  • Lubrication Control, Part 2.
This video discusses and demonstrates several aspects related to proper lubrication of any watch movement. Picking up the right quantity of lubricant on exactly the right place on the oiler is necessary for proper lubricant application. In this video we show how this is done. This and many other checks and adjustments are necessary for quality service, and a standard part of your education as a student at OSUIT. The oil is hanging off of the oiler but not dripping off of the oiler due to the property of cohesion. To see it better, dip your finger into some water. Then, angle your finger downwards and watch as the water drips off of your finger. Wait until the last drop of water falls, then look at the water hanging off of the very tip of your finger but not dripping off of your finger. The water hanging off of your finger but not dripping off of your finger is a "low bubble".
