      Considering how expensive maps must have been to make, you'd think they'd take better care of them.
      And don't forget they couldn't have been too common in the first place! haha

      It provides a new tactical layer of difficulty to the moving of little statues over a piece of paper without facing any serious injuries, otherwise it would be too easy.

    This scene is so dramatic it's awesome. First you have Josie throwing down the chips like a hustler and then intensely writing letters. Then you see Leliana sending off spy hawks and posing like a boss ready for a broody covershoot. Then you see Cullen pause and dramatically push his chip in place and then walk up to lead his troops like freakin' Simba climbing Pride Rock. Plus you get the added bonus of seeing all the people from different regions that you recruited over time rallying together and getting all stabby with maps (what IS it with video games and map stabbing?). It's slightly corny, super dramatic, and perfectly Dragon Age (which means I love it).

    kinda wish there was more to this somehow..
    Like maybe there was a mission to stop a coup in Denerim against King Alistair/Queen Anora (or both) and the results of that are reflected in this scene, where Alistair/Anora or both lead Fereldan Soldiers into battle, (maybe even a scene where Alistair puts on a Grey Warden helmet to go into battle)
    or depending on whether or you saved the mages or the templars you see either one
    (mages): Fiona leads her forces from Skyhold
    (templars): Ser Barris leads the templars against their enemies in battle

      Agreed, Witcher 3, Dragon Age Inquisition followed by a modded Skyrim made some of my best gaming experiences.

    • @joeymitchell2862
      @joeymitchell2862 7 лет назад +12

      Skyrim is one of the worst RPGs ever imo. Game world is lame, not nearly as diverse or scenic as comparable AAA titles like Dark Souls or Dragon Age Inquisition. Game play is horribly repetitive and clunky, not engaging at all. No diversity in enemies, the dungeons all look the same, and have the same skeleton and human enemies copy+pasted in. Story is the worst part, can't believe there are people in this world that actually think Skyrim is a story-driven video game. mediocre writing, and hands down the WORST voice acting in AAA gaming history. Could still be carried by decent writing or character development despite having 3 voice actors, but it's still the worst atmosphere of any "story-based RPG" it really has nothing that interests me, most overrated game I've ever played.
      The Witcher 3 and Inquisition are timeless masterpieces that neither one should ever be compared to Skyrim, both are vastly superior. They are still not as good as the pinnacle masterpiece Baldur's Gate 2.

    I would have been a lot more satisfied with this game if the montage had just included scenes that signified your choices mattered. Even a 5 second scene of the Grey Wardens or Mages or Templars, depending on who you gathered.

      OurlostIsland You can see either the mages or templars fighting in the actual mission, the wardens do not join you in the arbor wilds since they are vulnerable to Corypheus mind control.

    • @Zenkx
      @Zenkx 9 лет назад +9

      OurlostIsland
      I saw these guys while I explored the Wilds before I got to the Temple entrance:
      Inquisition soldiers
      Orlesian Soldiers (from Celene/Gaspard) and Elven rouges (from Briala... or at least that's what I saw)
      Grey Wardens (if you told them to stay and help instead of Exiling)
      The Bull's Chargers (if you let them live, I met Krem on the way to the temple but he didn't say anything. I don't know if you'll have Qunari fighters if you sided with the dreadnaught in Bull's mission [because I love the Chargers way too much])
      The Mages or the Templars (depends on which mission you did)
      I think I spotted the Blades of Hessarian there once too.

    While I'm generally appreciative of the music in "Inquisition," I think there is opportunity wasted here. See, I wish each adviser has his/her own little motif (Leliana's can be her theme from the "Leliana's Song" DLC, for example), and I wish those motifs can be layered under the Inquisition theme as each of them plays their part in the Arbor Wilds assault.

    • @willm3856
      @willm3856 6 лет назад +3

      I believe the character themes had to be non-existent because of their characters and personalities already fulfilling their roles in-game

    • @sasakelala3360
      @sasakelala3360 3 года назад +6

      no. These three build a unity. You can see it in the tiny figures. All three have some and in the end they stand together.
      They are the core advisors of your inquisition. They unite, with each playing to their strengths.
      Having one song shows their combined forces, shows the united force of the inquisition. Your inquisition. So it makes perfect sense.

    Is it sad that I think this still one of my favourite gaming greatest cinematics of all time? Yes it's too brief BUT after all those loooong the hours collecting bloody elfroot and slaying demons, dragons, red-templars, rogue mages etc etc it is the perfect cinematic to get you going again (like the starting cinematic when you and the gang declare the Inquisition officially open at Heaven).

    And then there's some skirmishes in the woods, no sight of an actual battle. Why did we even need an army? Does the other side have one? And it all ends with no conclusion to the battle anyhow but flying through a mirror. When this happened I was hyped, then my hype turned into disappointment.
