Definitely possible to be honest. I also believe I've had it be affected by magnets in some of my other devices when they're nearby (specifically the magnets in my Microsoft Surface) so I think the general note is just it's a little sensitive. I'd say it's a pretty minor negative overall though.
Good point! I haven't noticed any horrible scratches with the titanium nibs without a screen protector but there are certainly little marks here and there after a year of use!
I would not use metal nibs, will scratch hell out of your screen. There is a reason they are plastic, as they are softer than the glass so wont scratch. They are actually felt nibs not plastic from what I hear
Maybe the writing interference can be from the magnetic case, have you tried writing without it?

Using titanium nibs without screen protector? I'm also using titanium nibs but I covered the screen with healing shield paper like film.
