As always, I am very grateful to you, Mr. Hendry - for sharing your adventure with us. You are truly blessed to have access to such an amazing part of the world. As the 14th birthday of WildEarth approaches, I just wanted to say "thanks" to you for the wonderful WE memories I have of you. I only started watching it at the beginning of the pandemic, and you were one of the first guides I was introduced to.....Whenever they show one of your clips, I always give a shout out to you on the live stream chat....and I am NOT alone in that regard. Please know, James - that while I am very happy for your in your current endeavors, you are thought of often by us WE'ers and are missed.....
Loved the antics of the young baboons and the adult hanging onto juniors tail. Too funny. Was waiting in anticipation for hippo dung to be flung onto the hapless Jacana. Great footage you 2. The Chobe River looks amazing
So glad you kept in the ambient sounds in the first segment! It’s brilliant! From this time forward, the Blue Danube waltz will always be the Baboon Waltz for me 😂😂😂😂
7 is my lucky number. From the enticing opening, through the ellies and baboons, to the hippos and beautiful birds, the perfect music, blended with the wonderous sounds of nature, this episode is indeed perfection. Thank you for the joy you brought to my heart today! (Oh, and I'm a chippy fiend too)
I see from comments below I was correct about the Tales from the Vienna Woods....also I think those baboons were into the same "vegetation" that the impalas relaxed with. Absolutely HILARIOUS! As always, well done! p.s. I could watch ellies forever.....
All of your episodes are masterpieces but this one is my very favourite one so far. I especially loved the baboons and the Blue Danube. I miss your sense of humour very much on Wildearth.
That excellent lodge seems not to have changed since 2008. Wonderful memories of cruises and game drives. Elephants walked on both sides of our stopped vehicle on the way to the river. My wife is not an animal person but adored these giants and all the other wildlife. Memories that last...Africa!
Impalas without personalities? Perfect description! Chobe river area is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been. Thanks for bringing back all the memories, Mrs & Mr Hendry.
What a luscious piece this is--visually and aurally. I loved the opening and the closing and the magical "dance of the baboons" set to the perfect music. Elephants galore--the whole thing was just lovely! The colors were spectacular. So nicely done.
The boat cruise from Chobe Safari Lodge. You chose well. We've done that many times over the years. After a long drive from Gaborone it was a nice way to relax that first evening before self-drives began the following morning. I look forward to your next episode from Mkgadikgadi. This is the time of year to be in the Kalahari area. With the rains, not as much draw to Chobe. Go back there sometime in September or October (if you dare due to the heat!). The baboons were hilarious this time!
Brilliant and Funny! Absolutely LOVE the close-ups... Africa's raw beauty so incredibly clear - as if we're right there... Great choice of music, too, especially when the baboons were playing... Fabulous filmmaking! Many thanks for Nature, Music, and Humour. You made my day! BLESS You! & Please STAY SAFE!
Another fantastic episode! Loved the ellies and the baboons were so funny. I remember Jamie saying a long time ago that she would love to have a tail. Watching Mama Baboon it makes sense! The cruise and lodge were lovely. Great photography (always) and musical choices. Thank you for taking us along on your adventures.
Keep up the good work! Just loving this series! The yearning to go there is making my stomach twist! Just the other day a mate asked if I could go anywhere in the world where would it be and I said Chobe and the Okavango! Wish I could get enough time away to get up that side! Unfortunately as a small business owner if I had to leave for any extended time it would just be chaos with the staff and their work! But maybe one day the god's will bless me and allow me to go where my soul longs to be even if only for a short while!
Every moment of this episode was truly spectacular. The footage on the Chobe River (yes?) was so brilliantly blue and beautiful I was moved to tears. Nature does that to me sometimes. But, knowing you two, James & Kirsten, were enjoying it live, behind the camera made it even more special. The African sunset at the finale wrapping up this episode of “me, my wife and the wildlife” was perfect. Can’t wait for the next series.
Wow, what a beautiful trip down the Chobe. The baboons playing had me cracking up. "Here, smell my feet." Then the mom holding junior by the tail. Rofl! Great choice of music once again Kirsten. I love the Drunken Sailor song and it goes through my head a long time after hearing it. Kinda making me want to learn to play it on my fiddle or tin whistle. My kind of breakfast! Thanks again you two for such a wonderful video and letting us tag along.
Hehehe I was cracking up at the baboons. Thanks James & Kristen for another great episode (Bless you Kristen, I know what that’s like to have a little sneezing attack lol)
Me back again. Who did you use for the Boat Trip. Getting the runaround ! Ideally seeking early 08.00/08.30 am 3 Hrs of Private Hire Boat out of Chobe River Lodge in early Sept 2025 ? Thnx v much.
Charle, I was waiting for a baboon to pick up a large bone and whack another baboon upside his head. Then a natural segue away to a vid of the ISS slowly moving through space.
But I made this year, just got back two weeks ago. Between Chobe, Zanbezi and another river that I can;t remember the name of, the birding was excellant.
I know you have a relationship with Chobe4x4 but for someone who does not know how to drive manual transmission (and outside Europe it's quite common for people not to know how to drive manual), can you recommend a company that rents automatics transmission campers.
Gambling with your camera. In the beginning, leaving it on the road like that unsupervised. A baboon could have run off with it. Now that would have been funny for us viewers to see. Not so much yourself though. Enjoyed this video, actually enjoy them all. Saw life jackets on the boat and thought that was good to see. However, not sure what to say, because if the boat springs a leak or whatever and it sinks, you are left with angry hippos that would like to kill you and hungry crocodiles that want to eat you. Not sure you will make it out alive, the orange puffy vest just makes it easier for the hippo and crocs to locate you, bobbing in the water. :)
Nice and lonely! I think you may need to makje a choice of music! Here it becomes the main thing and distracts from the nice scenery. I prefer background music which is not nboticed. It is jsut there. Another reminder not to visit during the wet season!
The "You are a chippy-bean" song and dance. Too strong! One of my favorite parts of this episode. Instant classic.
A masterpiece of filming elephants, eating crisps and ad lib singing. You Sir and your good lady are stars.

I completely agree.
Loved the antics of the young baboons and the adult hanging onto juniors tail. Too funny. Was waiting in anticipation for hippo dung to be flung onto the hapless Jacana. Great footage you 2. The Chobe River looks amazing
Bird looking..."hmmm what has he trodden on, let me see...can I eat this?" Hippo follower 😉 Beautiful stuff as always
Thank you James & Kirsten, love the animal sightings & music & your humour! Blessings x
Glad you enjoyed it
A wonderful episode. Beautiful photography. Stunning. And, thanks for the bird names and songs. Love it all.
So glad you kept in the ambient sounds in the first segment! It’s brilliant!
From this time forward, the Blue Danube waltz will always be the Baboon Waltz for me 😂😂😂😂
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely Magical!

Love the 'labels' identifying birds 💓Very helpful.
Hello beautiful people James and Kirsten ❤️..I must say that Black Heron had such beautiful manners.. thank you as always for sharing xx
I see from comments below I was correct about the Tales from the Vienna Woods....also I think those baboons were into the same "vegetation" that the impalas relaxed with. Absolutely HILARIOUS! As always, well done! p.s. I could watch ellies forever.....
I think Johann Strauss is smiling down on you! What a fabulous episode.
Might be the most relaxing & entertaining video I have ever watched. Thank you Mr. Hendry.
Another Masterpiece. Love the music, it makes me fall in love with Africa all over again!
Thanks, really beautiful. Love the music
when i saw the black heron i was thinking more "night time, day time" from "walk on the wild side" rather than sneezes.
👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you, Judy H. :) :) :) I miss those days!

You choose such wonderful soundtracks!!

Excellent. Loved the baboons with that brilliant music. Well done to the two of you. Keep them coming
Lovely to hear birds ❤️❤️❤️
Loved the Baboon segment , made me think of a comedic ballet.
Enjoyed this so much as I lay in bed recovering from COVID....
Brenda in Florida
Take care, and wishing you a complete recovery.
Hope you get better soon
The more I watch this couple I realize, and I'm sorry I didn't get it sooner, that Kirsten is the funny one that keeps James films entertaining.
Thanks. Loved traveling with you.
Love you guys!

(Bless you Kristen, I know what that’s like to have a little sneezing attack lol)
Amazing capture and the music elevates it even more... If that's possible.
Beautiful can’t wait for the next!
Me back again.
Who did you use for the Boat Trip. Getting the runaround !

Chobe Safari lodge - I meant !!
ahhhhhhh...lovely...i can now commence into my afternoon with a refreshed sense of well being :) ...loved it!
Beautiful
I enjoy and love all your video’s you two put here for us to enjoy. Thank you both, very much!
✌🏻
Thanks for watching!
When I see the hippo I'm so greatful you're in a big boat...
I don't understand why would someone unlike this !!
Enjoy your videos! I see you are fascinated with baboons, and I have to admit they are fascinating! Also seem quite a few Jafi’s
Superb yet again! Thank you both for the amazing efforts you go to in sharing your adventures. Love the music too
Great stuff.
Loved it! Thanks for sharing your adventures! ❤️🙏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Leaver her alone, Mr. Hendry. She is a quiet & beautiful lady. Lol.
Love your song choices... another admirable video..
Simply brilliant!
Many thanks!
Baboons and The Beautiful Blue Danube or (An der schonen, blauen Donau). What a combo! Great episode as usual. Thank you for sharing.
Charle, I was waiting for a baboon to pick up a large bone and whack another baboon upside his head. Then a natural segue away to a vid of the ISS slowly moving through space.
@@BDCF100 all I could do was laugh at the Mom holding tightly to the baby’s tail like “you’re not going anywhere”!
Having a tail really comes in handy in the monkey world- acrobatic artistry and a leash for mom to keep track of little Dennis!
Black Heron >> Nighttime ...... Daytime .... Nighttime .... Daytime....etc
Terrific. Nice Mix of scenes, sounds, music and moods.
Lens envy though - what was it and Body ….. ? Serious piece of kit.
Thank you! Sony A7iii, great camera
Rub it in James! I was booked to go there last October with Lawson's but COVID shut that down.
But with travel back on I just came back from Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe and loved it.
But I made this year, just got back two weeks ago. Between Chobe, Zanbezi and another river that I can;t remember the name of, the birding was excellant.

Sometimes.... just sometimes I feel that the wife and the wildlife are one and the same.
👏👏👏❤❤❤
Lol

Maybe give your wife a name?
Nah, why?
