I really want you to play Shumi Come Home when it comes out, its a cozy and easy puzzle game. I cant wait for it to come out, i've only played the demo!
Muey just broke me. Thinking of Jake, my boy, Gray tiger stripe cat rescue and my friend. Lost him to cancer at 5. So glad Muey came back to life after saving the world. I would have hurt if he didn't. What is wrong with me? Thanks, Morphy, for the cool games you choose for us. You ARE very smart. Don't sell yourself short.
This game was an unanticipated gem and the first to rival what Playdead popularized, though with a much more uplifting and soulful experience that isn't ashamed to wear its heart on its sleeve. I'm as jaded as they come and usually unimpressed when I'm being emotionally manipulated, but this game does it with such charm that I cried like a girl at times. 😂 The gaming world needs more of these kind of titles. 👍
It made me cry in the end, I’m not going to lie. I was moved by the scene and epic final battle. What a journey! I love in-game animal companions and they always make me melt like an ice cream, especially when they look adorable and make cute sounds, as Mui did. I was also deeply disturbed by the idea of robots going nuts and overprotective. They didn’t hurt people, they collected them to isolate in some sort of protective bubbles… thus hurting them anyway. I think Mui is not the robot, in the end there might be some powerful electric impulse that brought him back to life. Other robots don’t seem to possess the same power as Mui, the ability to connect with wildlife creatures and control them. OR, it could be the other way round: all wildlife we saw was robotic. This could also be true, because it was in the same color scheme as robots: black body and glowing lights.
Mui is not a robot and the wildlife is not robotic, that's for sure. When Lana saw Mui in the cage heading towards the box with the saws, you can see fluids run out after each animal gets into the box.
This is exactly the playthrough I was looking for. It has commentary, it's the full game, there's no jumpcuts, and no screamy youtubers always advertising their patreon or something.
That whole game was literally like a movie and I was on the edge of my seat tbh. I love games like this. I was bawling like a baby towards the end though 🥺🥺🥺🥺 thank you for making this. The music is great. I loved it.
1:43:48 2:47:37 peaceful song with lyrics about finding the way home 1:152:43:39 I like the bungalow village over the water. Beautiful game and music. 30:49 I would rather quest with a animal companion. 1:24:38-1:24:58 Terrifying? Big whales are peaceful to me. Beautiful night blue ocean scene. 2:10:50 Ridding across the desert. 2:30:37 Babies need to be raised by people. Not robots. Babies cry from loneliness. 2:32:05 Nice place, but still a prison. I'm surprised the robots gave the people some plants. 2:42:18 Nice scene with islands. I like the spider robots. 2:43:58 It's nice the people get to have the robots. But why did the robots kidnap the people? 2:48:36 I prefer if Mui wasn't a robot, but a real animal pet. Cyborg may be ok. I prefer to think Mui has powers. The wiki said Mui is a cat. Planet of Lana is by a indie Swedish studio named Wishfully founded in 2018. Nice name. This is their debut game.
That is such an awesome interpretation! It didn’t even cross my mind that Mui could be a robot but your theory is really good and totally makes sense, considering the light in their eyes and the other “wildlife” and how they can hypnotize them. It also makes sense that the other wildlife is being brought back as though it’s being recycled. Super interesting and such an awesome soundtrack, and I love the cinematic moments. Always a pleasure to watch you play Morph ❤
I actually cried when the little critter died. I said game please don't end like this. You remember Prince of Persia that's an old game. Beautiful game the art work was very relaxing and scary at the same time. Thank you uploading this playthrough.
Morph, thank you for your videos and all the hard work you do! They are so nice to watch when I feel anxious or even to sleep to at night. Your calm voice and demeanor are so nice.
I just download this game and to answer your question I'd take the companionship over anything I'd also have a plush with me because I never go far without one! also I absolutely love your voice and your RUclips and TikTok and podcast, I hope you eventually would think about reading the warrior cat books or wings of fire both really good book series : 3
I'm binge watching so forgive the comments on older vids, but this reminds me so much of The Last Guardian. Gorgeous puzzle solver game with the same sort of found companion dynamic. It was one of the first games I played when we got our PS5 and the entire household was enraptured in the story. Thanks for the memory!
This game was a gorgeous masterpiece. I would have been inconsolable if Mui couldn't be saved. It's been a long time since a game made me feel such deep emotions.
So good I had to watch it twice (and probably more in the future)! Personally, I don’t really like side scrolling games but I do enjoy watching someone else play it. Glad to have you play these games for me Morph!
yeah i think that the programming is the melody and they forgot how it went so it became twisted and they botched the job a bit. and in the end mui fixes the code. btw his eyes were white from the beginning like the robots in the end so thats cool
Hey MadMorph, I found your channel through searching for this game. I just wanna say thank you for the playthrough man, I haven't watched it yet but I'm about to. Thanks for playing the game, recording the wonderful experience and sharing it with us so we can also indulge in the beautiful universe of Planet of Lana :)
The planet of Lana reminds me of one or two other games I have played in the past but mostly reminds me of the Last Guardian, particularly with the way the two main characters speak and sound, also sounds like the game Ico too.
This was such a cute and emotional game. It was a delight watching you play it and only made me want to play it for myself. It has me wondering if you've ever played Child of Light.
The invasion part of the game at the beginning reminds me of “War of the Worlds” in a sense. Also, this game peaks my interest as I’ve kinda been into these sides rolling puzzle games (thanks to The Missing: JJ Macfield and the Island of Memories. Gruesome game but it’s a very interesting one as well, definitely recommend particularly for the story and the moral of it) so when I’m able to, I’ll definitely give this game a try
really great playthrough, thank you morph! yeah i definitely think mui is a robot, or some sort of bio+synthetic combination. particularly because he can control the wildlife (and the bots were taking the wildlife back up to the ship -- possibly indicating they made all of the wildlife in the first place when first colonizing planet lana? sort of seemed like they were 'recycling' the material to use as fuel for the ship or possibly to keep all the humans on board fed during the space trip)
The journey different yet some parts and the style is like the Inside n other one that keep forgetting the older just blacked out figures like the creatures
from 2:01:10 to 2:01:14 you completely cut the part on how you got around those two robots. that's the whole reason i came to this video and fast forwarded to this part just so i could find out how it was possible. because i tried everything i could think of. what a rip. why do you call this a playthrough if you skip over the most important parts?

The part I needed got cut, just my luck 2:01:13
my bad, idk how so many are stuck there, it felt so inconsequential and took 1 life so it was cut for time because it was a pretty boring puzzle
This reminds me of Limbo and Inside. It has that strong vibe of these two games, but much more cheerful and soulful.

WHYYYYYYYY why skip the solve of the puzzle?
sooo beautiful wow
It looks and sounds amazing and I liked/completed a similar game called Inside... BUT the gameplay here looks boring. Am I wrong?
When there's a cut whole chunks of the game are skipped. Wtf?!

Why did you just skip at around 32min in ??? That's where I'm stuck and it's kinda disheartening for you to just ignore it. NOT a full game.
Terribly boring game. inside, gris, little nightmares were all so far ahead of this snore fest.
2:01:13 WTF?
" hours 2 mins you skip ahead what is the point of a walk through where you miss bits out?
fuck i was already in 1/4 of the game after half hour XD
boring asf not worth playing.
