      I'd recommend checking on the Fordification.com forums or tech articles. It is a wealth of information.

    Paul P i do not know if this will help you out or not . but to me in the video it looks like the bracket on the pass. side is directly across from the one on the driver,s side . i am in the same boat as you are . my pass. side bracket is also missing.

    I have a 1973 mustang. Changed the battery cables and got into it and the brake light was flashing and buzzer was going off after we hooked up battery. Without keys in it. Do you know what would cause this?

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  3 года назад

      It probably still has the safety belt warning system. Plug the seat belt into the receiver and see if the buzzer and light stop.

    • @erosier6845
      @erosier6845 3 года назад

      I did that and brake light still flashing and buzzer still buzzing with no key in ignition. Hook up battery and just starts going of, both of them. Doors aren't even open for buzzer to go off. It's nothing I've ever dealt with before. When we changed battery , we made sure everything went in the same way. But as soon as we Hook up the battery the brake light flashed and buzzer buzzing intermittently. Seat belt is locked as well. Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Hi everyone,
    can you please tell me the exact name of the JBA performance exhaust? Some link would be nice too. Thanks so much !

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  10 лет назад

      Boss next week we'll give the whole enchilada. BUT JBA has a pretty good search engine: www.jbaheaders.com/ look in the upper right corner and select your year and go from there. The rear section is PN: 40-2654. The H-pipe is: 1654SH. The headers we used is: 1653SJS

    One thing the cable rides on mufflers and eventually burns it off like my 69 all new cables, don't want that to happen again.

    Just guessing if this works on a 69 mustang (emergency brake installation), cause mine doesnt have anything, so i want to fix it.
    If not where i can find a video or diagram about this, cause i havent found one yet ( of a mustang 69)
    Thanks, and great videos.

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  8 лет назад

      +cordova1912 It is very similar. We'd recommend getting the assembly manuals from NPD. The manuals cover all aspects of the assembly of these cars.

      Man, sorry, we don't have a '67-'68 anywhere near the shop right now. The '67 fastback is now living in Germany.

    Any chance you have a video on how to "re-chrome" interior knobs on a Mustang? The do not make aftermarket ones for my 71.

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  10 лет назад

      Actually, your best bet night be a place like GCar Trim: www.gcartrim.com/ Jeff keeps hoping that Scott Drake or Carpenters will reproduce these knobs...so far no luck.

    Hey guys, great videos as always. I have a 67 Coupe that I converted to rear disc. I need to order new cables and I am not sure where to start the measurement from? I see a couple cable lengths on the NPD website but just not sure what the right lengths will be.

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  2 года назад

      I'd probably start with the mount point on the brake backing plate then measure to the tie point near the trans crossmember.. Contact NPD and talk with your sales rep explaining the issue they might be able to get you a measurement.

    Jeff - You mentioned that the undercarriage is not quite what you would like it too be. I have been wondering, what is your perfect "recipe" for a good looking, long lasting undercarriage? i.e. what types of coatings do you like on the floor pans, etc.

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  10 лет назад

      Well I'd basically finish out the underside like the top. Clean it down to good metal, good self etching primer, then a flat single stage paint that mimics the Red Oxide (or what ever color the car was underneath). I also paint the components; if the part was cast steel, I use paints like Rustoleum to re-finish them since that brand has a good rep for not rusting. If the car is left with bare components time and humidity will beat them down.

    • @basstracker188
      @basstracker188 10 лет назад

      AutoRestoMod Do you ever use undercoatings? If so what types/brands do you like? Or do you prefer to stick with the OE red primer look?

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  10 лет назад

      Collin Hinz Typically I've only done factory looks. If I were going to do something on the underside, I'd probably go LizardSkin sound and heat barrier.

    • @basstracker188
      @basstracker188 10 лет назад

      AutoRestoMod Sorry to drag this on, but how would you say the aluminum faced butyl rubber products like dynamat compare to lizard skin? I guess I always thought of lizard skin as an interior product, but I suppose it would be just as effective on the outside?

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  10 лет назад

      Collin Hinz No worries. We plan to use the Lizardskin on the wagon on the outside of the storage compartment that is behind the axle and in the "heat line". Lizardskin is great for that kind of application where you have no place to put the sound deadener or heat barrier. If you want to ask more questions contact Jeff at: jford@autorestomod.com

      We might do a rear disc swap. And the Crown Vic is a good idea. But it will have to be after the 50th.

    why not just show how to install the brake cables and leave out all the painting because not everyone used soda to strip the paint thumbs down

    • @AutoRestoMod
      @AutoRestoMod  7 лет назад

      What does that mean?! So yo don't want us to show tips and tricks to fix issues? Improve your car's looks? Come on Angela, the paint tips/ techniques work on things that aren't soda blasted. We restore what we work on. I don't do hack jobs. If you just want to see the other stuff fast forward.
