You are fantastic. Your playing and performance is 100% Lestat material. Captivating and absolutely breathtaking. I'm downloading this as soon as possible. Keep up the fantastic work.
I dont know how the fuck you figured out what he says during this part,.....ive tried for years to figure it out. if your got the rest you better damn well publish it,..haha
Just stunning, I absolutely love this piece. Interview With The Vampire is one of my favorite movies and finding this brings me sheer joy. Thank you ❤️
It is NOT called ''Lestats sonata'' , it is Joseph Haydn Piano Sonata No. 59 In E-flat Major (second movement ADAGIO CANTABILE) used in movie ''interview with vampire''
You do realize as someone who's clearly a skilled pianist (with sheet music in front of him mind you), he probably not only knows the name of the piece, but it's probably on his sheet music as well. He used Lestat's Sonata as the title because, as you say, it was used in Interview With The Vampire. Which is a popular movie, and this is from an exciting part of the movie, meaning people will search for it.
I never knew the name of this piece, so when I looked up "lastat piano" this video came up. It's not the actual name of the song, but without those keywords or the title, I never would have found it. 👍
I had half ass watched the movie some time ago and never caught this piece of music until my buddy mentioned it to me tonight. This is a GORGEOUS piece and you played it BEAUTIFULLY! Very well done!
I have literally watched this video 3-4 times a week every week for the last 2 years, this is by far my most pleasing thing in the world, THANK YOU BEETHOVEN. So much feeling and emotion
2 years ago I made a comment, my father in law died before Christmas, my mother I law a few weeks ago, this music so depressing and so emotional is my most favorite ever and has really helped me through this time, this will also be played at my funeral when I go, thabkyou again for doing this.
Terry Howard Ian Moone Yumi Sagara Have you listened to Rachmaninoff's Elegie Op. 3, No. 1 ? I think you will enjoy it greatly if you enjoy this style of music. There is a recording of Rachmaninoff himself performing it available, on an album called "A Window in Time" which I think is the best one to listen to (obviously)
Absolutely amazing, If I manage and I will one day this will be played by myself in front of family and friends who would of never thought I would do something like this, just don't let procrastination be the thieve of time. good effort Connor Chee you are a role model.
I have heard various versions but I always come back to your channel!! I love to put this on repeat when traveling or trying to put my mind at peace. Thank you for sharing your talent with us! ❤
After listening to many, many different versions on youtube, I am uploading yours to my ipod. It sounds the most like Lestat to me. Great job & thank you!
Does anyone know the piece that is played in the scene where Claudia and Lestat are playing for the family? The line is something like “can you play something on more of a somber note” and then the piano piece is played
Thank you for making this video ! I've been trying to download this song everywhere and I couldn't find it, only the original versions which are much faster. You play wonderfully !!
"Claudia; you have been a very, very naughty little girl"
I don't know why but every time I hear Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata', I'm reminded of Lestat too!
It's the other way around. Moonlight Sonata was written first.
Albert Lugo Haydn wrote this sonata 1789/90; Beethoven’s Moonlight sonata was 1801. Your comment is neither accurate nor helpful.
@@elaineblackhurst1509 and with that, I will forever hate you.
@@albertlugo2625 lmao
Agreed
This gives me the chills... I swear, they did an AMAZING job getting the feeling of the 17 and 1800's in Interview With The Vampire..
"Listen, Louie... There's life, in these old hands still"
Jason T
"not quite furioso, moderato, cantible perhaps?"
LOL! Like every time you play it.
Ask the Alligator...his blood helped.

Thank you so much!
You have excellent technique and that piano is beautiful, superb playing.
I can feel my fangs growing listening to this masterpiece.
So beautiful and ominous at the same time.
Lestat would be very proud! Very beautiful music!
Listen, Louis. There’s life in these old hands still. Not quite furioso. Moderato cantabile, perhaps…
I dont know how the fuck you figured out what he says during this part,.....ive tried for years to figure it out. if your got the rest you better damn well publish it,..haha
5664788 dude read the book. Or look up the script
5664788 or just turn on the bluray/dvd subtitles
I don't think this speech was in the book.
There was another vampire and it was all just fighting and burning from the off, if I mind right.
@@Trowblood I'm 99% sure it's in the movie as well

Respectably, Moonlight Sonata was known as "piano sonata No. 14 in C # Minor". Moonlight sonata is what it became

alexxxxxx23 Stick to the official Hoboken catalogue numbers; anything else is confusing. This is the Sonata in E flat Hob. XVI:49.
