down the game. Nothing can be done on that. I recently discovered that after playing against a cheater on champs. He wasn’t playing, he was using AI ultimate bot hack. I could not pass, move, or shoot. That’s what I did, I left with that method and he got a point and I got a point. Not letting cheaters win.
ey, yall know how easy it is to combat the kickoff glitch? just place your controller on the table when the game starts it wont be successful.

More so than not skipping the half time cutscene, they then instantly ready up when the menu loads... My. Blood. Boils.
some of us have dogs that go buck wild during the game and you need that halftime to get them to settle. I think you’ll survive.

The extra +2 minutes that basically turns into +4 towards the end of a tough game is horrendous, only time I’d willingly time waste. Especially if I’m winning 😂
Along with not skipping cutscenes, after scoring a goal they celebrate and let the replay show, this is how you can identify a shi*ty person
If they dont accept the peace treaty, Thats when you need to completely trash them, if the game allows you to, that is..
Semi related, it's also douchey when your opponents skip your celebration and replays.

@@delaboyomagazine5345 It's a glitch... When you see the autosub option when you concede, spamming LB+RB will skip your opponents celebrations and replay. Have to do it fast...

i agree with most of what you said, but i w anted to remark something about the "not skipping half time cutscene", i am an older player (63) im kinda not bad lol division 6. but i suffer from shortage of breath some times when i am excited. so i sometimes do not skip the halftime cutscene (the one before the time counter starts) because i need the pause to catch my breath. i try to minimize it as much as i can but you must know that some people need this to catch their breath or rest for few seconds.

I had a perfect cut back and tapped x and my winger passed it all the way back to my center back. I was down one in champions and wanted to break the tv lol
5 at the back isn't toxic, it's quite literally the only formation that is strong against cutback rats.
Nah, it is harder to player against because of how good AI can help and they might just keep doing cut back as well. I usually do Griddy on my opponents that does that

95% of the goals are cut backs it's so fucking boring! I just exit the game when people do this.
@Scottsvoicework if the first thing a player does against me is to run down the wing from kickoff to do a cutback? The game gets ended there and then. I've never been more bored by a playstyle than people who wanna just cutback rat matches.

You can't really fix toxicity, toxic people always find a way but I have to add that EA almost encourages people to be like that with the way their game is formated.

Problem with this logic is that a gun isn't meant for just anyone. It's only meant for the police, soldiers and people who have the license to own one. And even with that, killing innocent people with it is illegal.
As for fifa, hacking the game is the only thing that seen as illegal. Abusing mechanics isn't illegal. EA put them in there to be used. You shouldn't be mad at the people who use it just because you don't like it. Fifa mechanics aren't illegal. That's like being mad at someone because he's very good at aiming in COD. They're mechanics in the game meant for people to use. If the person abuses it and there's no consequences to doing so, you can't blame them. Blame the developers. I'm not supporting people who use them. It's annoying. But you can't blame them since they're not breaking any rules.

this morning I played against someone in Fut champs, I had the kickoff, and tried to score. the guy tackle the ball in the box and then kick it out to corner. at first i thought he was just panic mashing, but then he paused and quit the game!
and I'm like: "Why do you have to be such a c*nt!! if you are already quitting the game why not be a nice guy and hand me the win!!!"
I was so pissed that I lost the next game :(

This is genuinely THE most toxic game out there. In soooo many toxic games you can just ignore/turn off your toxic opponents, but oh not in fifa. And yeah idk how to fix things like quiting, but I am sure it MUST be fixed
The worst thing is not being given a win when your opponent leaves the game! I mean what in the world logic is this from EA? Even back in time, we have been given a win when our opponent disconnected, or left the game, but no, not this time, we have taken our game to a new level of realism! The only possible logic would be that there is "a glitch" in their system that Cheaters can exploit to make you disconnect, and award themselves a win, which they cannot fix, or it's "too complicated" to fix, so they decide to just don't deal with it, and leave it as it is.
I’m a defensive/counter-attacking player. I either park the bus with 4 at the back formation and drive you nuts, or park the aeroplane with 5 at the back and make you rage quit.

Forgot the players that can only play by spinning around in circles and spamming skills, they pass the ball spin around about 5 times spamming balls rolls, then pass and repeat
Even though it feels terrbile getting dribbled, players who actually know how to use ball tricks are impressive

I never looked up or learned how to manual goalkeep because I hate it so much.
I try really hard to not care about the toxicity but the one thing that really boils my blood in this game are the multiple loan cards EA is handing out in their store packs. As if playing this game against almost only sweats wasn't hard enough a ridiculous amount of players seem to just buy the packs to use their loan Ronaldinho, Cruyff etc. in champs to get an advantage. The gameplay is ass but the one change I would make before anything else is banning loans from champs. They will sadly never do that because it is another factor that makes players load up points.
I spam click my controller after scoring a goal to go back to kickoff. But if anyone starts celebrating on me, boy will i Griddy the fuck out of this match

I am trying to quit all smoking, and funny enough, i havent played a game since.
I played in the FUT Champs today and wanted to give away a win in my last game (points wouldn't change my rewards). Somehow two times in a row I got matched against the same guy, he had a bronze team and did exactly that - passed the ball back, pretended to give me the win and then quit on 0-0. I didn't really care and just laughed at him, because I wanted to actually give away a win myself. Still, I don't understand why anyone sane would do that. I mean, they had to qualify for the weekend league and they decided to waste it by trolling some randoms who most likely don't even give a sh*t. 😂
And the most sad thing is, it’s probably an adult and not a kid doing it
When you are on a 0-10 streak anything is possible. My favorite, put a rubber band on the remote and go do something else while I glance at the game defending better than I did. Then you go back to 7-3 and think I'm getting better at it.

Bro, Im raging like 12 times a weekend in voice call because my opponent just quit again without giving me the win or pretended to give it and then quit and EVERY SINGLE TIME im being asked by someone WHY THIS IS EVEN IN THE GAME. If someone concedes, the other party wins, ITS NOT SO FUCKING DIFFICULT EA!
This game has by far the worst and most toxic community out of all the games I have played. I tied with this dude in UT 4-4 last minute, scored my 5th goal then my game disconnects. And that win didn’t even count.

I love when I am 5-0 behind and my opponent starts pausing the game. When my opponent used his pauses, I am starting to use mine in the 88th minute.
If you griddy its game on and im doing All ears when i score on you LOL. If you do Kick off goal ill join you and score doing broken mechanics. If you charge at me with VVD(Brute) cause hes meta ill make sure you charge at me far off your position/line. Ooooh you rats… 🐀 😤LOL

One match i was gettin destroyed by rapinoe's constant outside the box finesses, sure she got a hattrick in the end, and dont get me started on greaseman and son. All they need is a yard or two and its out of your control. Even a complete gaming newbie could score these and would feel godly. Also if you quit champs at nil nil or pass round the back from 80th minute you are a selfish poo stain
The griddy celebration takes the worst out of me, it’s so annoying.
And in past FIFAs, the one when the team reunited to take a picture, that made me want to throw the controller to the tv😂
My favorite annoying celebration of all time was the frog. Something about it just screamed out that you were mocking your opponent 😂

Quitting when tied is crap bc when they quit while tied, it's tied but if my Internet craps out when I'm in the lead, 2-1, I lose 2-3
Had a guy earlier today who scored 2 goals and paused me. I destroyed him afterwards (couldn't touch my half) went 2-2, won a penalty for the 3-2 and he disconnected.
EA decided to allow players pausing the game on a pen (when last year it was not an option) is the stupidest thing they could have done and nobody says a thing...
Why did they break something that worked a million times better last year!

You are also wasting their time. Blaming players for trying to win is illogical. Being toxic because your opponent is doing what is in their best interest to win because of what EA has done is some of the greatest toxicity. Just give them the win and move on with your life. Being toxic like that just perpetuates the cycle of toxicity

Everyone who is competitive from what I’ve seen runs 71 depth, so if the gameplay is bad, just score on yourself first before you quit because it neither hurts you nor helps you and wastes negligible time anyways. You know what keeps people having to sweat their balls and run 71 depth? People quitting at 0-0
i played some dude yesterday that played the most boring ass way possible. i could not get past his defense and got lucky scoring a corner. won 1-0 and was convinced the dude was playing a super defensive formation and turns it he was playing a 433 attack 💀
Most toxic thing is buying this game in the first place and putting your self through playing it. At least EA are nice to give us amazing lag free servers with no button delay... It does help soften the blow.

The only thing I don't enjoy about your videos is that I can't watch them at school because I'll die laughing. Because of your vids, I've been kicked out of class twice. I only play Clubs now. The exploited mechanics and wanky behaviour of players is annoying. But its the excessive scripting/momentum that does me. Should just be based on who is better rather than the game itself trying to even things out.
I recently had a dude play the ball around the back doing kick ups with their defenders until I pushed my players forward then longballed it to their forwards every time, proper rat behaviour
Time wasting is the most toxic thing even in real life.. dude put it as cringe and that’s great because it’s cringe to see how toxic he really is by not putting that thing in its own category of maximum toxicity
EA is using psychological manipulation on the players.
You need to use psychological torture on your opponent.
Winning the battle in the mind, is already 50% of the win.

But in this game you need to be toxic to a certain degree.
One of the biggest annoyances for me is when they celebrate and watch the penalty replay... i always skip celebrations and replays no matter the goal cause i want to get back to playing.
You ever get triple paused in the 92’d minute in spite of them winning or losing badly , utterly enraging
Im not gonna lie about this, i do quit if i feel that the game hands my opponent Easy goals especially where the game completely ignores switching to the players im pointing at and what command i am giving it, which it does in 90% of the cases. The game is all about meta/scripting/skill gap closure/momentum boost/Defence ball watching when you are trying to have them do what it is told.
Fifa/fc, has been dead and buried for years, its all about FUT, i personally have never thrown my Money at that crap, and i cant believe people waste their money on such a obvious scam.
Bring back the days when fifa was actually fun.

Im saying that the game does give my opponents easy opportunities to score, because it simply has my players back down or not be able to switch to corresponding players at the given time before its too late, many just sprint past my defence down the middle, and my players Dont acknowledge the simple command 'Tackle/press' its a complete scam, every single time. Nothing to do with skill issues, i know what i need to do, but im not allowed to, in so many cases.
Its often so easy to read the game, what your opponent wants to do, and yet, the game finds ways to fuck you up, on so many different occasions, its hilarious.
The game is the rat, yes indeed. This is what i mean about there not exactly being a skill gap, because its the game that decides who wins, in a lot of the situations.

I think there are definitely tiers to each category. One of the most extreme examples i can give is, if I'm the one starting the game I would score an own goal making the opponent think i'm giving them the win, then score kick off glitch and then quit..

Quitting at draw is reasonable when the enemy griddid when shooting the 0-1 and then pauses for you to leave. If you then get the draw, I understand leaving

I've never used to griddy to do anything other than just use the griddy. I just think its looks nice in FC 24. There is always 1 celly I'm drawn too, it would've been Lo Labonta's celly, but EA censored it so its lame.
By far the worst game not only in the FIFA franchise (I know it’s “EAFC” but it’s FIFA) but one of the worst games I’ve ever played. Only thing keeping me returning is the EVOs

The only time I've ever quit when it's tied was when my opponent had a 96 rated team win 98 Zidane, 98 R9, 98 Ronaldinho, 99 Wirtz, 96 Maildini, 97 Schmeichel, 95 Roberto Carlos, 98 Pedri, 94 Vidic and 96 Cafu. I didn't even take kickoff 💀
Quitting when tied... That happened to me so often. Penalty for me - quit. He takes a 1-0 lead, I make it 1-1 and dominate from then on, he realizes he's going to lose - quit. Guys please, just play the game. And skip the fcking replays also.
You forgot very famous gameplay: Play only on counter-attacks and the entire game try to give the same Triangle Pass to 95+ striker hh (zero buildup) 😂

I've had a few players quit on me: One was down to 10 men at 1-0 and scored to equalise then quit, I came back from 3-0 down to make it 3-3 and they quit, and then I went 1-0 up against a player who couldn't break me down and quit as soon as he equalised. There's genuinely nothing worse.
I don't know who needs to read this, but, if you do any of these things:
-skipping a legit or great goal instantly, but not skipping *your* goal when you score a jammy or tap in, or, as they say, "dead" goal.
-playing 5 at the back with two dms in front of 50 on stay back + drop back and only attacking by running down the wing until you can cutback or pass it to whoever you sent mid
-100 width/100 depth on every preset
-71 depth/direct passing on every preset
-0 skill moves, no use of player lock ever to score a goal, but openly spam skill moves and player lock in open or empty areas of the pitch when ahead or in situations where there isn't even anyone marking you or near you
-doing the griddy unironically because you think a celebration ACTUALLY triggers people (when there's a literal feature this year that skips opponent celebrations, probably the only good thing EA devs have ever added to the game)

My team's name is ParcZeBuss FC and all I do is play possession football and piss about parking the bus. I'm not even playing to win, just to piss off FUT players, especially ones that are clearly buying players with real money.

I want quick games, the quicker the better. 15mins. I don't want 25 mins games, we're you want to see the team at the beginning, want to watch 4 ends of ground, corner flags, seats etc. No celebrations, only children do them. If you're a grown adult doing them, you're a child. Watching them walk of the field at HT, just press skip. Substitutions, I don't care who's coming on, press skip. Throw ins, goal kicks, corners, you're taking forever to play the ball. If you go 3 nil up and celebrate every goal and sometimes watch replay, then I make you play whole game. I score deliberate OGs when you're 5-0 up and you celebrate you get paused on. Idiots fail to realise the longer they take playing the game doing stupid kiddy celebrations and watching the players walk off the pitch, the likelihood EA might randomly boot you from servers, would you rather play 2 games or 4 games in an hour? Anyone with a brain says 4, then press skip on everything that can be skipped
You forgot to add: The people who just let the clock run down during the matchmaking screen and never click "advance". WHY ARE YOU HERE? DONT YOU WANT TO PLAY???????
Omg this is game is so broken!! It’s not even fun trying new players cause the mechanics just don’t allow you to use them well. Been playing fifa since “fifa 14” and there has never been a more broken fifa with attacking AI broken defenders, passing, inconsistent finishing and just meta rats grinding wins. But don’t blame the player blame DA GAMEE 😅😂

quitting sometimes is ea's fault... got disconnected from a squad battles match after 90th minute whistle,,, still gave me the 3-0 loss and got dc'd from 2 online matches right after too... basically wasted a half an hour of my lif e that i'm never getting back.

Dont agree on the quitting at tie. I do it plenty. Often because the game's unplayable at 0 0, someone is being an arse with the celebrations/pausing so i quit or the AI has decided to spoon my 89th min winner over the bar 5 yards from goal with potm Salah. I'll even do it after going a goal down. Sometimes it just isn't worth the headache. You can feel when the game is working against you. Me and my mates jokingly call it the gameplay switch. Each person gets a turn. It's shocking.
I swear, I always used beast players back in time and it was always a good time playing this game, but now you get roasted when you use a fun/different team than meta, but sadly, I don't spend real money on this game, so I use what I get or what I can buy with farmed coins. This year, I got a bit luck and packed players like Hemp, Dembele IF and some other good cards, but you still see the same teams on and on again.
I dunno why I still play this game, but I know, why I took a break from 2020 to 2023 from UT...
