Not only do you look and act like my brother-in-law, but your video's are the only ones where our 1.5 year old grandson sits and watches enthralled at the wildlife. Thanks so much...and keep it up!
Ex Southern African, living in Canada and have had the pleasure of visiting Chobe National Park three times in the last ten years, one of the best places on the planet in my eyes!! Thanks for sharing your adventures, amazing!!
How I wish these videos were longer. You bring a such joy and vivid reality to whatever you give your fans. Keep on giving, we will accept and enjoy. Thank you.
Dankie James. Wish I could turn the clock back to the days with the 'hanswors' Hosana, the boss Stinkie (Tingana), and the unfortunate Karula and also your episodes with the ellies, bushwalks teaching us so much about nature.
Aaah yes...got me a cup of Rooibos tea, 32 pieces of sushi, lovely Jo'burg evening weather, and a new episode to watch. Is there anything more a man could want... I doubt it.
Awesome video James & Kristen. I really look forward to your adventures. The baby ellies were adorable splashing around in the water/mud. I was waiting for the lions to come out of the bush when you guys were checking out the tracks. Thanks for sharing 🥰👏🐾
Love your choices of music as always 👌💕. The little Ellies always look like they're on their own little fast forward video 😜😂, compared to the older ones moving slowly and deliberately, too cute 🥰
Really enjoyed this - thanks!!! Still waiting to see the two giraffes “necking” which you “enticed” us with at the beginning of this series!! That would be cool to see it live from your eyes!
A little late in watching, but always a delight! Such lushly beauty in these parts. Baby Ele captures were super special and a whole new appreciation for the park clean up staff 😉. All ready for the next episode today. ❤️
Hello from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺❤️. That was such a beautiful video. I miss you being at Sabi Sands but I am loving your wildlife adventures with your wife.
Fish Eagle: " Riiiight.... don't give up your day jobs folks". 😉 Awesome video as always. My little Friday Africa fix up here in the northwest of England.
Wonderful, as always. You both keep getting better at what you do, except for the fish eagle. I'm pretty sure I've heard you do better, James! The lion cub tracks and the baby ellies gave me a huge smile. Thank you for a really bright spot to the week.
That folks was rollicking fun. For a brief while I escaped my mundane reality to a more blissful state I thank the two of you for that. Back to daydreaming for now
This was amazing the photography is so professional !! Great job james ! I loved the baby lion tracks thank you for getting out n showing them ! The elephants also ! Don't think I'll ever eat on a public picnic table again 😂 thank you both for a wonderful time !! Wish I was there with you !
Once again great stuff indeed, loving the sound effects too. Though every time see Kirsten wave her hand in front of her face think that James might have dropped a bomb :D Cheers
Sherryl Weber....whenever you imitate an animal or bird I always go look their sounds up.....but I must say I’m not too sure about your Fish Eagle call 😂😂😂 Wonderful video as always! Perfect music! OMG! Those are tiny baby elephants! So adorable ❤️ and I love them so much! Precious....It is Spring time so I’m assuming all the babies are around and about!
Ah, Serondela picnic spot, I remember that place well - that's where in October'19 one of our travel companions wanted to feed the vervets (we noticed this plan too late to stop her from doing that...) and then all hell broke loose... 🙄 (During the whole trip she repeatedly did stupid things... but besides that it was a wonderful journey 🤩)
that eagle that you showed, reminds me of the eagles I've seen catching fish up here alas it is not in Canada, what did the African Eagle say to the American Eagle visiting in Canada? My God, I think I have less plastic in my insides than you do! That might be true.
I'm really starting to like that #chobe4x4......I like the setup! Thanks Again for Sharing your Adventure! !! But for your fish eagle calls....I believe it was a Parakeet Call!!!! Because my 2 Parakeets were calling back to you!!!!
Love your work James. Miss you on Wildearth Live and all your funny accents and of course a headstand right there in the bush! Your photography is so good, thank you. Feels like we are right there with you. I’m a new subbie. Best regards to you both from Pietermaritzburg
Thank you for your videos. I am really enjoying your self drive safari videos - it's a dream for me to do something like that and it's great to know it is possible. Only issue for me is Chobe4x4 only has manual transmission vehicles and only 1 roof top tent. I'd need an automatic transmission vehicle and 2 rooftop tents, which I saw some other companies offer.
Hello There Barry here from Chobe4x4 We have Toyota Land Cruiser with two roof top tents and four doors. Fully kitted out for four guests. Toyota only makes the Landcruiser 79 in mannual transmissions. The automatic cars are smaller and lower and not as tough for the bush thats why we don't offer them. Hope this helps. Best regards Barry
Not so great to hear you hurt your neck James but the rest was spot on. Always enjoy thx James and Kirsten and feel better soon James. Oh I agree heat and maybe even heat then ice switch back and forth.
James, what time of year was this? I went in the winter (end of July) and there was nowhere near as much wildlife about as in your video. Also I’d like to know when places shut due to the rains as once it’s legal and safe to fly from Scotland I’ll hopefully be on the next flight.. I really love your videos and chats and thank you for sharing.
We're loving all your videos! What sorts of cameras are you using for your set up? It looks like a full frame with the 200-600, a crop sensor on the gimbal handheld, and a gopro or something similar in the windshield? You've got a great setup to tell the story from a lot of different angles!
@@JamesHendry Cool! Thanks for the reply. We're headed to Namibia for a month at the end of June, and I've got a very similar setup. We're looking forward to being back in Southern Africa!
There's nothing quite like Chobe. But, I also know it's a challenging time to see game there. While it's beautiful, with all the rain, the game no longer needs to come to the river as frequently. There's water further south. I've been there in October and seen thousands of elepants. I've been there in March and April and one time saw ONE elephant. We've camped at Serondela but the last time there, I didn't like the new rules for the local guides from the Kasane area. Routes handed out a the gate and then no back-tracking. Maybe that has changed again. This was several years ago.
We didn't get any routes handed to us - maybe things have changed? The rains definitely did change the movement of the animals, would love to go back in the dry season to see the difference...
@@JamesHendry The routes were handed out at the Kasane gate to the drivers in the early morning. At the time, self-drives couldn't enter there until 10am! Then, they had to drive straight to Ihaha. I hope it has changed. We first went to Chobe in 1988 in a Volkswagen Passat pulling a trailer! We had no clue, but we never got stuck driving all around Serondela. Really enjoy your videos and your unique understanding of wildlife interactions.
Another fun time in the bush with the Hendry's, thanks! Also find your self a P38 can opener, very small but does the job. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-38_can_opener
James, the water in which the elephants were submersing themselves(vegetation also around) - is this temporary from so much rain or is this in a naturally swampy area? I`m used to seeing them at a watering hole that is defined but this is something else ....the little ones seem to have had trouble trodding through it - so cute!
Not only do you look and act like my brother-in-law, but your video's are the only ones where our 1.5 year old grandson sits and watches enthralled at the wildlife. Thanks so much...and keep it up!

The ellies slushing about in the swampy areas is great to see, especially the little tots! Thank you for lovely footage.
The added sound effects just make my day (with the banded mongoose last time and now the indigo bird). Keep them coming!
This latest installment of James and Christen is very good. The quality of videos continue to improve as well as the editing with the music.
Awesome picture quality, editing, and music choices....wow! 💜💚💛
Thank you very much!

Great shots of the elephants.
That is the worst Fish Eagle call ever James. And don't make fun of my favorite RSA bird, the noble Bostrychia Hagedash! LOL
I do look forward to Fridays. Thank you both xx
