My boyfriend went through a very similar situation as a child & his father passed away. When we started dating, I asked him if he felt uncomfortable being around water. He said that he decided not to let that traumatic experience make him stop enjoying something he loved so much & overcame his fear not too long after it happened. They took his statement...apparently they went swimming and she didnt get back on the boat...how did he manage to get on alone. They found him asleep on the boat. He could have been out there for hours or minutes.
That's what I don't get. Did he sleep before she jumped in the water ? Or after he didn't find his mom ? Or maybe did they swim together then she helped him get on the boat and told him that she'll be back and he slept while waiting ?

It IS weird. Maybe she felt comfortable enough and that’s why but yes, it is weird. It’s weird for the same reason women always go to the bathroom together when they’re out drinking. Men don’t do that. Why? So they don’t get taken advantage of or overpowered. Why do women feel scared walking alone at night and men don’t? Men and women are built differently. And let’s be honest, mostly men are into fishing and stuff. Not saying that women can’t be. Men just happen to have more of an interest in it and therefore, probably know more or are more equipped. They too should at least have another adult and sometimes men just overestimate their abilities. So of course no ones going to ask that question about a father and son.
Going swimming is way different then staying on a boat and fishing. The fact that this happened only supports the argument of having another adult especially in such a large body of water. If she was in distress in the water someone would be there to help her.

She literally looks like a normal mom. She doesn’t slam the door neither or at least from what I can tell. If you slam a door you swing your body into it to thrust in anger, yknow like a punch. I don't think she appears frightened at all. I think she appears to be pissed. Maybe he was tired or unhappy on the way to the lake, and she had had enough. @@miahoran2914 The Lake Store building is right above the parking lot. I am sure this footage was shot from that location. I also think it's probably pretty common at boat ramps for people to park far out to make room for vehicles towing boat trailers. I know I do just to decrease the chances my truck will be hit by some inexperienced driver trying to move a boat for the first time. Plus, with Covid going on and her being a lone woman with a small child there are plenty of reasons for her to want to park her car out away from others vehicles just to be safe.

It’s a big lake. The camera probably only covers the docks. They’re there a security measure for the boats, not for monitoring people on the lake. Her accident didn’t happen in the part of the lake covered by the camera.

It was an orchestrated suicide. I'm full of joy she let her son live and knowing the rented boat would need to be accounted for by end of day. She did jump in yes. ..then she let the current take her life. She seemed very depressed and like the type of person that would want this mysterious ending. I'm so confused about the bag situation... yesterday I heard from some news that they discovered it was Naya Rivera because they found her belongings in the car, someone asked how would she rent a boat without her ID and money/card? So I was expecting her to bring her bag back to the car. But now that I watch this footage I realize that not only did she not bring her bag back to the car, but that they took with them a dark colored backpack and a big white bag for her and a smaller white bag for the Josey. Did she have multiple IDs, on her and in the car? Did she disappear with the bags? Did the investigators find the bags on the boat and probably didn't find anything suspicious? They’ll need to call people, track her movements for the day & try to establish her state of mind at the time. That can’t all be done in two days. Also, California goes through rain/drought cycles. A lake that’s 75 ft deep today could well have been 125 ft deep 5 years ago. I went back to Lake Shasta in NorCal about 5 years ago & I hadn’t been there in many years. Well, the lake had dropped a good 80-100 ft during that drought. What was a very deep lake 30 years ago wasn’t nearly as deep when I was there. Now, it may have recovered it’s previous depth by now, I don’t know. The point is, things are complicated & shit takes time to figure out. That doesn’t mean people are being deceitful or there’s a conspiracy going on. It could simply mean that they haven’t gotten a return call from a key witness. Just relax, everyone.

I think it all adds up to something very strange. The way she was walking so quickly and making her young son follow her. Do you have any children? Because I do (one is also 4) and I always hold his hand in a parking lot and go slowly at his own pace. I’m a video editor and I can tell you for free this footage has 100% been edited clear cuts throughout the video seems there trying to minimise the identity of one of the men at the dock not sure why though but from my expertise at every angle we’re he appears you see clear cuts and distortion if you zoom in on the man at 1:04 you see the clear distortion and edit very weird.

Anyone else see shortly after the 4:00 mark there’s a small dark shadow that passes over her car and disappears, (from right to left) and shortly after another shadow (from left to right) comes from the left of her driver side and moves right quickly. The footage needs to be zoomed in u can see multiple people walk away from her boat before it took off and it looked like three people walking back. She wasn’t there alone clearly and who knows if someone was on the boat with her u can’t see all in the footage u just see her for a little then she fades and u see multiple people walking around

They need to ask family if it was common for her to go out on the boat alone with her son. Everyone has their own ways but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a woman and child out on a lake alone.

For me it was only an accident. Cause she always said he was the love of her life. She would never do something bad to him (that's why he was wearing the life vest and she wasn't). wtf this comment makes no sense. The pace of walking doesn't determine whether or not someone is about to commit suicide. My boyfriend went through a very similar situation as a child & his father passed away. When we started dating, I asked him if he felt uncomfortable being around water. He said that he decided not to let that traumatic experience make him stop enjoying something he loved so much & overcame his fear not too long after it happened. She seems very annoyed with her son. I agree her hands are full and perhaps she couldn't hold his, but she walks noticeably ahead of him as if he isn't even there. I don't think she appears frightened at all. I think she appears to be pissed. Maybe he was tired or unhappy on the way to the lake, and she had had enough. If you're concerned for your safety, would you just leave a small child toggling 8 feet behind you?

I also think it's probably pretty common at boat ramps for people to park far out to make room for vehicles towing boat trailers. I know I do just to decrease the chances my truck will be hit by some inexperienced driver trying to move a boat for the first time. Plus, with Covid going on and her being a lone woman with a small child there are plenty of reasons for her to want to park her car out away from others vehicles just to be safe.

It’s a big lake. The camera probably only covers the docks. They’re there a security measure for the boats, not for monitoring people on the lake. Her accident didn’t happen in the part of the lake covered by the camera.

She did jump in yes. ..then she let the current take her life. She seemed very depressed and like the type of person that would want this mysterious ending. The ONLY reason she would bring her child if she had planned to die this day would be if she was planning on ending both their lives. Makes no sense to intentionally leave him alone out on the boat. I’m with you though, if it was indeed suicide, I’m betting she had a more grim plan in mind for her kid, why I have no idea. Is there dispute with the father or family? I'm so confused about the bag situation... yesterday I heard from some news that they discovered it was Naya Rivera because they found her belongings in the car, someone asked how would she rent a boat without her ID and money/card? So I was expecting her to bring her bag back to the car. But now that I watch this footage I realize that not only did she not bring her bag back to the car, but that they took with them a dark colored backpack and a big white bag for her and a smaller white bag for the Josey. Did she have multiple IDs, on her and in the car? Did she disappear with the bags? Did the investigators find the bags on the boat and probably didn't find anything suspicious? A lake that’s 75 ft deep today could well have been 125 ft deep 5 years ago. I went back to Lake Shasta in NorCal about 5 years ago & I hadn’t been there in many years. Well, the lake had dropped a good 80-100 ft during that drought. What was a very deep lake 30 years ago wasn’t nearly as deep when I was there. Now, it may have recovered it’s previous depth by now, I don’t know. The point is, things are complicated & shit takes time to figure out. That doesn’t mean people are being deceitful or there’s a conspiracy going on. It could simply mean that they haven’t gotten a return call from a key witness. Just relax, everyone.

Haha! Yeah there's not much to do out there with places being closed. I think that's why so many people have been involved in this mystery. For me I love watching Forensic Files so these type of stories always catch my attention. Anyway, since that first day she went missing I said it was a suicide and people got mad at me. I’m a video editor and I can tell you for free this footage has 100% been edited clear cuts throughout the video seems there trying to minimise the identity of one of the men at the dock not sure why though but from my expertise at every angle we’re he appears you see clear cuts and distortion if you zoom in on the man at 1:04 you see the clear distortion and edit very weird.

Anyone else see shortly after the 4:00 mark there’s a small dark shadow that passes over her car and disappears, (from right to left) and shortly after another shadow (from left to right) comes from the left of her driver side and moves right quickly. I’m trying to see if it’s birds flying but there is something weird about those shadows. Poor thing. Just heartbreaking for such a young mama and her precious little one. 🙏🏽

The footage needs to be zoomed in u can see multiple people walk away from her boat before it took off and it looked like three people walking back. She wasn’t there alone clearly and who knows if someone was on the boat with her u can’t see all in the footage u just see her for a little then she fades and u see multiple people walking around

They need to ask family if it was common for her to go out on the boat alone with her son. Everyone has their own ways but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a woman and child out on a lake alone.

I am believing more and more that her death was suicide! This whole case seems off to me. Who goes out on a boat at the riskiest deep big rivers In California to swim!?!? No one is around. Who parks their car alone? She must have been distracted. She's walking in front of him carelessly without holding his hand and he's like 4 years old. Why would you even wanna swim I a horror looking lake like that? What's that telling you psychologically? She suffered from s lot of guilt and depression. Maybe she thought about taking her son's life too but couldn't? She didn't want to do it, so she left him on a boat to die? And what's with the captions on her latest Instagram posts? "Just the two of us" which is also a title written by Eminem about his child's mother in the river (google the song and you'll automatically see comments about Naya. People are starting to realize something isn't right with this case.) Naya wasn't the happiest person and she def struggled with her sexual orientation of her being bisexual, body self-shame, being bipolar, drugs, relationships, having an abortion, and a divorce. I'm glad that the boy stayed on the boat asleep. It wasn't meant for him to die.

For me it was only an accident. Cause she always said he was the love of her life. She would never do something bad to him (that's why he was wearing the life vest and she wasn't). wtf this comment makes no sense. The pace of walking doesn't determine whether or not someone is about to commit suicide. Someone could be running and decide to jump off a cliff or they can just stand and fall right off. It doesn't matter. However she was walking like she was in a hurry and she paid very little attention to her son the entire time that they were walking to the dock. Also the way she parked was very odd. I'm actually interested in what she was carrying in the bags. It seemed heavy and cumbersome and the police have yet to say what was in the content of those bags or if the bags were even on the boat.
