    Good job, but at £129, wouldn't it be better to just buy a new sink?

      Hi Martin, thanks for getting in on the chat. If the sink can be easily replaced, like it’s fitted on top of the worktop, then yes, replacing is the best option. However, if the sink is fitted under wood, granite (quartz/marble), Corrian, or any other expensive material, then replacing it can be a very costly little building project. We aim to provide a solution where you can get a new looking sink, without removing (and potentially damaging) the worktop. Happy to answer any more questions 😀

      @@GrantTheSurfaceSaver This looks like it works perfectly, and I wish you lived in Newfoundland , Canada.. Re: wouldn't it be better to just buy a new sink .. ??? Not a chance. That sink and many others are older classics (like my parents old sink that's been there for 65 years now.. ) .. Wish I had the product here.. so I could try it .. The sink I have would cost several thousand to replace .. A great keepsake for the family home as well .. :-( .. Oh well .. Hope it's in Canada ............. somewhere..

    This is awesome! What if your sink has some cracked enamel and rust is exposed? Do those areas need to be covered up with some other compound, or should you just glaze over them?

      Hi, best to fill and cover cracks and rust with automotive body filler before resin resurfacing. Upol is a great brand. Use Fibral for structural cracks and p.38 for general filling and smoothing

    Wonderful !! Can a grit be added to this? I wanna do my ol' farm sink, with a grit look that they make nowadays and charge a fortune for..lol. Thanks! Are there colors avail

    • @GrantTheSurfaceSaver
      @GrantTheSurfaceSaver  2 года назад

      We’ve seen a grit finish on outdoor sinks, but the more rough the finish, the harder it would be to clean. We would avoid a grit type finish for indoors, but if you don’t mind having to clean it all the time, go for it! Not sure where you’d buy the product though sorry

    Maybe next time remove the trap from underneath, put a bucket under it then poke a hole in the tape where the drain is! Just a thought! 🤷‍♂️

      Spot on 🙂. That’s how we do it for baths and sinks, when we can get the waste off. This sink was pretty old and the waste had ceased on. We will be doing another kitchen sink video soon where we take the waste off and put a tray under it. Make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss that one 👍👍
