I personally never get that affected by gutter lost, I've been reading the Scott Snyders Omnibuses which I heard are some of the worst with this issue and it doesn't bother me at all, and I can still read and enjoy the art. Great video and excited to get this Omni at some point.
Yeah I just don't understand how DC constantly seems to disappoint in that area. I mean, it is a big book, but I feel like if Marvel can do a better job with a book thay size, it should be easy enough for DC to duplicate that.
You answered your own question about printing. If you look at the dustjacket right below the barcode it says that the book is printed and bound in Canada. I was seriously debating getting this omnibus along with the Tomasi Superman, but if I understand correctly the 4 volume deluxe hardcovers collect most of the material with the exception of a sidestory that isn't integral to the main story. It's almost like DC is using printers in Canada for all of their collections. I recently bought the Geoff Johns Teen Titans omni, which should be out of print in the US, but seems to be evergreen in Canada. I'm guessing you got yours though Indigo during a sale. Not complaining about the DC collections but I feel like with all the chaos going on over there we might see a real slowdown in collections in the future.
Yeah I ended up ordering the majority of my omnis from the b2g1f Indigo sale. You end up waiting a little longer for some of the Marvel books, but DC comes earlier so it kind of works out. And yeah, the Deluxe editions do the trick if you're just looking for oversized hardcovers.

So gutter loss is when you have a thick book like an omnibus, which has the binding too tight, and doesn't allow the pages to be fully seen when you open the book. In the middle of the book, the two pages will be too close together.
I ordered it from Indigo.ca as I'm in Canada, I think I paid about $105 for it since it was during a B1G1F sale. It's normally like $190 in Canada plus tax so I would maybe wait for a sale?

Yes, the Omnibus has Tynion's stories for both the Robin 80th anniversary (which is like a prologue to the run) as well as his story from Detective Comics 1000. It also collects the Night of the Monster Men Batfamily crossover, which was not a part of the Detective Comics Deluxes.
I feel like this is a book that needs to be read through once or twice for it the open up better, it looked nice in the Near Mint Condition overview so Idk

I hear you... but if you're in the States check instocktrades and other online places that sell omnis for cheap! Even Amazon has sales sometimes on them.
dc have no idea how to make a omnibus with a good spine,always the mousetraps this is why i dont buy dc omnis,that thight binding will destroy the spine after awhile, most of my dc omnis is in bad shap because of it. sticking with marvel omnis for me

I can tell you that the Deluxe editions are by far the better route to go when I looked at them both.

Ohhh...so that's the reason why they stopped producing Deluxe Hardcovers for the Tynion run of Detective comics....
Well they made up to 4 Deluxe books which is what this Omnibus is.

It is all of Tynion's run, which I think is all of Rebirth... as it would be the first 4 deluxe editions of the Rebirth hardcovers
