According to a friend in the know, the Dream Besties sculpts were done by Sean Olmos, longtime staff sculptor for Mattel who is indeed responsible for the EAH faces, among many others.
I’m scared for Rainbow High 😢 it was one of my fav doll lines
Rainbow High RIP 2020-2023. Those Tween Mermaids are a pass if I want a non articulated Mermaid doll with a molded on tail I'll stick with Barbie. A shame the line has gone to pot because I really like them. Oh well, there are other mini dolls out there.

I really like the dream besties, they kinda remind me of life in the dreamhouse. I think Brooklyn is my favorite, love the blue on her. MGA is basically giving Mattel an automatic win with the gross RH dolls they now have 😟
I feel like the new Barbies are worthy in my collection, but at the same time I don’t want them. It’s kind of back-and-forth thing. (Also I still think the 6 inch rainbow high doll still look like a cursed American girl doll)
I think Rene is supposed to be Asian.

I love the dream besties so far! Teresa's screening almost reminds me of Briar from ever after high. They definitely seem like something I would collect and I really hope they're better quality than normal barbies because the line seems so promising!
I'm actually excited about the Mermaid tweens cause I love the Tweens and mermaids...I just wish they'd given them jointed elbows. I think I'll get the Dream besties too - they're really cute
I know the tweens ones look so so cute but I'd hate how they are not articulated :(

I heard that barbie dream besties uses the mattel bratz face mold and i think that's interesting
They don't, they are entirely new head molds
It’s definitely not the same sculpt, Mattel Bratz heads are more similar to mh g1 heads and these are more akin to eah heads
Tbh the dream besties faces kinda look like the ever after highs "reboot" faces
Theyre really cute tho
The Tween mermaids remind me of the Kika Goods mermaids in that they both have those pretty glossy plastic tails that look like glass. 👍

On the amazon post the shipping date appears to be between july 22 to 24. They are both going down in the price and getting a closer release date which happens whenever the release date is getting closer. I think they are releasing on the 24th and July for Spectra

The mermaid tweens would be excellent head donors although don’t know how easy that would be
Pretty easy. LOL dolls work like Bratz dolls where you push the head all the way down and then pull it off and it pops off with no problem.
@@DefyReality-ll2cg cool because I saw someone try to swap non swappable heads on to another tween and it was a little bobble heady. But I hope this works

Those RH Littles aren’t going to save the RH SH brand they need to return to their original roots and quality. Also it’s concerning that the tweens are getting the same treatment as these were objectively a good brand and had good design. Despite the lack of tail articulation that mermaze mermaids had I wish they were still making dolls and they were jointed everywhere else with fabric clothing… tweens are set to get none of that!😢 MGA is seeming to down spiral 🌀 and it’s 😢 sad. Not vibing with the Barbie dream besties either right now.
The mermaids look like AliExpress knockoffs
7:35 I think this is a reused ever after high sculpt. It definitely looks like a Ashlynne sculpt. But anyway why does the white thing in that container look like a skullette?
I like Teresa but I think it’s also cause her style fits mine (if the dress was in a different color but the red works for her) and I’ve been wanting her back for so long. Like yes give me, my Hispanic queen. Bit bummed that Rene means no Kira who’s my fav but she still looks nice and is my other favorite from the new line. Malibu Barbie is third (surprising as pink is my favorite color and she looks the way Barbie use to be before the revamp thing) and Brooklyn Barbie is last but still nice looking. As for the Mermaid Tweens, I’m snagging the different eye colors one. I love anything that does that. Yes Bob from the Minions counts.

I wonder which clothes will fit the Dream Beasties bodies. I wish they were compatible with Monster High, but they look like something between a standard Extra body and a curvy one. The feet look like they are Barbie sized. It's curious Mattel followed the Monster High form factor: a core doll with several acessories. Maybe they will release themed dolls too, like Monster Fest? I hope this line line is sucessful and we get to see a lot of other character. I'm hoping for Ken, Rafa and my favorite girl Daisy!

I'm probably going to get some heat for this, but I liked what Froggy did with the EAH dolls. I found mine thrifting, so most of them had no hands, clothes, ect. I tried Froggy's tip and changed all of them. My favorite hybrids. The tweets, ummm, not a fan, the new Malibu Barbie, Teresa, Brooklyn..I want to see them in person...just my opinion...love your videos ❤

The Dream Besties having tinsel is an immediate turn off. But the doll itself is cute.
Mattel’s clothing quality here doesn’t look like cheap fashionistas crap which is good. I will not buy any though.
Also R.I.P MGA. I’ll cherish the Tweens and RH dolls I already have.

the mermaids and besties are cute, but I don't know if I'll get any of them. maybe when they go on sale - maybe not. Big no to the RH littles doll - everything else aside, I like changing up doll clothes and sewing for my dolls and this doll will fulfill neither

The Rainbow high doll looks like one of those plastic baby dolls
Those rainbow high dolls should not have looked like mini rainbow high with no make up. Their face needed to be rounder , maybe fuller cheeks. The eyes should've been rounder too. Less sharp eye shape more like the big Disney ILY 4ever. Maybe full lips too. Maybe different colors "lighter youthful" colours. They look like shrunk dolls not younger versions.

I don't like mermaid dolls that look incredibly cheap, I say this because when I was little I used to love mermaids but every time I'd bring them to the bath suddenly I wasn't able to bend the bottom bit of the torso or the heads would have water. The issue with mermaid dolls is....they are meant - for me at least - to be meant for bath times with kids. Other than that this is incredibly poor idk where they're going with this....
